EWA Promotions presents: Cross Championship Alliance "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park begins to play and an older gentleman in a tailored suit walks on to the stage and makes his way down to the ring. "Hello everyone! I am Trevor Black and I am the hoping to be the future owner of Cross Championship Alliance. I will make this simple if there are any fighters out there that want to come brawl then sign up with me and I will make you a star."(I am trying to drum up some buzz so I can open CCA in the EWA Guild. If you want to like to join please post here. I will even be paying people in gold for joining up and for fighting. There will a post that talks more about how the payment system works if I can get this up and running.)

This sounds like an inetresting project. However, did y think of certain details, like how you will put together the weight class system, the rounds and the judging?
I don't mean to put any doubts in the project, I've always been the guy to question everything to find the flaws that should be fixed.

I will be using the Pride Judging rules, weight class at the beginning would just be two weights (most likely 155/170), and for rounds I was thinking two pages equal round.

The problem with this idea is that someone could get a single strike in and then no-sell the entire rest of the match, and by official judging should actually win the match.
Therefore, it wouldn't work.

It would be stat based and there would be a dice system.
And for your example if an opponent landed one punch and then did nothing the rest of the fight, he could still lose depending on what you did the rest of the match.

So then you may as well go and play the UFC game?
Because this is roleplaying, and if we were to decide on dice rolls then it would be pretty boring after a while. Someone could potentially hit like .. three 20/20s in a row, knock out their opponent, and that would be it. So many flaws.

The dice system would work perfectly then! This is MMA after all and like in real life, random s**t happens. Like Flash KO's which you may get depending on the luck of the rolls.
