I'm going to organize this by genre I guess, sorry if I accidentally put something in the wrong genre. I'm not going to go as far as splitting rock into metal, alternative, punk etc I'm just going to stuff it all into rock. Do not recommend any dubstep to me. I hate dubstep or anything close to it.
I am not finished with this list yet. If I've missed something let me know! Use Ctrl+F to see if I already have an artist on this list.
Pop Artists
Adele (Technically pop, I guess? No idea.) Coldplay (I dunno, it kind of varies between songs but I consider them pop especially with their latest album..) Beyonce (Epic. Just epic.) Lady Gaga (HA!) Maroon 5 (Kind of like a mix, but I count them as pop. Don't know what exact genre it is) Katy Perry (Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very seldom) Kerli (She is pop, just not well known I guess?) Enrique Iglesias (He might be pop, I dunno. Don't listen to this dude much) The Veronicas (Very seldom, but they seem to have disappeared off the face of the planet.) Rihanna (Mainly her older stuff. Not very often) Elton John (I don't care what you say, he is AWESOME! iTunes said he is a pop artist so I'm just going with that.) Lenka Leona Lewis Michael Buble (EPIC!) Natasha Bedingfield Coblie Calliat Jordin Sparks Lilly Allen One Republic Kelly Clarkson (I don't care what people think, she still rocks and I grew up listening to her music.... emo Her later stuff is more country though.) The Killers (They're technically alternative, I think, but eh. They're just effing amazing.) Paramore The Ting Tings Vanessa Carlton (looooove) Christina Aguilera Elliot Yamin Eric Hutchinson Estelle Delilah (She's like the prettier, more talented Rihanna) P!nk (Yes, just yes) Boys Like Girls (Poppy boy band, sorry)
Hip Hop? This list will be very, very short and the ones listed might only have 1 or two songs I like
Nicki Minaj (I only like Super Bass. Nothing else.) Akon (Mostly his early 2000's stuff, but once again, very seldom.) Ne-yo (He actually has a respectable voice!) T-Pain (I don't listen to him much but guilty pleasure I guess?)
Rock Artists/Bands (I may be missing some people under this section.)
Kings of Leon (Don't ask why I wrote them first?) Breaking Benjamin (DUUUHHHH talk2hand ) The Calling Creed (Seldom.) Muse Blink 182 (Duh.) The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Santana ( heart ) Three Days Grace / 3 Days Grace Tool Stone Sour Sum 41 SR-71 3 Doors Down Weezer Carolina Liar Five For Fighting The Script Lifehouse The Offspring Marilyn Manson (This is a given, if you've known me long enough.) Nickelback (I don't like this band as much as I used to) Nirvana (Some of their songs sound like total horseshit but some are okay) Skillet (Seldom.) Linkin Park (Eh..) Finger Eleven All American Rejects (Lol....) Green Day Dropkick Murphys Seether Hinder Hoobastank (Lol, funny name) Switchfoot Fall Out Boy Panic! At the Disco (How could I forget these dudes?) Evanescence (Not as much as I used to) Bullet for My Valentine (This should also be a given.) Trapt (Name a song by them besides Headstrong and you win a cookie!) Apocalyptica Alice Cooper The Goo Goo Dolls Flyleaf Aerosmith Between The Trees Carolina Liar Daughtry
Soundtracks and Parodies
Final Fantasy stuff. Homestuck stuff (I'm a Member of the Midnight Crew.... ninja ) Fan-made Homestuck songs (Why the ******** not?) Weird Al (Duh!) Assorted movie soundtracks. Klaus Badelt Stephen Sondheim Random stuff from Dance Dance Revolution.
Techno-y Pop Stuff
Pogo Toybox Aqua Daft Punk (I need more songs from them ._.) The Foozogz (Technically all they do is mix My Little Pony stuff together but it sounds awesome) Vengaboys
IDK Pile Meaning I have no idea what technical genre they are, they sound like one thing but could be another.
Rob Thomas (EPIIIIICCC <3 <3 <3 <3 <3) Gavin Rossdale (Also epic) Matt Kearney Kris Allen Snow Patrol (Pop? Alternative? I don't know!) The Fray (Soft rock ish?)
Under Investigation Artists that have been recommended to me or ones that I know of and am trying out.
Avenged Sevenfold (I've heard of these dudes a lot but I've never listened to many of their songs. Weird, right?) Yellowcard (I only know a few of their songs but I NEED MOAR!) Taylor Swift (Obviousness.) White Chapel (Sorry, just no....) Black Veil Brides (Sorry.) Asking Alexandria (Even though my name is Aleksandria, sorry just no!) One Direction
Hate to disappoint you that I don't like pop music AT ALL. But you could look up some Classics. lulz.

Heh, I'm not here to debate the taste of my music. I will look up some classic stuff, if you could point me in the direction of some musicians you like, I will give them a try.
I need to fill up my iPhone with some new stuff. Seriously. I only have 404 songs and I only listen to a quarter of them..
There's Steam Powered Giraffe (It's best to watch them), Lady Antebellum, Mumford and Sons, Deadmau5, Foster the People, The Glitch Mob, LittleKuriboh (if you like Lady Gaga parodies look him up), One Republic, and DJ MTP (MLP and PewDiePie stuff)

*looks at your list* Hm, Flyleaf should be under rock. 3nodding As well as Daughtry. I think he's more of a soft rock, but still rock. And you like BFMV? I... never knew that. I... I think I love you more now. emotion_kirakira Oh and Stand Up, Contagious, Still Frame, Who's Going Home with You Tonight, and These Walls are just a few Trapt songs that popped into my head. Where's my cookie? emotion_donotwant
Mmkay, well lately I've been listening to The Birthday Massacre. They're synthrock, I think is the genre. Anyway, I think they're pretty f*cking amazing. I've also been listening to a lot of LIGHTS. She's pop, I would assume. But uh, yeah, I like her a lot.
So yeah, The Birthday Massacre and LIGHTS, I recommend. 3nodding
