The 9th Division Training Grounds are underneath a large dojo. While the first floor could be used for unseated officer training, the basement has been made to appear as a large open field in which it is always sunny, and there is no wind. It's design allows the release of a Captain's Bankai to unhinder anyone else on the upper level, or in the Squad Grounds.
