In the world of Gaia, a strangely empty maternity would be found. Mainly because of where it was situated. The inside was mainly of pale blue and white, no posters or leaflets or any kind were to be found.
Infact it would of looked like no body had stepped foot in the place at all if it wasn't for how clean the place was, and the bell on the desk. A small sign next to it reading "please ring bell for assistance".
Though a computer could just be seen through the reception window, flickering slightly now and again.

"Come along, Vincira...come on. Come on- THIS way, Vincira, please...."
An exasperated, lanky man came ambling into the building, guiding someone else along with gentle, insistent, and awkward shoves.
The someone else in question happened to be Vincira - clad in a straightjacket and muzzle and looking rather vicious at present. Her eyes were wild, her pendant flickering.
She wasn't on her meds right now.
Doctor Crane was looking exasperated - but couldn't help but to notice the...strange sterility of the place. Even Arkham wasn't this clean.
But it WAS empty, and that was what he needed. Low-key. No one need know what happened.
Dubiously, he reached forward and rang the bell.

As soon as the bell rang, a sudden thud and shake came from the desk, followed by a hand peaking over the side. In the hand's grasps was what appeared to be a very neatly shuffled pack of cards, which suddenly bursted out at the couple standing at the reception window.
Once that was Cray immediately stood up, holding his labcoat over his mouth in a way Dracula would do with his cape. Thinking he had suddenly appeared from a smoke bomb rather then a flying deck of cards.

Vincira screeched deep in her throat beneath the muzzle - and strangely, many of those cards ended up floating in the air around her, spinning idly before shooting off in all directions.
Crane, on the other hand, simply jumped a little and backpedaled before calming. As soon as he spotted Cray, his clear blue eyes turned cold, narrowing.
"...Cute." A flat and sarcastic tone. "But I don't recommend startling this one. Fear...does strange things to her." He walked up to the desk, grabbing at Vincira's shoulder.
"We are here for an appointment."
He twitched a bit as one of the flying cards - the Queen of Hearts - went sailing into his neck.
The woman beat her wings once, droplets of blood hitting the clean floor. She gave Cray a rather evil look, her pendant flickering red briefly before going back to white.

"Oooh Reeeeally?" He said, not really paying attention and leaning over the desk to stare at the blood splattering on the floor. Whoo! Something to do while loneliness kicked in again.
Leaning back up, he just grinned oddly at them before turning to his computer and pressing a key, bringing up a schedule. "You and your wife are a bit early!" He said, leaning heavily on the desk with his hand. "Lemme see if I can fit you in."
With that, he just ducked under the table once more, letting a few seconds pass by before coming back up again. "Ok, we can!"

Crane opened his mouth to say something, but opted not to. Best to let the man figure it out on his own...besides, it looked better if he said nothing.
He simply gave Cray an incredulous look, lip curling a little bit.
"Very well."
Vincira growled in protest, writhing in the jacket. I AM NOT his wife....
One of the cards that had fallen to the floor promptly picked itself back up again, arcing at Cray's forehead. It was just a card, but still, it was a fast moving card heading in his direction.

Tilting his head rather loosely, his arms just danglingby his side, the card just closely missed Cray's head in a fit of luck. My, these were quite an odd pair if he did say so himself.
Grinning noticably more at that thought he poked his head out of the window, pointing to the door next to the reception area. "Go through there please! I shall get the good Professor in a moment!"

Nodding curtly, Crane grabbed Vincira's shoulders to steer her. Not an easy task with wings beating in his face, mind you. "Come along, Vincira...."
The woman screeched again, the cards stirring in a final flurry before settling down. All at once, however, she relaxed, staggering through the mentioned door.

The back room was considerably smaller then expected, especially when compared to the size of the waiting area. This could of been because of the room that was off to the left side of the room.
The place was rather odd looking for a maternity clinic. A chair in the middle of the room rather like one you would find at a dentist's, but altered to suit the purpose of examination in pregnant women, or those who wanted to conceive. Beside it, a table with instruments on it one would not think to find in any clinic or hospital. Though odd they didn't look scary.
There were alot of shelves too, packed with different jars with clear liquids in different colours, most of them just clear. Others more clearer then others. The labels were not in english however, but some odd looking pictures or symbols were on them.
The desk in the room had a computer of course, but was considerably untidy. Papers and files spread all across it. Defiantly not one would of expected with how clean the waiting room was.
Once they had stepped into the room, the door in the reception room burst open, a grinning Cray circling out of it on a stool with wheels. Once at his desk he just stood up, still grinning. "Hullo, I'm Professor Cray Zee. What can I do you folks for?"
The tone of voice was this time a more cheery yet friendly feeling to it rather then odd. But his eyes still showed hint of craziness wanting to burst out.

