Personality: Mariana is the brave blind Duchess who ran away from the clutches of royalty to start a new life as a normal girl, not wanting to be pampered and cared for all the time as people called her weak for her condition. She is very smart and cunning, not letting anyone get in her way, but she is strong, kind, as well as Laid-back, putting up with a lot of things because of her Royal back-story, having to put up with a lot of things before. Mariana doesn't like to be called by her full name and usually tells you that her name is Maria or Mary, not wanting to bear the first name of her dead mother, who she blames is her fault that she was like this. Mariana is independent and speaks her mind when she must, using strong and very smart words in her speech and loves books even though she's blind and can't see them, she likes to be read their content. Even though she ran away from royalty, she doesn't regret living that way and always knows who she is and isn't afraid it hide it. Mariana doesn't like to run away from problems and faces them head on, actually enjoying tough situations knowing that she'll learn from them and move on. Even though she is blind, she makes it look like she isn't since she has trained her other senses: hearing and feeling to be able to make up for her eyes, meaning that she can hear every word that you say and feel everything that you do, which is the reason why she always has her hand touching something so that she could feel. Mariana has a very tough outer wall and shows that wall to almost everyone, but if you get to know her better, she will let you see her inner part, which is kind and full of love and some sprinkled over-protection.
