Ⓚⓐⓚⓤⓔⓘ Ⓣⓐⓚⓐⓗⓐⓢⓘ " Hey, what are you doing? Which book are you reading? Oh no---!! That's a very important book to me! Go read a fantasy or something of the sort! A Girl?! No, I am a Boy. . .!! " Kakuei walked in the bookstore and inhaled the smell of books and a new day with a very broad smile on his face as she looked around, glad to have another day to work in his shop. Everything was peaceful for now in the city and because of that, there haven't been any suspicious things for him to examine or anything for him to do in his second job, which he found vexing and annoying. As he walked in, Kakuei threw his bag on a high shelf so that no one could get it and found his place in the cash register after pulling out some random book that was in a random bookshelf that he himself had access to read because he was the Manager. As he sat down in his spot, he was finally able to get a good look of the book itself called : Silent Husband by : Unknown. Odd book. In the cover, it showed a woman wearing a white dress, one for marriage purposes and next to her was a shadow of a man. A shadow itself and nothing more. Kakuei would read the back, but he hated spoiling himself and would only read the front as he flipped to the front page, getting lost after the words : " He was gone from my mind forever . . . " and so on. Knowing that he would get lost in the book, Kakuei had already opened the door in the front and he himself installed a bell so that he knew when a customer would come so that he would wake up when it rang. But right now, he was in his own little world of the Realistic book, following a story of a woman who married the fake for a husband as well as the fake being asked by the true husband to marry the woman he did not love anymore. As Kakuei read this, he looked quite feminine as he was sitting in that chair with his right elbow on the table and his right hand on his cheek with the book in his left hand. He could have easily been taken as a woman, which happened regularly everyday---------which also made him mad knowing that he was a man.

Toby Becket Mercenary Extraordinaire "Truth is elusive, it's nowhere to be found" After fleeing from what Toby considered to be her sanctuary, with out any books, she felt the need to correct this, even if her wallet couldn't afford to do so. Though she knew that her money should be placed on other things, like food or clothes, she really wanted a book to read. She opened the door, a chime of the door announcing her entrance, and made her way to the Classics. Though Toby was not adverse to newer titles, Classics were usually cheaper and re-readable. It was a shame that she had to limit herself to two, but when she was certain the Nobles were not going to be in the Library would she go back and check out more books. It was hard to choose from these titles though. A bit annoyed at being forced to choose only two, Toby took off her cap and ran a hand through her blue hair to try and sooth her nerves, before putting it back on. "Make that one choice", Toby thought to herself as she picked up A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court By Mark Twain. She briefly thought of asking the worker's opinion on what her second choice could be, but soon chucked that thought out of the window when she saw the... girl? no, man, lost in his own book. It was best if she narrowed down on what she wanted, or just buy the book in her hand. "It's not in any magazine, You can't see it on your TV screen"

" Kakuei heard the chime of the bell---surprisingly and looked up to find a a boy----no----a girl, coming into his store. Out of politeness, he introduced her, a smile that made him look even more feminine as he was at the moment and then picked up his book again to start reading. Some hair had gotten into his eyes and he soon moved it away, silently thinking that maybe he should get a haircut. But, he loved his hair now, not too long, not too short, and not to revealing when she had gone out to do missions for the Shimizu. Speaking of which, he had wondered if they had needed him now. . .No matter. Kakuei then looked through his book and glanced up once or twice at his one customer who seemed to be stumped at making a choice. From looking at her eyes, this girl was saddened, maybe because her book wasn't there? Or was it she couldn't afford the book? Hoping to help her, Kakuei stood up from his throne that his the chair in front of the cash register and made his way up to her asking, "Would you like some help?"

Toby Becket Mercenary Extraordinaire "Truth is elusive, it's nowhere to be found" Toby blinked in surprise, before the face shifted back into her usual blank stare. He seemed helpful, and somewhat familiar, though she supposed everyone in town looked familiar to her due to her occupation. She really did need her next job though. Glancing down at her bool and then towards the classics, she let an inaudible sigh escape her lips as she pulled down her hat to hide her eyes. "No, I think I got what I came for," the mercenary stated in her usual monotone as she held the book in her hand up to emphasize her statement. She made it to the cash register in three short strides before she placed the book on the counter. "Sorry for taking you're attention away from your book." Toby's apology seemed sheepish for being monotone. "It's not in any magazine, You can't see it on your TV screen"