Jonathan Crane knew crazy, and he could tell that the man's name was apt. Still, this was the only discreet way they could go about this...he would have to do.
"...I am Doctor Jonathan Crane, and this is Vincira. She is here for a confirmation of her pregnancy." He gestured to Vincira with a spidery hand, keeping his eyes trained on Cray.
Vincira still wasn't looking happy about the situation - and the setting wasn't helping her much. It wasn't that hospitals made her nervous...it was something else. Some of the bottles on the shelves rattled menacingly.

"Doctor?" For a serious moment, Cray's lips pursed as he took ahold of his glasses and adjusted them slightly. Raisng an eyebrow as he did so. "If you are a Doctor shouldn't you know if she is or not? Unless you scared about looking.. Ya know.."
He lost his seriousness by the end of the sentence, looking as though he was going to burt into a fit of giggles.
But the smile was quickly wiped off as he heard the jars and such begin to rattle, turning his head to examine them to see what was doing that. He just stared at them as if going off into a day dream, mouth appart slightly.

The man's jaw tightened.
"...I'm a psychiatrist, Doctor Zee. Now, if you don't MIND...." He paused, eyes flicking about the room behind his glasses.
"...Is the room secure enough for me to remove her restraints?"
The jars rattled more violently, one of them going so far as to lift off the shelf and poise itself high over Cray's head. It wobbled as if it might fall at any moment...and Vincira was glaring at the man.
"Vincira...don't...." Crane's voice was low and tactful.

"Psychiatrist, eh?" Cray napped out of it, a rather hesitant smile on his face now as he side stepped slowly over to the far corner.
Whoo! He wasn't so comfortable around those doctors. They'd say he was mad or something. Like Julia did! But she couldn't do nothing, no one could! Mwahaha. With that thought the grin reappeared on his face.
Reaching a hand out, he kept his eyes on the floating jar as there was a sudden click, as though a button had been pressed.
A wave of green passed around the room quickly, blink and you missed it. But the jars stopped immediately in their convulsions, and Cray had managed to side step the jar quick enough, only getting a bit of the red goop on his shoe.
He just gave a sigh as though thinking of something wonderful, returning to the spot and moving his hand across more to press another button. The same happening again but with a blue colour this time.
"Should be ok now!"
Power restraint and security. How he loved alien technology.

Jonathan started, pursing his lips and staring. Well, now, that was definitely unusual. Why would a maternity clinic have more advanced security than an Asylum?
Then again...funding for Arkham was often...lax.
"...Interesting."
Quietly, he stepped over the mess to remove Vincira's bonds.
The woman had gone wide eyed as her powers had been repressed - her pendant now flickering wildly. As the muzzle was removed, she spoke in a shaky, hoarse voice. Madness.
"...What did...you just do to me...?" She sounded awful - and with a clear look at her face, she looked awful, too. Once the straightjacket was removed, this was reinforced - her body was frail beneath the Arkham Asylum jumpsuit. Her tail drooped, the end sweeping the floor.
"...Vincira, shhh...." Jonathan rested a hand on her shoulder to try and calm her - and was only shooed away when she tried to bite him.
"Don't touch me." The tone was different, just briefly, and her pendant was red...but then it was white again, and her demeanor was frightened once more.
Oh, boy.

"We get all sorts with mood swings you wouldn't believe!" Cray practically giggled. "Demons, Angels, etc! Really if I didn't have all this I'd get eaten alive!"
He laughed, seeming rather pleased at the idea he could be torn to shred by pissed off demons.
He seemed very calm for someone in the presence of a rather mad woman, but he didn't really care. Or did he even notice at all?
"Would you like to sit down? I would like to ask a few questions if that is ok before I start any tests and such." He said happily, waltsing over to his stool and sitting down.
One hand he got out the appropiate forms without even looking, the other moving the mouse around the screen of the computer. Quickly accessing files that might tell him a litte about the woman.
"If she's uncomfortable I can change the enviroment look?" He asked rather absent mindly. Hey some mother's got edgey at the doctors! And it was a fun for him to play with!
