Reports had come in slowly from the other strike forces...S'kor had been forced to call a retreat, driven off by the mad queen of the very person they had wanted to save, N'mol's group had faced staunch resistance but were steadily making their way to the beach as planned.
D'lin and his group - minus the wounded Eliza - had swung back to drive further adversaries towards the place the queens should be waiting. They used fire where it was safe to do so a, threats and mock charges - backed up by the rising plumes of smoke elsewhere - in other places and slowly..ever so slowly they had managed to send a good group of hostiles fleeing. Winging over the tree tops, Plexith sent the updates on to Cepheith and Sunnath. 'The leading edge of enemies should be reaching you shortly' The bronze told the golds.
'Should I speak of Brakiath?' He asked his rider and D'lin thought about it for a few moments before shaking his head slightly 'No..it will just worry Narisa, there is nothing we can do for the moment - I"ll tell her myself once we join them'

Suunath had been pacing the sands, reacting to Kindra's agitation as much as her own, neither liked being idle while others fought and risked their lives but with Kindra's leg as wounded as it had been and only recently having had a healer stitch the deep wounds, there wasn't much either could do, that and Kindra had taken the 'lecture' from N'mol to heart, she hadn't thought that she could have lost Suunath, it just hadn't occured to her as a possibility until her friend had pointed it out and with Benden lost, N'mol was pretty much the only person she really knew here, she hadn't bothered much to speak to the wingriders, only perhaps the Wingleaders of her Weyr.
"Mine, the Whers are coming" Suunath informed her rider, who was secure on her back, fixed in her saddle with her riding straps, which Kindra had insisted weren't needed but both Sunuath and N'mol had told her it was better to use them as Suunath would be moving a lot when the Whers came and she was safest on the back of the Gold, even if she wasn't as big as Cepheith, she was was a Gold and therefore pretty sharding big, unless a Wher climbed up her, none could get to Kindra, not for the first time though, Kindra wished for a weapon of some sort but she would 'behave' and stay out of the fighting except for being a second pair of eyes for the Gold. "I am ready Plexith, are there many?" she asked eagerly, she'd killed Whers already, one the foolish creature that had hurt Hers, and she was ready to sink tooth and claw into hide again, she would get revenge on the creatures for forcing her from her home and separating her from her Twin.

Her head had started to pound, thanks to one too many hits received to it on top of Cepheith's grumbling for the past half a candlemark or so. Really, Narisa wasn't keeping track of time anymore. It was pointless and only would make her feel more exhausted and increase the already heavy traffic of thoughts flittering through her mind. Not that waiting at the beach was helping that any. Waiting kept making thoughts such as, 'maybe something went wrong!', or 'shardit please don't tell me we lost anyone else..' wave bright glows in her face. The Goldrider groaned, rubbing at her face warily as if the gesture could wipe away her thoughts.
Plexith says they are coming. We should be ready. Cepheith flexed her talons, rising from where she lay along the sands. She'd been watching Suunath pace, letting the younger Gold be agitated enough for the both of them. The Gold would have been pacing right beside Suunath, but Narisahers had insisted she take the chance to rest and relax as much as possible to ease some of the dull aching from her legs. We're ready, Plexith. A low growl emitted from Cepheith as she watched their surroundings in preparation for the filthy beasts coming their way.
Shifting her weight, Narisa sat up straight in her saddle. Even if she'd thought it alright to be on the ground, Cepheith vehemetly refused. For good reason. Every time she'd agreed thusfar, Narisa had found herself in a fight. The Gold was not letting her rider down again. And Narisa had to admit, she was glad of this. And....glad D'lin had sent her here. <Are Kindra and Suunath ready?>
Suunath, are you ready? We're set and shall be right here beside you.

"We are ready Cepheith, we will drive the creatures from your Weyr and restore it to you" she said, her mental voice tinged with just a little sadness that they were not doing the same for Benden, but Trine had so much less hiding places for the creatures within the Weyr itself, where Benden had many many nooks and crannies that only Whers could get to, where they could get to the people and leave the dragons useless against the threats to Theirs. She stopped pacing and turned herself towards where she'd been told the Whers would be coming from, the only problem would be the humans with them.
Kindra nodded to Narisa, "You're stuck up here too?" she asked, smiling with grim humor, already her bandaged leg ached and she was thankful she wasn't bearing any weight on it, just being strapped to the saddle on Suunath was bad enough and she knew Narisa had been knocked about as well, like herself the other Goldrider seemed to dislike inactivity when there was a Weyr to defend. "Just waiting on the boys to drive them here now" she murmured to herself, feeling Suunath tense beneath her.

