The Soul Society and the World of the Living are parallel worlds. The Senkaimon is the gate used to travel between the two worlds. The Senkaimon is in fact the only official and safe way to enter and leave Soul Society. The Soul Society has only one permanent Senkaimon, it takes the form of a giant gate situated within a large courtyard atop a large tower. Travel through the Senkaimon is heavily regulated and can officially only be opened by the members of the Kidō Corps. Upon opening the gate doors there is nothing but white light the emanates from the door, this light extends upward into the sky of the Soul Society.
A black winged insect, the Jigokuchō that only Shinigami are permitted to carry, is needed to pass through it.
While the Senkaimon is run by the Kidō Corps, some high ranking Noble Families have been shown to have private Senkaimon.

As Jermaine walked out of the Senkaimon, he took a deep breathe, inhaling and exhaling the air. He was glad to be back in the Soul Society where the air was full of reishi and his spirit energy returned back to normal. After he was done getting use to everything again, he turned to the Senkaimon and awaited Airisa.

After opening the Senkaimon, Khairan would walk into the gate and exits from the Senkaimon in Sereitei. Khairan was pretty sure that Yuki will follow him, so he left her be. Right after the moment Khairan steps, a disturbing aura came from the back of him. It was coming from a far distance. Khairan narrowed his eyes, wondering what's happening now. He turns and take a look. Nothing unusual, only... Souls running away? Explosion!? Khairan watched, but did not make his move as he needs to confirm what's the situation. Same time, he was waiting for Yuki before he does anything. Khairan is not the hot-headed kind, he sees everything throughly before he makes his move.

Walking up to Khairan, Yuki seen that Khairan was looking at something hat troubled him. Looking that his direction where his eyes met, Yuki finally seen what he was looking at. Her eyes slightly widen with interest. Slowly looking at Khairan she asked in a soft voice,"Should we...find the Head Commander first? To report then go to that area?" Yuki asked Khairan.✹[O.c.c. I wonder what...] ...I am afraid that my time will be up before I find my place on this place ⊀ ❖

Khairan was watching the explosion, and right after that another followed down at... District 1!? That's the Noble District. Khairan watched, not understanding what is happening. Just before the explosion gone off, Yuki finally stepped into the Soul Society. Yuki raised a question about confronting either the situation or Captain-Commander, Khairan thought for a moment. But it's best to ask the Captain-Commander, since Khairan has yet to see an appearance that takes his interest. He turns to Yuki, and replied. "One after another...", Khairan started, then decided to reply. "Captain-Commander, quick.", Khairan answered and turns to the main building. "Ya know, having a partner like you doesn't seem so bad...", Khairan commented, knowing that it's not all that bad to have someone accompanying you. He lets out a faint smile, and left for the Captain-Commander.

She was never told something like that for so so so long. A small smile appeared over her lips and a light shade of pink appeared over her cheeks, tough she never knew. There wasn't any time to waste so quickly Yuki snapped back and looked away as she followed the Captain. ✹[O.c.c. Exit] ...I am afraid that my time will be up before I find my place on this place ⊀ ❖
