"You'll meet him eventually. He won't hurt you." Andrew spoke confidently, as if he knew the werewolf wouldn't hurt her. He would make sure of it, somehow. As far as he was concerned, Lydia needed protecting from the other werewolves and vampires, and possibly even the demons. She was new to the whole scene, she had no idea what to do when confronted by one of the 'mythical creatures', she had proved that much when he had attacked her.
"You can't help playing with your food?" He chuckled again as he swatted the crumb away with his hand. "Something we have in common." He grinned, ignoring the fact that he probably just made the conversation awkward. Her playing with her food was completely different to him playing with his food. For one, he liked when the person or animal was still alive and scared.
While Lydia munched on her cookie, Andrew lifted his hand and paid for the drinks and cookies. When the waitress left, he turned to look back at her and smiled. "You should probably be careful when you're home alone. You never know who could be in your house, especially since you've been turned into a werewolf." He was joking of course, something he couldn't help but do. He loved scaring people, it was what he did. He wondered if Lydia knew that vampires couldn't enter her home uninvited, it was one of those ridiculous myth's about vampires that just so happened to be true.

“With blood on my hands and senses most unhuman...”

For some reason, Lydia had a hard time believing him. Maybe it was because this guy attacked her, leaving her a werewolf and a set of scars on her shoulder shaped like bite marks. Maybe it was just the fact that her brain was still trying break all this information down. Whatever it was it was making her having a hard time believing this guy wouldn't hurt her. He sounded confident though and that calmed her down a tad bit.

"No, I can't help it. It's a bad habit." Just to prove that statement, she snapped the cookie she was currently eating in half. She stacked the two pieces on top of each other and looked up at Andrew. "It's not the same..." She mumbled softly, reaching over to grab another cookie. She usually didn't waste food but for some reason she couldn't help it. She had a horrible habit where she couldn't stop moving her fingers sometimes. Snapping that cookie into pieces as well, she added onto her small tower of cookie pieces. She figured he probably meant he played with his food like he did before with her. She shuddered once, happy he didn't go any further with his playing.

As Andrew spoke again, after he payed for the food and drinks, she looked up from her cookie tower in alarm. It wasn't like she could keep people out of her room since it was an apartment. She gaped at him for a few moments before speaking, "Are you serious?" If that was true then she'd probably have trouble sleeping, constantly staring at the window in her room. The fact made her feel oddly cold. "I don't know how to protect myself against other mythical creatures!"

Andrew chuckled as he watched her build a tower out of the cookies. It definitely wasn't the same. When she stared up at him, gaping, he grinned. "You don't have to worry about vampires. They can't enter a home without permission. The other creatures, I'm not so sure about." His grin fell back to a normal smile as he thought over what she said next. "There isn't really much you can do about the others... although I don't see why a werewolf would try to break in to your apartment. Perhaps just a demon, or something like that. Either way, you can't be too sure about safety." In all honesty, Lydia probably had absolutely nothing to worry about, but where was the fun in telling her that?
Andrew's smile faded slightly as he leaned forward, taking one of the pieces of cookie off of the tower she was building. "Protecting yourself would be easy, if you knew how to change whenever you wanted." It would be hard for her to learn how to control when she could change into a werewolf, but maybe he could motivate her into trying. He ate the piece of cookie and looked up at Lydia. "You could always just avoid sleeping."

“With blood on my hands and senses most unhuman...”

Lydia seemed a tad reassured at his words. At least she didn't have to worry about vampires. The other mythical creatures were another story though. She wasn't sure why one would want to visit her. Unless she knows a mythical creature. She searched her memory, trying to remember if she knew someone who was a mythical creature. She couldn't recall anyone acting odd but these creatures seemed masters at human disguise. As far as she knew she probably has met a mythical creature without knowing it. Since she couldn't think of any odd people or someone who would seem a creature that wasn't human she stopped worrying. Unless these creatures visited random people for some reason.

"Is there any way to... I dunno, keep them away?" She knew wolfs bane and silver was poisonous to werewolves. But there was a small chance that was actually true. She also wouldn't want to accidently poison herself. That wouldn't be good. She didn't know anything about keeping other creatures away other than the wolfs bane and silver bit. Suddenly she felt very small, like she was lost in a world in which she had no knowledge of. There were creatures that weren't human roaming the streets doing who knows what!

