- Laying in a patch of sunlight, the three year old brute soaked up all before the sun has started to set. Hakan really hadn’t been in too deep of a sleep. Just a small nap before he stayed up late to do night time patrols. Besides, the other warriors surely had a handle on things. The brute let out a large yawn as he reluctantly began to stand up. He liked sleeping far too much. It was a failing he could recognize within himself. Every patch of warm sunlight was just irritable to him to just lay down and stretch out in. Sun warming his fur was the best way to take a nap! Though in winter, on bitterly cold days only, he did allow himself to be cuddled up to for warm. Those naps were even better! But good luck to any wolf to pry that bit of information out of him. He hardly admitted it to himself. In fact, Hakan would have made a pretty good rogue. He preferred to be left alone for the most part. Rarely did the warrior get close to any of his pack. Though there was an exception here and there. Mostly older wolves and perhaps a pup or two. Brutes were a good portion of those select few that he let get close to him. Most faes were just… well, Hakan couldn’t really say they were annoying. No, it was more that he didn’t trust them or didn’t want to allow himself to trust them. Oh well, it didn’t much matter. He liked the pack and being part of it. He enjoyed being relied upon and looked up to. Being a warrior was an ego fluffer and allowed him to be sociable but keep a distance at the same time.
Stretching out his front legs before him letting his back end rise. “Mmmmmrrgggufff,” he half moan and grunted as he brought himself back up. Shaking his fur a bit he gave what could have been called a huffing snort or sneeze. Turning around he started to head back to the den site. He didn’t really need to retrace his steps to find his way back home. It was a built in sense. He never understood how some wolves of his own pack ever got lost in the woods. Couldn’t they sense where home was? Maybe it was because they hadn’t been there all of their lives. Or they are just stupid, he thought to himself to keep his mind busy. He didn’t really want to let his mind wonder. It had been a couple of months since the year anniversary of his sister ditching the back. Hakan was pretty sure that he should have been over it by now. That his thoughts would never stray to the smaller fae. Yet, since the year anniversary she kept coming back into his thoughts. Which caused the already grumpy prone wolf to get even more grumpy. It felt like he was having to train himself all over again not to think about her. So like the year before around the same, the male kept his mind else where. Even if the thoughts weren’t even of any importance.
Heading back to the den site he picked up the smell of two wolves that he was rather familiar, Calet and Calla. They weren’t too far off and seemed as good as distraction as any. Changing his course, the brute went looking for them. He didn’t exactly sneak, but he didn’t exactly make his presence known. For as he came close to where they were, they seemed to be sparring. Which caused the male’s ears to perk a bit, for he loved to watch and participate in that sort of activity. Though, for the moment he felt just like watching. So he didn’t step directly into the open but instead watched the other two wolves playfully going for each other. Dropping to his belly stayed a bit a way, more just to give them as much room as he could for see them needing. He couldn’t help but let out a short amused huff through his snout as Calla pinned the older brute. Calet was easily out from under her. That was no surprise to the warrior. He was a good sized brute and knew his way around a fight. Ears were perked in attentive watching as Calet told the she-wolf to come and give him her best shot. Hakan was rather interested to see what the white fae’s move would be as well.
