On the third floor of the Shoumetsu Family Mansion, there is a ballroom. You will typically see Kotone in this room, and she will typically be doing theater.

Sahashi Shoumetsu "I promise that when my time to rule comes,"
As Sahashi entered the Ballroom, her heart leapt into her throat. She was going to sing and dance, but now she was getting nervous about it. It wasn't like there was anyone there to see or hear, but she hadn't sang since her father died, because she felt it wouldn't be fair, since he loved to sing and dance with Sae, Sahashi's mother. 'I can do this.' Sahashi thought to herself. She slowly walked to the center of the room and thought of a song. She took a deep breath and began to sing. She slowly began to dance as well, imagining a male partner to dance with. As she continued to dance, she felt better and better. She almost thought she was dancing with somebody. Somebody she loved with all her heart. This was a very rare sight to see, as she almost never sang or danced.

Kotone Shoumetsu "I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." It was time for Kotone to shine! Her tutoring was over and her mother didn't need her for anything, so it was the perfect time for her to practice this new Operatic piece she found. However, a slow haunting melody drifted from the Ballroom. Miffed that her claimed area was taken over, Kotone hid behind a pillar to see who it was. It was her eldest sister that was singing and dancing round the room. This irked Kotone, as she was often scolded for spending too much time in the ballroom practicing theater, yet her sister can do so without repercussion? What a hypocrite. With a huff, she walked out from her hiding spot and waited for her sister to finish her song, before the Prima Donna started her own piece.
"Cara bel, cara mia bella! Mia bambina, oh ciel! Ché ella stima! Ché ella stima! O cara mia, addio! La mia bambina cara... perché non passi lontana? Sì, lontana da Scienza! Cara, cara mia bambina... Ah, mia bella! Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia bambina! Oh cara, cara mia..."

♬ Yue Shoumetsu ♪ Yue was walking around the house lazily and heard some sounds in the ballroom, the place she hated with all her heart and soul because of how loud and annoying people can be inside with their dresses and fancy talk. She walked in, after her curiosity pushing her to do so and found her older sister dance as well as her younger sister play a piece as she laughed as loudly as she could, being surprised and not hiding or holding back anything since she wasn't the type to do so as she pointed at them saying, "I never thought----" only to be cut off by more and more laughter as she filled the room with echoes of her voice. Yue was never the type to ever care about anything and whenever she saw something strange, she would always either laugh or get away from it. These were one of those times where she would laugh, knowing that her older sister would either be angry or flustered after seeing her do so as well as her younger one surely become angry. She was bored after walking around the house with nothing to do but mess around with people. ┄ ┅ ♬ ┄ ┅

Sae Shoumetsu "Kasai was a great man and "
Sae walked into the Ballroom after hearing her eldest daughter in there. She saw Sahashi and walked straight to her. She saw the look of guilt on her eldest's face as she walked to her. Sahashi looked so guilty, it made Sae even more angry. Hearing her younger daughter, she got even more angry, then she heard her youngest doing her own piece, but that didn't matter. She continued walking till she reached her eldest. "You do know what time it is don't you!? It's time for your lesson!! How dare you come here and waste your time with singing and dancing!!" she yelled angrily.
" I loved him with all my heart."

Sahashi Shoumetsu "I promise that when my time to rule comes,"
Sahashi finished her song and her dream ended as she saw Kotone, but her smile was still on her face as she heard Kotone singing. She then heard laughter and saw Yue. Her face turned back to looking expressionless as usual, whereas just a few moments ago, while singing and daydreaming, she was actually smiling. She then took on a guilty look when she saw her mother coming toward her. She had forgotten all about her classes while daydreaming. She looked down and heard her mother scold her. "I apologize mother, I was lost in the music. Dad liked to do that right? Sing the day away . . . I only wish I could have sang with him . . ." she said sadly, but with an expressionless face. She thought of all the times she wanted to do something with her dad, but had to do some kind of class instead, or all the times she got scolded for doing even the smallest things not having to do with running a city. All the times she got slapped for trying to sneak to her dad. She loved her mother, but she spent so much of her time being scolded for all the things her sisters and brother could do. It could get so irritating.