As Andrew leaned forward, stealing one of the cookie pieces from her tower, she snapped out of her thoughts and looked up to glare at him. "But I don't know how. It's not like I have someone to teach me since the person who bit me left me bleeding in the street." She looked down at her now smaller cookie tower and picked the top cookie piece off of it, flipping it around in her fingers. She felt so lost and confused, to the point where it felt like it would drive her crazy. She looked up at him again, still playing around with the cookie piece. "I can't just stop sleeping. That's unhealthy."

Andrew lifted an eyebrow before chuckling, "Keep them away? If some one is determined enough, nothing can keep them away. However, I don't smell anyone else on you..." He leaned back in his chair when he received a glare from her, putting on a pout. "Werewolves aren't the only beings that can teach you what you want to know. Some people know quite a bit about that sort of thing, even a few humans could teach you a thing or two about being a werewolf."
He watched her flip the piece of cookie around her fingers, almost amazed by her ability to do that. It was a cute trick that amused him, but he had never quite managed to master it. "Well, if you don't want to stop sleeping you could just get someone to watch over you while you sleep. Although, that would be a bit awkward..." He leaned forward, crossing his arms on the table. "It seems you're doomed to be watched by creepy people for the rest of your life."
Andrew chuckled before sitting back, he knew she was worried, he could tell by the look on her face, and her scent. Nothing was going to happen to her, at least not while he was around. He didn't smell anyone else on her, so she had no roommates. "You're safe with me, but I won't babysit you overnight." It was a strange idea that he just didn't like, mostly because watching someone sleep tended to make him crave their blood. They were already asleep, they wouldn't feel a thing, plus he could easily heal the wounds he caused. It was just too savage a thought. He should probably stop trying to scare her, before he made things beyond repairable.

“With blood on my hands and senses most unhuman...”

Lydia didn't say anything, continuing to flip the cookie piece around her fingers until she placed it on the table. She sighed, running her fingers through her dark colored hair. She would probably by up all night worrying for the next week or so. Just like after a horror movie she would be paranoid to the point where she'd probably jump at the smallest of noises. The fact did not please her. She didn't like being scared. At least Andrew didn't smell any other mythical creatures on her or anything. That was reassuring.

"Like you? You seem to know a bit about werewolves." Lydia glanced over at him, a small smile on her lips. She found his pouting a bit amusing. He didn't seem much like a childish person... Well, maybe a little. If he knew something about werewolves she would greatly appreciate his help. She didn't like feeling so small and lost. Also, if she were in danger, the help would still be nice. She wasn't good at throwing punches or simple defense in that matter.

"I wasn't asking you to babysit me while I sleep. That's just creepy. When I think of people who watch others while they sleep it makes me feel like I should be sleeping with a knife or gun under my pillow. Even if I don't know how to use them." Lydia chuckled softly, gently brushing the crumbs from her cookie breaking into her hand. When she was certain she got them all she brushed them off onto a nearby napkin. She wouldn't want to leave the waitress with a mess, it was rude.

"But it's nice to know I'm safe with at least one person." Lydia looked up and smiled briefly before stacking the cookie pieces neatly again. Even if she just met Andrew and he was a vampire if he said he would keep her safe then she believed him. Unless he was lying and put her in danger or something. Then that wouldn't be a very good thing on her part. But she felt she could trust him in that one thing, if anything.

"I know quite a bit about werewolves, however I don't find teaching them to all that amusing. They tend to be a bit too sensitive. I've had to avoid my fair share of bites." Andrew spoke as if this was a natural occurance for him. In fact, it kind of was. For some reason, he always found himself helping out people new to the whole mythical creature scene. "I can help you, but it's not like I can teach you how to be a proper werewolf. I'm a vampire, I don't know the ropes of being a werewolf very well."
Andrew watched as she cleaned up the crumbs, smiling at how considerate she seemed to be. "If you don't like people watching you, and you don't know how to control your newfound 'power', then what do you want as protection?" He could think of plenty ways of keeping her safe, all without involving him being in the same room as her and watching her sleep. It would be simply, hire a guard for her, or set up some sort of alarm that only human beings could pass without triggering.
Andrew pulled out his cellphone and held it out to her. "Here, take my number and call me whenever you need me. I'm always free." The only numbers Andrew had in his phone were two other vampires within the city and a werewolf that lived in Florida, all of which he hardly spoke to anymore. His cellphone was becoming useless by the day, but hopefully Lydia would change that. He loathed spending money on things he didn't use, even though he had plenty of money to waste.

