He originally planned on owning a shop when he grew older, but saw how proud his father was of Alanna and felt forgotten. He joined the army to be noticed and boy did it work. Grant's father constantly trained him. Grant figured he could get out of it once he was older, but at age fifteen his father died. Grant saw how broken his mother and sister were and he knew he couldn't leave the army. That was the last piece of his father that he had left. He can be rather nasty and mean, but deep down he has a good heart and if anyone knew his past they'd know why he is the way he is. ▶ History :: Derek didn't always used to be blind. He didn't lose his sight till he was seven. Before then, well Derek's life was far from perfect. His parents constantly fought and not to mention is older brother bullied the crap out of Derek. It was actually Greg's fault Derek lost his vision. Derek only saw happiness with his mother and sister. They were both wonderful people. Lucy was only four when she passed. It was a very cold night and somehow the house caught fire. Of course Greg wasn't home. Derek barely got out, but lost his sight from sparks that flew into his eyes. He could only watch his family burn to a crisp before anyone came to help. Greg of course wasn't affected by the loss of his family, but Derek was. Derek tried to adapt to being blind, but he never could. A few years later after so much torment from his brother Derek left in the dead winter. He nearly died if it weren't for this little fox who saved him. She became his faithful companion and he named her Henrietta. Finally he was able to get around better with Henrietta. Though his life was far from perfect, Derek felt a little piece of his heart return since he found the fox.

▶ Personality :: Greg is well what girls to believe the typical guy. He perverted, a jerk, and only cares about himself... and sex. He's constantly partying at night, meaning he sleeps all day or ends up with a hangover. He's pretty lazy when he's not doing anything. He's very manipulative and gets everyone to do his dirty work.
