Today was a nice day. The sun was out and the breeze was calm. Evan had a book in hand and was already getting lost in the pages. There was this nagging feeling that someone wanted him. He shooed the thought aside and continued to read. Then that nagging thought again. Then it became more of a shout as one of his classmates ran up to him calling his name.

"Huh?" It took him a second to focus on the person who had called his name. He recognized him from one of his classes... Darren something, right? "Oh, you want something?" He closed his book and stood as the boy reached him. "Sorry I was just, uh, reading." He waved the book in the air before tucking it in his bag.

The blond boy looked over to the trees his classmate had mentioned. He hadn't climbed a tree in what seemed like forever. "Uh..." His eyes looked over his possible path, the possible ways he could fall out of the trees. Why not? "Sure thing!" He smirked, taking off his uniform jacket. "But just to let you know, I'm gonna win!"

"What!" Evan might have been slightly offended by that. "I'm not a bookworm! And I definitely will win!" He glanced back at the boy now riding towards him on his skateboard. Well, wasn't that cheating? Evan knew how he needed to play now. But when Darren managed ti mess up a trick, it took his best not to laugh. "Sure you meant to do that." He shook his head, "It looks like that hurts!"


Evan edged up to the tree, his blond hair blowing in the wind. Now was his chance. "SetGO!" He said it in a blur and was already making his way up the tree.