“With blood on my hands and senses most unhuman...”

Lydia looked over at him, starting to munch on her cookie pieces just because they were in front of her. Well, at least he knew a bit about werewolves. But if he thought they were sensitive and almost got a few close calls then he may not on want to teach her. If he didn't want to she would understand but she hoped he would help her. She didn't want to be helpless. "It's alright, any help would be greatly apperciated." She briefly threw out both hands in the air as if she were showing him she didn't have any weapons before picking up another cookie piece to eat.

Lydia seemed to be taking this all pretty good. But she was certain later it would catch up to her and she'd go into shock or something. Most likely when she was going to bed and had time to think deeply about things. As Andrew spoke she looked over at him, snapping out of her thoughts. She tilted her head to the side slightly as she considered what would be good protection. She wasn't exactly sure what would be good protection against mythical creatures. She also didn't want to bother then dark haired vampire too much, not wanting to be a hindrance. She looked over at him again and gave him a small smile. "Ah... What would you suggest?"

As he handed a cellphone to her she reached over and took it from him with one hand, the other digging in her pockets to find her cellphone. Once she found it she pulled it out, scrolling to the contacts option. She selected new contact before looking through Andrew's phone for his number. Once she found it she put the number into her phone and put hers into his, so he wouldn't think some random person was calling him. She leaned forward in her seat slightly as she handed his cellphone back to him, smiling. "Thanks. I'll be sure to call you if I need your help. I, uh, also put my number in your phone. Just in case." Lydia blushed lightly as she held out his phone, hers still sitting on the table. It was a very basic cellphone, with it's helpful uses. She could call and text on it, that's all she needed.

"I will help you, but if you attack me, I'll return the favor." He pointed out blankly, as if he really didn't care much for the topic. The thought of fighting Lydia didn't really appeal to him, she was new to being a werewolf, if he hurt her, things would get awkward from then on. "I can teach you everything I know, which isn't much, most of what I know relates to being a vampire..."
He watched her for a while when she asked her next question, he could easily suggest something for her, but would she be comfortable with it? "I suggest someone to watch over you." A werewolf standing guard outside of her apartment would be great, but he'd have the same weaknesses as Lydia. A vampire would be great, however they were deceptive beings by nature. "However, finding the right person could be a challenge. You should just live normally and avoid any unecessary risks, especially those brought on by having guards and traps." When someone hired a guard, it usually meant they had something to hide, or something that needed protecting, a lot of 'bad guys' were attracted to this sort of scenerio. "You have my number, I have your scent, I can find you, so long as you don't hide in a puddle of mud or something that could distort my sense of smell."
Andrew grinned and took his phone back from her, "I'll be sure to call you should I need rescuing." He stuffed his phone into his pocket. He doubted he would ever need rescuing, he tended to avoid those types of situations. Death was not very appealing to the vampire. "You can call me anytime you need help, even if it's something stupid." Andrew had nothing better to do with his time, so offering Lydia his help was really no trouble at all. The most he did was go clubbing or traveling.

“With blood on my hands and senses most unhuman...”

"Ah... Rest assured, I probably won't be attacking you." Lydia held up both hands in a sort of surrender, pretty sure she wouldn't be hurting her anytime soon. He knew about mythical creatures more then her and could probably kill her before she even laid a finger on him. She shuddered once before looking over at him to listen to what he had to say. There wasn't any reason to hurt him and she didn't want to either.

"Anything would help, it's fine." Lydia smiled, pulling her sketchbook across the table so it was in front of her. She ran her fingers over the cover. Though all he knew was mostly about vampires he could at least help a little bit so she wasn't completely helpless. Besides, there was a chance the one who bit her would check in on her and he may be able to help. That was if he wasn't dangerous or anything. She still thought of him as someone she should be scared of but he was the same species as her, she shouldn't be scared of him.it probably wasn't natural to be scared of your same species.

Lydia nodded at his suggestion. Granted it would be awkward for someone to watch over her but if that was what he suggested then she would respect it. As he spoke again she smiled slightly, flipping through the pages of her sketchbook just out of habit. It made sense, laying low and all. If she didn't draw attention to herself then she should be fine. It was much better than having the option of a babysitter. "Ah, alright. Thanks." As he mentioned hiding in a puddle she laughed softly, shutting her sketchbook. "No worries, I don't hide in puddles!"

