We all have a Facebook or know someone that does.
I found this pic and thought that I would do a repost and see what everyone says about it.

Most of those references are cultural ones and some of them God was against. People forget that the Bible isn't just a religious book but a historical one as well. In John it says that a when Christ was arrested someone grabbed John's robe so he left it behind. Just because John went streaking down the street out of fear doesn't mean we should.

I have more to add and verses as well but I must go to a baby shower.

I noticed that with some of these pictures...
I know a few people that do make them, all they do is a quick Google search of proof that God is against said topic, or God allows said topic.
They get scripture all confused and don't read into it to see what it really means.
It makes me pretty upset because they make other people stray away.

I think the point is that the "traditional family" as people tend to think of it is more of a recent invention than a "traditional" concept, so using it as a reason why particular people should or shouldn't get married is silly. Of course there are cultural elements to verses like these, but that's precisely the point; if culture differs from that of the bible, there's no reason for it to remain stagnant, is there? particularly if the only result is to discriminate or prevent happiness.
