my first story had something to do with a butterfly and a caterpillar i think. I was in the first grade? I can't remember. That story was reincarnated into a better story when I was in the sixth grade. The new version won 6th place in a regional competition back then.

Wow.... All of these are so creative and all of you started so young! I never wrote stories when I was a kid. I guess the closest to making any story I came to when I was a child was when I played pretend. I didn't write anything until I was 14 and it was terrible by the way. And I'm not just talking quality. Creativity it was lacking too and you'd think I'd be able to write something creative what with all of the drawing I did. It was some vampire story or another. I think that right there is enough to understand the atrocity that I had created.

I don't remember the very first story I ever wrote. I mostly wrote poems anyway.
But I do remember the first story I started writing, revised, and then officially gave up on.
I believe I wrote it in the 9th grade.
It had a Beauty and the Beast kind of thing going on (at least in my mind, as I wrote it).
The original is lost in a notebook somewhere. I wrote it during my classes and it had a bit of erotica in it.
But then, I was like, "NO. REWRITE." and I wrote it in a livejornal as a restart.

This is it, actually.

My First Story
Its one that I'm writing currently, I don't include the ones from elementary or middle school, those were required. The one I am currently writing is about an orphaned girl who faces a strange new world..still working out characters, definitely a work in progress however.

My first story was horror (demons and hauntings included) and I wrote it when I was 15. It desperately needs a re-write, because it isn't as scary as it should be, but I just haven't had the time... But someday soon... 3nodding

I actually remember my very first story. I was like four, not even in school yet. (I didn't go to preschool and my mom tught me how to write cursive before kindergarten, so the book was in rough cursive.) My mom always read me stories, like chapter book stories, so I decided to write one. I was only like ten pages. I'm pretty sure it was about a dog and a cat and everyone said they couldn't be friends because dogs always chase cats. Well, you probably see where this is going; the dog and cat become bet friends and everyone figures out it's okay to be friends with other people...and they lived happily ever after. Yes, I even worte that at the end, I clearly remember. So the little book made out of copy paper and tape with hand drwn pictures sat on my bookshelf with all of the real books. I should find it, I had it until recently, don't know where it went...

My first long story was one I wrote when I was 11. It was about a summer camp that ended up being a fight for survival after a canoe accident.
I read through it not long ago and my writing was so foolishly young and naive.

Mine was from 1st grade. I actually still have it on my flashdrive lol. It's about a bunny named Beany that got a gift from a fairy.