The Gold dipped her head in acknowledgement, a similar hint of sadness tinting her own tone. Thank you for all your help. We will do our best to assist you and restore your Weyr. Cepheith rumbled, not having a doubt in her mind that it could be done. Her rider wasn't so sure, but Cepheith would never the less provide whatever support and assistance to her fellow Gold that she could. Lips peeling back, the Gold hissed, tail swishing agitatedly behind her.
Narisa smiled grimly towards Kindra. "Afraid so." She replied, offering a pat to Cepheith, not blaming her. "I guess we're in the safest spot we could be." The Goldrider added, not fully confident that was a true statement. She sighed, giving Kindra a thumbs up for good luck and support. We can do this. We have to do this. D'lin was counting on them. As were the other group leaders.

'They come from the west' Plexith supplied the queens but his voice was strained distracted..as though the bronze might be in a fight of his own at the moment 'I cannot tell you number's, too many are hidden in the tree's' He continued a brief pause before the bronze concluded his statement and broke contact for the moment 'We will be with you shortly'.

True to the bronze dragons words it wasn't long before a rustle in the woods declared the arrival of the enemy. Bursting from the trees came a lone green Wher, her hide smelling faintly of charcoal and smoke. The expression in her eyes was somewhat crazed and when no handler followed her it was easy to figure out why - either she was a wild Wher caught in the crossfire..or her handler had been dispatched elsewhere leaving her alone and uncontrolled.
Catching sight of the waiting gold's the green shrieked in agony and charged towards them. The green was not the only creature coming from the woods however..no more cracking bushes and the sound of shouting proved her to be only the tip of the iceburg. Four more figures appeared from the tree lines, two handlers and two Whers - a bronze and a blue.

(If Kyrie doesn't mind i'll roll for initiative)
Suunath gave a reassuring feeling towards Cepheith "In time, we must deal with the NOW first" she said with a short and quiet keen for her missing Twin, presumably back at Benden Weyr, she would have liked to know if she was alright but had heard nothing. Listening to Plexith Suunath rumbled, it came from deep down in her chest and grew until it was a very obviously agressive growling. "We are ready Plexith" she confirmed once again before turning her head towards the trees where the crashing was coming from. She roared as a Green burst out and shrieked, she wanted to go charging at it but she had promised Tyeth and His that she would keep Kindra safe, as a result she held her ground.
Kindra had nodded to Narisa's comment about being in the safest place, "I'd rather be down there... " she muttered to herself again, and received a very sharp NO from her Gold, causing her to blink. It wasn't often Suunath was so vehement towards her so Kindra paid attention, particularly when a Wher burst from the trees, followed by another couple, with their handlers. She was glad she had promised N'mol she wouldn't be rash. Instead she waited for the Whers to come to THEM.
((note, i slightly edited this after i, sleepily, realised that Suunath had ignored Cepheith... fixed that mistake))

((I apologize for taking so long to reply to this....and thanks Rev <33 ))
A rumbling sound of affection was directed at Suunath, and a strong feeling of appreciation for having the other Gold there. And we shall indeed deal with the now. Prepare yourself, Suunath! Cepheith too turned towards the direction Plexith had indicated. Her lips pulled back to flash large white fangs at any who passed through the treeline. Narisamine, they come. She said quietly to her rider.
"Me too." Narisa replied to Kindra, though it lacked some confidence. The Trine Goldrider honestly wasn't sure how well she would do on the ground currently. Like Kindra, she was pretty beat up but trying not to let it slow her down or keep her from doing what had to be done. <Tell D'lin and Plexith to be careful. And we'll see them soon.> Her grip tightened on her riding straps as the first of the whers appeared and Cepheith stepped forward with a bellow. She took another step forward before stopping, raking her nails through the sand. A clear warning of what she would do to the whers that got close enough.
Be careful, and we shall see you soon. Cepheith said quickly to Plexith, angling her body slightly so she could use her tail as the dangerous limb it was. We will not let you defeat us! She snarled to all.

Suunath gave a small reassuring rumble in the midst of her growling, aimed towards Cepheith. "It will be good to sink my claws into Wher hide again" she said, clearly eager to fight the Whers, some of that might have been Kindra's anger at her situation too.
Kindra gave Narisa a grim look, and nodded, she knew they would have a fight on their hands even if she wasn't down on the ground fighting. She wanted to be very badly but so far every attempt to put any decent weight on her injured leg had proven difficult. She'd resented having to rely on other people to get around, so much so she was thinking of asking N'mol to make her a crutch or something... or obtain one somehow.
Suunath bellowed alongside Cepheith "You will regret trying your revolution" she snarled, her voice dangerous and full of fight, she was ready on all counts, her eyes barely showing any other color but red.

