Name: Loki Nakamura
Race:
Shinigami
Squad:
11, Primary Attack Force/Cavalry Branch
High Concept Aspect: "You want me to help? Sure~!"
Loki is usually a very helpful person. He's naturally sweet and kind, because of his human background, though he may be a little awkward after all that he's been through. He's carefree and easy going, despite everything going on around him, and many would describe him as a breath of fresh air. He is dependable and he is willing to do whatever he can to help out with anything he can help out with.
Trouble Aspect: "...but...maybe...yeah...I don't think I can."
Though he wants to help out and not be a burden to anyone, Loki sometimes falters at the last minute and backs away from the edge of a hard decision or something that needs decisive planning. He always second-guessing himself, unsure of himself, never believing that he is able to do anything about big decisions. It is this trait that causes him to sometimes be too merciful, sheathing his sword instead of delivering the final blow to a deadly enemy.
Appearance:

Loki's most prominent feature is most likely his brightly colored hair and eyes; both a shade of rose-pink, though his natural hair color is a light mousy brown. He stands at 6'1", with a lean, slightly willowy build that makes him appear a little more delicate than he really is. On the right side of his neck is a Rosario cross-shaped tattoo, and he has a sakura flower tattoo on the far right side of his face, hidden beneath his bangs. Since he's usually always wearing long-sleeved clothing, he also hides a fleur-de-lis tattoo on his upper left arm. Loki's body is also littered with scars of previous violent engagements with Hollows/Quincies/NeoQuincies/Arrancars/etc.
Personality:
Loki is slightly eccentric, and very carefree most of the time. He doesn't take most things seriously and would rather shirk from his duties as a Shinigami. A little rebellious, Loki doesn't know why but he dislikes the idea of conforming to anything, even though he knows when to be respectful. A darker part of him enjoys the idea of spilling blood, and this is the part of himself that he's so afraid of. He fears becoming insane, because of the effects of his own zanpakuto, which is really just his subconscious with a physical form. Loyal to a fault, Loki is actually a nice guy when he wants to be. He's just afraid of showing his true self and appearing weak in front of all the people who have put their trust in him. Loki is afraid of himself, and is a bit indecisive when it comes to really big decisions. He's also sometimes a bit too merciful, and would choose to sheath his sword instead of delivering the final blow most of the time. He always chooses one extreme or the other, and usually doesn't know how to be moderate.

Your Stories
Background: Where Did You Come From?
Loki was born human, to a prostitute mother who had no idea who his father was. Even so, unlike many woman who would, she didn't throw him away to let him rot in the sewer until he choked to death without even learning about the cruel world he had been born into. No, she kept him, and did her best to raise him and feed him even though her line of work wasn't of the most respectable kind. As he grew up, Loki learned about this, and instead of shunning her, he grew to love his mother very much for taking care of him even though she could just as easily have thrown him away. Growing up on the streets, Loki learned how to fend for himself, to pickpocket and steal, and then run away as fast as his legs could carry him, to help his mother financially. His mother was able to send him off to school to get a proper education. But then, when he was eighteen, at his graduation ceremony, men stormed into their house to kill his mother. When he returned and found his mother murdered, he hunted down her murderers. Without asking why they killed her, he ripped them to shreds until he was shot down himself. His soul wandered the earth, pure rage burning brilliantly in his chest; he refused to move on until he had gotten revenge for the only family he had.
Aspect: "Whoever said 'Revenge is best served cold' has never felt truly vengeful."
Rising Conflict: What Shaped You?
A Shinigami came to save him from his hate, to keep him from turning into a Hollow, and in the process Loki found out that the person who killed his mother had been his father, who had found out about Loki. This was the first and last time Loki had been a hair's width away from being completely consumed in his hatred and actually becoming a Hollow. His father was killed by a passing Hollow, and the Shinigami saved Loki's soul by putting it to rest, sapping his anger away. Loki, not wanting to repeat the event, chose to become a Shinigami and joined the Academy. He failed many times, due to his unsteady state of mind, twisted with anger and vengeance; until he was taught that sometimes, gentleness, not charging on head first, was the key to victory. He then trained himself to be more flexible, and finally managed to pass and join the 11th division.
Still, his struggle between his vengeance and peacefulness would forever be imprinted in his mind, and that was what his zanpakuto would afterwards take the shape of.
Aspect: "Anger and vengeance will accomplish nothing, even if it makes you feel powerful enough to destroy the world."
The Story: What Was Your First Adventure?
Guest Starring: ---
Loki had become a Shinigami long before they had been forced out of Soul Society. He had been sent on the mission with the Kidou Cannon, one of the Shinigami in the very front lines. It was his first real mission, having never been sent back to the human world ever since becoming a Shinigami, and he was eager to prove himself. The mission was a success, and Loki was excited to return to the Seireitei and report back to his captain; but all they found was another war erupting right inside its' walls. Being caught off guard, and also worn out from their previous engagement with a similar enemy on their mission, Loki and the others who had just returned were unable to fight back very much. Loki watched as his friends and the people he had seen as his second family cut down before his very eyes. It was this event that triggered the first signs of his unstable mentality, and in his rage he waded through the enemy, attacking the invaders left and right, almost without discriminating who he was attacking. But instead of being allowed to fight the enemy, he was pulled away from the fight, away from Soul Society; sent hurtling back to earth as the Seireitei was lost to him and every other Shinigami who had survived. Since then he's been afraid to use his zanpakuto, knowing that whatever his ability is, he might very well lose his mind trying to master it.
Aspect: "Different denotes neither bad nor good, but it certainly means 'not the same'."
