i say go with the sleeves, it adds a new element to an otherwise overdone portrait composition. it'd be interesting to incorporate your own designs and branching off a bit from the monna vanna, to make it a little more modernized and more you. could probably make it a little more kimono-esque or whatever floats your boat.

the donkey's legs are sort of unstructured and helterskelter. Either they should be stnading, sitting or laying down, but either way they ought to look as though they are somehow supporting the upper body.
