Biography: Alex was born into a family of magus. As he started to learn magic, he struggled a lot. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't do as well as his parents were expecting of him. Soon, they just gave up on teaching him and set out to have another child who they hoped would do better than him. Alex wouldn't let it end like that. He started to studying more and more himself, teaching himself how to do things. While his parents wanted him to learn how to do more offensive magic, something they deemed much more useful, he found he picked up other magic much easier. He's now entered the grail war to show everyone he was better than they could have ever hoped.

Biography: She is a Catholic saint born in Domrémy, France, and the heroine of France who liberated Orléans in the Hundred Years' War. She is a special Heroic Spirit summoned by the Holy Grail itself to act as the administrator of the Holy Grail War. This allows her to retain the memories of each repeating "game" unlike other Servants. She is taciturn and cool when acting as a Servant, but her natural self is a plain and quiet sixteen-year-old girl. Gustavus Adolphus was killed at the Battle of Lützen, when, at a crucial point in the battle, he became separated from his troops while leading a cavalry charge into a dense smog of mist and gunpowder smoke.

Biography: Ryou grew up alone, having never known his parents nor having any real friends, and growing up that way made him a bit jaded. However, he has seen other people who fought with every ounce of strength they had, who fought tooth and nail, all for the sake of protecting something important to them, and he always envied them for having something they valued so much that they would fight so hard to protect it. Ryou himself rarely ever finds a reason to get that riled up in a fight, even if his own life is on the line, but after hearing of the Holy Grail War, he decided to take part, in the hopes of finding something that he valued dearly enough to drive him to fight with everything he has to protect it.

Once its function as a Noble Phantasm is activated, she summons a circle of levitating ofuda surrounded by a number of glowing torii, charges the mirror with energy, and stands in the middle of the circle to draw in the energy. The energy drawn in allows her to use her abilities without the need to expend any prana for a limited time. It is normally a divine treasure of the land of the dead that can even bring the deceased back to life, but the Servant form of Caster hasn't been granted the authority to use that much power.