Cetalese flew a few wingspans away from D'lin. She and Halith were focused on keeping the whers and their handlers from straying from the path that had been set for them while D'lin and Ca'mil focused on the main group and other trailing edge. Halith was enjoying using bursts of flame to dissuade those smart enough to realize they were likely falling into a trap from escaping, while Ceta kept a sharp eye out for stragglers, hiding whers, and enemy dragons. Although she and D'lin had not run into a second rogue dragon, Ca'mil had seen many when she went to . Mostly Browns, she had said, which bothered Cetalese. She had always been told Browns had common sense, and she had seen that many Brownriders had some sense of humor. To think that many would turn on the weyr... Well, that wasn't important now. They would see when this was all over who remained. She only hoped that those in her Clutch had been sensible and hadn't turned on the weyr. She hadn't seen any of them yet outside of Velath and Eliza, and that was unusual to her. Trine wasn't so big a weyr that one of them shouldn't have been able to find them. No signs of Z'iv, or Lina, or T'rel or the others. No M'lan, the one Brown from their Clutch.
Cetalese scanned the ground with her eyes as she thought. They were nearing the beach. The glittering water was just ahead-- and the two young, shimmering Golds.
Watch that side. Now they'll really try to run.
I am watching, Cetalesemine. I will get them.
True to her word, Halith curbed a wher's attempt to escape with a burst of flame, and then swooped at another batting it back in the direction it had been going originally. She avoided its handler's attempt to cut her with a rather long, dangerous-looking knife and turned in the air to swoop back down the line, keeping them all in order.
That human is escaping,] Halith warned, and Cetalese turned to see one man making a desperate bid for the woods.
... Let him go. We need to keep the rest in order. If we go after him, we'll only lose more.
The dragon and rider turned again, forcing the whers and their handlers onto the beach. They would either crash against the Golds or be crushed by the dragons behind them. Cetalese knew that if she was on the ground, she would be able to see the knowledge and fear of the situation on the faces of the Revolutionaries gathered there.

More are coming to you, Tyeth warned, bespeaking Suunath, Cepheith, and Plexith. Plexith had mentioned that they had reached the beach as well, so it was only fair that he give them the same warning. Soon the sands would be swamped with revolutionaries, wher and human alike, and they would have to pick off the beasts before the humans could be restrained.
The sands appeared under them and as Tyeth began passing over them he swooped down and snatched up a Blue wher in his claws, neatly breaking its back with a swift twist. The wher went limp in his claws as a human somewhere below cried out in pain.
Tyeth. N'mol was half-chastising, although he knew the whers had to die or be knocked unconscious. Tyeth had eaten and then spit out part of a wher at their last battle, something that had sent the other revolutionaries running. N'mol supposed he should be grateful he hadn't done that again, although N'mol was beyond caring what happened to the whers at this point. It was the horror of seeing his dragon do something so feral that caused a hint of objection from N'mol.
Tyeth dropped the body to the sand in front of a human, causing the woman to fall over as she tried to prevent herself from running into it. They would not hesitate to do the same to us, N'mol. I will not hold back when doing so will endanger ourselves and others. They brought this on themselves by rebelling. Reasoning has not worked, and therefore we must pursue them with the intent to stop them in any way possible. Both dragon and rider knew Tyeth had done it more than half to impress Suunath with his agility and precision, but N'mol didn't comment on it.
N'mol tightened his grip on the riding straps as Tyeth swooped down again, trying to rake his claws over a second wher. This one was faster and managed to avoid him, but it wouldn't do so for long. Tyeth was fixated on it now.

(( Since we no longer need to worry about points and the like, just feel free to NPC fighting the Wher's off =-) ))
Plexith dipped a wing suddenly, breathing a lethal flame towards a wher and hander who were trying to duck away to freedom. D'lin let the bronze take care of it - grimly aware that it was a necessary evil. 'Just shoo them back Plexith..don't burn them.'
'Burning or being clawed by a gold..what does it matter in the long run?' Plexith asked his rider with the draconic equivalent of of impatience in his voice. 'They must be taken care of and you know it as well as I'
D'lin didn't have much of an argument against his bronze and merely pursed his lips. He was tired of the fighting, the killing, the maiming...but they were so close to achieving their goals and driving the enemy out. He could feel it...but at the same time he had flown over enough of the Weyr to know that they had a long road ahead of them even in victory.
Driving the last remaining revolutionaries onto the beach Plexith roared greeting to the waiting queens. 'Destroy them all!' He encouraged the wrathful waiting gold's before plummeting to land directly on top of one fleeing wher, crushing it beneath his great weight, snarling and whipping his head around to send a jet of flame at another wher that had managed to tag him with raking claws.