Kotone Shoumetsu "I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." At the sound of laughter, Kotone stopped her singing and abruptly turned around to see her older sister laughing at them. Angry, but unsure of what to say to her, Kotone clutched the hem of her sleeves. Just leave it to Yue to find something funny about Opera. The one solace she had in this family, and it was constantly looked down upon by her. A gleam of silver announced the arrival of their mother, causing the youngest to shrink into herself more. If there was one thing to be said, it was that Kotone was never comfortable around the rest of her family--not since her father died. Her mother came to get Sahashi for another lesson, and the woman practically looked down upon fun. It was at times like this where Kotone felt sorry for her sister, before Sahashi turned into a right frigid witch when addressing her. With how fallen apart they all were, Kotone didn't know how to even communicate with them. She took up a silent I shall speak when spoken to stance and began to sing a hymn she came upon somewhere.
"Os iusti meditabitur sapientiam, Et lingua eius loquetur indicium.
Beatus vir qui suffert tentationem, Quoniqm c** probates fuerit accipient coronam vitae.
Kyrie, fons bonitatis. Kyrie, ignis divine, eleison.
O quam sancta, quam serena, Quam benigma, quam amoena esse Virgo creditur. O quam sancta, quam serena, Quam benigma, quam amoena, O castitatis lilium.

♬ Yue Shoumetsu ♪ Yue kept laughing and then quieted down to chuckling when her mother or what she calls, " The Queen of Devils " appear with her gleaming silver glory. She had to hide even more laughter after looking at her yell at her elder sister. It wasn't because she enjoyed seeing her get scolded, but it was because of the sight of her mother, different after their father had died as Yue leaned against the wall to watch it all go down. She became annoyed at how the echoes made her mother's voice even louder and how the youngest was just starting to sing another one of those songs. What surprised her though, was how Sasashi brought up dad as an excuse to try and get out of trouble when all of them knew it would only make the " Queen of Devils " scold you more. She wondered if she should get in and try to save her older sister and . . maaayyybbeee. . get a favor out of her or just stand there and watch as the future Queen gets dragged off somewhere where there are more books than people in the city. Yue then decided to just wait it out and then see what happens. ┄ ┅ ♬ ┄ ┅

Sae Shoumetsu "Rai was a great man and "
Sae's frown grew wider as she heard Sahashi's comment. "How dare you try to use your father as an excuse!!" she yelled, then shot a look to Kotone that told her to be quiet. She looked at Sahashi again, still angered. She was not happy that Sahashi had brought up her father. 'First she misses an important class, then she brings up Rai . . . what is she thinking!?' Sae thought to herself.

Sahashi Shoumetsu "I promise that when my time to rule comes,"
Sahashi prepared for the blow that would come soon, the slap on the face, the hit on the head, something, as she always did when her mother was angry. Sahashi's face was still utterly expressionless, as usual, she was hiding her emotions behind a mask. She never showed how she truly felt, always hiding it, the only time she ever had an expression was when it was anger towards Kotone or Yue, or a slight smirk when she was teasing someone, but those were the only emotions she let herself show, not happiness, not sorrow, not embarrassment, not fear, just blank eyes and a frown. She must take after her mother . . . Sahashi hated that fact. Sahashi continued to wait for the blow.

Kotone Shoumetsu "I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." When Sae ordered her to quiet, Kotone flinched and quickly shut her mouth. She hated it when her mother was in a tiff, even more so when she did an episode in the Ballroom, since it felt like it was a slap to the face on what Kotone and her father loved. The youngest Shoumetsu kept a perfectly meek look as she bowed her head and excused herself from the room. It's been like this for eight years now, in regard to how Kotone communicated with her family, and she was a bit sad no one bothered to notice.
Not wanting to be in the tense room any longer, Kotone briskly walked out of the Ballroom. she hoped to find either Tetsu or Miyo and sort out some things. Sure, Tetsu never gave any good advise, but he always cheered her up, and Miyo might have some idea of what to do.
