The month had been quite long for Amber. She'd mainly stuck around people she knew, and entirely avoided the rest. As the Xammar pack knew by now, though, AmberLynn was quite the opposite of an extrovert. She was shy, unfamiliar with making friends, and overall scared to get close to people. Okay, so not totally scared, but she was terrified that people would hurt her, and for good reason. Now, that never meant she wouldn't be friends with others if they got to know her and she got to know them, of course. Take Gretchen, for example. The human had managed to scratch open that shell Amber had, and get into the inside a little bit. Of course, Amber was a bit reluctant to let her in, but in the end the two started to become friends. And now, with the problems with the pack, she hadn't even heard from her human friend. Amber was worried to hell and back, but part of her knew that Gretchen was safe due to the fact that she was not a shifter, but instead just a regular townsfolk human. At least, that's what Amber was hoping. Gretchen was, indeed, human, but Amber had no idea whether or not the girl was really safe. But it was better that she was in town, rather than with Amber in the packs...

This morning started off just like the others for the past month. AmberLynn woke up in the same room as Neena, though now it was not so awkward. Having to room with the owl shifter seemed a bit odd for her at first, as she had not roomed with anyone in quite some time; plus, she was unfamiliar with Neena at all since she was new to the pack. Yet, having to room with her made it a bit more bearable to be around her, as the two had shared plenty of conversation about random things from the past, as well as their feelings toward what was happening right now. There was only one bed, so that meant they both had to share; and Amber was able to keep her body toward one side and try not to invade the space of the poor owl girl. It worked out in the end. Worked out quite well.

Clashing outside the house had caused an abrupt awakening from the fennec fox shifter. She sat straight up, bright eyes wide and staring forward, as if the wall across the room was going to give her the answers she sought.
"N-N-Neena? Wh-what was that? Is it storming?" she asked, though her voice was hushed still. She partially didn't want to wake the owl shifter up, though Amber really hated storms. Another clash of thunder had caused her to jump, and she shook her head some. "Calm down, Amber... it's just a storm. No reason to panic." It wasn't that she was necessarily scared of them, really, it was just that they were loud and noisy; and Amber particularly didn't want to deal with them first thing when she woke up. But now, here she was. Sighing some, the fennec shifter closed her eyes before managing to get herself out of bed. She would go to the bathroom, then come back and get dressed... maybe even put some music on with her headphones in while she waited for Neena to wake up. Because, let's face it, she felt much more secure around the owl shifter, now that they had been rooming together for the past month.

Placing her feet upon the cold wooden floor, the change in temperature there had caused her body to shiver. Quickly, she retracted them back onto the bed, seeming to become a bit hesitant to whether or not she really had to pee that bad. But of course, she did. Out of all the times, it had to be right now. So, with one last effort of bravery into the winter-feeling floor, AmberLynn placed her feet upon it once more and forced herself to stand. ... Okay, so it wasn't that bad this time. Whew. From there, she quickly left the room in order to find where the bathroom was hidden. Because, let's face it, every day was like a goddamn maze to Amber when she moved around an unfamiliar place. And a month was surely not enough time for her to become familiar with everything in the area just yet.

It seemed to take a bit of time before she was able to actually find the bathroom, though, even if she had been there numerous times throughout the month. Somehow, things seemed to change each time. Something was in the way, or she managed to take a wrong turn, or something along those lines. It sucked. But what mattered this time was that she was able to make it there with no problem. Good, good. And her business was done quickly. So, with a quick wash of her hands, she set off to head back to the bedroom... where ever it was at. Awe, hell.

The sound of Keeli's voice hit her ears, as she was calling for the little feline girl who lived with the Grieco cats. Amber blinked a few times, her head moving back and forth some as if she were glancing around at what was on either side of her. It was useless for her vision, but it allowed her to take note of where the voice was coming from entirely. And, from there, she began to head into that way. Yet, a common problem occurred in the attempt to find Keeli. Just as she was rounding a corner... well, AmberLynn bumped into someone yet again. Running into people was more common for her than one would think. And just as she collided with Jessica, she gasped.
"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry!" she said, though her voice remained a bit hushed for fear of waking everyone up. Her eyes grew wide, and they darted back and forth as if trying to scan the blurry face of the one she had run into. Though, Amber had absolutely no idea who it was. "Are... are you okay?" she asked, furrowing her brow lightly and with concern.
