"I was thinking sending one of the kids that are always around willing to run and fetch for a coin or two." he said. "And I actually know where that is." he admitted. "I've worked around there a time or two. So tracking you down shouldn't be a problem at all."
He laughed and shook his head. "I am hardly romantic. I can sing a ballad as well as the next bard, well perhaps a little worse if you get one of those court singers with a voice like an angel, but that isn't the point. The point is that most of the sillier romantic notions that those songs are about I don't necessarily believe in. Oh, I can make you believe that I believe in them, but that's part of the job. You want to believe in love at first sight and love conquering all so that's what you get."
He chuckled, "I assure you that it isn't my intention to spoil you of your virtue. Unless you wanted to be." he said teasingly. He startled just slightly when she placed a hand on his leg. Innocently meant or not, it was a very bold move on her part. He vaguely recalled her being sort of clingy as a child and then dismissed the move all together. She just wanted contact, even if it did look inappropriate to anyone else.
He snorted. "No, I do not want to talk about my midnight tumbles in my ramshackle of a bed." he said. "As for where I live, that's a few streets down. A single room above a cook shop. Not much, but it's mine, as long as the rent gets paid." he chuckled.

She had gotten comfortable, and listened to his ramblings without interrupting. Instead she sat still, made eye contact and took in his words with genuine fascination. They left her with a large smile painted across her rose coloured lips. She closed her eyes and looked to the side briefly.
"In that case, I am glad that I am not the only one."
Ygrette was a woman who had never received unconditional love, she never knew her parents and her love life was lacking to say the least. Her inexperience clouded her view on the matter and left her rather bitter towards the subject in general. The fact that someone else shared her opinions felt rather comforting, she was not alone. She took another sip of her wine, grey eyes looking over at the crackling fire that burned away next to them.
Even though outside was as cold and volatile as ever, in here they had their own little warm patch. Goosebumps prickled at her freckled skin and she suddenly realized she was having the most fun she had experienced in recent memory. His company was both witty and entertaining, two qualities she admired. Though she knew this would have to end soon, she needed to get back to work sooner rather than later.
She raised an eyebrow at his comment, her eyes darkening as her fingers squeezed his thigh to get his full attention.
"I do not think you would be able to handle me, as you said, I am quite a handful."
She stated with another playful wink, shaking her head as her eyes softened. Her tone was playful but slightly sultry, was she flirting with him?
"A bard who does not want to tell stories? That's a new one."
She added with a small chuckle, finishing her glass and putting it down next to the fireplace.
She smirked, taking her hand away from his leg and placing it on her own. She knew the area that he was describing, and was already planning to stop by. She was sure if she put her mind to it she would be able to find him without much difficulty.
"Well then, I will have to inspect your accommodation."
She added, with a small nod of her head.

He lifted one eyebrow slightly. "I will ignore that and not think it is the challenge that it would sound like from any other woman. As you said, you are a paragon when compared to a cad like me." he smiled at her and suddenly wondered if it seemed he was trying to seduce her. That hadn't been his intention, even if she did stir up some desires in him that had been laying quite for a good long while now. How long had it been...he mentally counted and came up with about six months. Not his longest stretch by any means, but long enough. He absently wondered what it was about her that fanned the flame so to speak, but decided that would probably be best left for later, and in the end not at all. He was at best a good casual partner...very casual...He didn't like getting overly involved.
"I enjoy telling stories, but you would know them all for the bold faced lies that they are. Especially the ones about my younger years. I could tell you I once 'entertained' a serving girl in a nobleman's pantry, but that's really about as exciting as any of my conquests get...and I'm pretty sure I was her conquest not the other way around." he chuckled slightly at the memory even if it was terribly embarrassing.
He finished his drink and eyed the empty glass twisting it watching the flames through it, before looking over at her again. "I assure you it's nothing special, but I suppose you can come and look if you really must." he shifted position and stood up, hands out stretched as the wine rushed to his head and he held himself steady. "No more tonight that's for sure." he said with a face. "And I should probably get back to work." he set the glass on a table and adjusted his clothing retying the strings to his shirt.

"That I am, and to say I outlasted you on the streets by quite a while... I would also say I am quicker, more cunning and generally a better street rat than you will ever aspire to be. Just admit it Trent, you are lucky to have someone as amazing as me as a friend."
She stuck out her tongue playfully as she joked, her competitive nature flaring up. She by no means meant it to be a challenge. Ygrette was a flirt and more so a mischievous young woman who tended to shock, though was for the most part innocent in intention. She was fun to be around, was always up for a little fun, but never took things beyond that. She listened to his story and smiled. Oh Trenton, you naughty creature. She rolled her eyes, a slight flush coming to her already pink cheeks.
"If they are not exciting, put in some fun details, I am sure a man of your profession is good at 'tweaking' the truth. I think you should make the serving girl the nobles daughter, and instead of the pantry... let it take place in the courtyard. Yes, this story is sounding more interesting already!"
She tucked a wayward strand of hair behind her ear, the one eye she had visible cast on him as he stood up and laced up his shirt. The young woman nodded, this was probably for the best. She jumped to her feet, her hands ready to stabilize him, though there was no need. She also felt a light tingle in her fingers, but she was used to a lot more drink than she had gone through today.
"I should probably be getting back too. That old hag has probably worked herself up into a fit because of my absence."
She imagined the hags long nose and toothless mouth, Ygrette hated the woman. It was what you got when two stubborn people were forced to live under each others toes, neither one being able to step down from any confrontation or disagreement they had. The crone was above her station, but at least Ygrette had her youth, a reasonable figure and all her teeth, as she liked reminding her, whenever she got the chance to do so.
At that moment the door flew open. The two people entering almost fell over each other in the doorway but stopped when they realized they were not alone. The girl flushed as Trent laced his shirt, and redirected her gaze. The man was at least twice Trenton's age, he cleared his throat and straightened up. It did not take a genius to realize what they thought the younger pair had been up to, after all they were both getting dressed in some way.
"I apologize, I did not mean to intrude."
Ygrette smirked at the situation, pulling her coat over her shoulders and walking over to her old friend, she rested her bare fingers on his shoulder and looked over at their unexpected guests. Handful, she would show him how much of a handful she was.
"No, it is fine. We were just finishing up in here."
She leaned closer to her friend, the same wicked look coming back into her pale eye. She whispered to him, her voice soft but loud enough for the other people to hear.,
"I'll entertain you anytime."
She smirked, before walking between the maid and her customer to leave the room. Sliding her gloves over her freckled fingers as she exited.

He snorted. "Just because I became house raised doesn't mean I went completely soft." he said trying to defend himself. "And I think in some cases I prefer to keep the details right as they really happened. Especially when nobles are involved. I like Not being in jail." he chuckled in spite of himself.
He watched her get up and turned quickly when the door suddenly opened. His hands were still halfway through tying the knot on his shirt and he flushed slightly. He nodded politely enough to the gentleman, not trusting his voice just at that moment, and he quickly finished and picked up his lute. He turned as Ygrette put he hand on his shoulder and whispered to him. He choked and cleared his throat quickly. "Ah..." he watched her leave, having nothing to say to that and quickly made his own exit getting back to his place in the common room, trying to use music to cover his embarrassment.
That girl was definitely trouble, but it was rather refreshing.