Lydia smiled at him again, shaking her head. She wasn't exactly the person to call when one is in trouble but she knew he was probably kidding. He didn't seem the person to get in serious trouble or danger. "Ah, okay. Thanks." Knowing there was someone that could help when she needed it was reassuring and made her feel a bit safer.

Andrew chuckled when she assured him that she wouldn't be attacking him. It wasn't something the person he would help usually planned on doing, it just sort of happened. "We'll see about that."
"You know, you could always come with me to my place." He winked at her, teasing her as he moved to lean forward. "I have plenty of spare bedrooms, and nobody bothers me." The invitation was sincere, but it was meant as a joke. If she accepted it, he'd allow her to stay there for a couple of nights, or until she was ready to return to her own home, but if she laughed it off, well good. That's what was meant to happen.
He ran through his mind just what he would teach her about the mythical 'world', but nothing really stood out. He knew to avoid the topic of demons, they weren't people to reckon with. He could easily train her to use her sense of smell to her advantage, as well as her newfound strength, whether she'd discovered that yet or not. "There's plenty for you to learn." He grinned, allowing his sharp teeth to show. "We could always just throw you into a pit with another werewolf and see how well you fair..."
He winked at her before moving to stand up, changing the subject at the same time, "Come, I'll show you where I live. You can visit me anytime you wish, assuming I'm home at the time..."

“With blood on my hands and senses most unhuman...”

Lydia glared at Andrew slightly. She was pretty certain she wouldn't be attacking him. It wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do since he was helping her. She was also pretty nice, she wouldn't attack him. Even if he was suppose to be her enemy or something, vampires and werewolves could get along. Right? If they weren't suppose to then he would probably get in trouble with other vampires or something. But he seemed pretty cool about, instead of acting like it should be kept a secret. So she guessed that meant it was fine. Thus she wouldn't be attacking him because she had to. "I'm serious."

As he spoke again, adding in a wink, Lydia stared at him as if she wasn't sure if he was surious or not. People usually didn't invite her over to their houses. But those people were all in college and the majority of them lived in dorms or apartments with other people. That and she grew distant with them since the night she was attacked. They still called her every now and then, pretending to be concerned. She knew then that they weren't exactly real friends. "I wouldn't want to bother you..." She rubbed the back of her neck once before placing both hands on the table. She appreciated the offer, and would like to accept, but she really didn't want to be too much of a bother. He was already helping her, she didn't want to burden him too much. She might get too annoying or something.

As Andrew grinned, revealing pointed teeth, Lydia winced slightly. She still wasn't used to the fact that he was a vampire. He seemed like a normal, friendly teenager. She glared at him again, pouting slightly. "That's not that fair. I'm not exactly good competition at the moment." As he stood up, she looked up at him before following suit. She held her sketchbook in one hand, looking down at her spot at the table to make sure it was relatively clean. She looked back at him when she was done and smiled once. "Okay."

Andrew chuckled as he led her to the door, "You wouldn't be bothering me in the least. I live in a rather large place, it gets lonely." He had to admit, it was true. He rarely had visitors, and when he did, they were usually only there for one thing, his money. That was one reason he didn't have too many real friends, he used most of the people he knew to get what he wanted.
"Good competition for another werewolf, no." Good competition for other women around him, yes. He kept that bit to himself, not wanting to creep her out. She was cute, he liked cute girls. Not a lot of those around lately. As he reached the door, he held it open for her.
"I live in the Golden Apple Hotel, it's not too far from here." He looked outside, but he couldn't exactly see the hotel from inside of the cafe. Once they were out on the streets, they'd probably be able to see it plain as day.

Raven walked down to the small Cafe where she worked and although she had a car, she enjoyed the short walk down through the village. She watched as everyone walked by, the young couples and the older ones. Glancing at the young children who walked by, their parents not to far behind, and smiled. Raven wanted a family but she just hadn't found the right one yet, and there was also the possibility her child could become a wolf, and she knew how hard it was already trying to hide it from everyone she knew. Raven had met some other wolves, but hadn't joined any packs. Almost getting to carried away in her own thoughts, Raven took a few more short steps and then opened up the door and walked in, she noticed a few people and smiled and waved and then went behind the counter to clock in. Raven always enjoyed her shifts in the cafe, meeting new people, and the delightful smell of pastries and coffee warmed her right up. She put on her apron and went and sat on the stool behind the front counter, waiting for someone to place an order, slowly getting lost in her own thoughts. . . . After her shift, Raven clocked out and left the cafe to head somewhere to have a little fun.
