"Whaa?" Terra blinked at a poke in her shoulder, waking her up. But sleeping had felt so good, and she'd barely been asleep at all. At least that's what if felt like. Oh, how she wanted to stay asleep... But no. Somebody had poked her. Shaking her head slightly to clear the sleepiness, she really looked for the first time since the poke. Penelope was there. And she was still female. Wasn't she supposed to be finding someone to turn her male again? Wait, Penelope had asked a question, hadn't she. Um. Oh yeah - if Terra was okay. "Oh, hey. Yeah, I'm fine. What are you doing here?" she asked, honestly a little confused at how she'd found her here in the middle of some forest. Because, obviously, her insane laughter and yell of frustration wouldn't have brought any attention to her at all.

Well she seemed alright, if not a bit drowzy. "Me?" Penelope blinked. "I was... was... enjoying the scenery." She wiped a hand across her eyes, hoping they weren't red. "A-anyways, I could ask the same about you. What are you doing sleeping in the woods? And... and why are you soaked? That's a good way to get sick you know, wearing sopping wet clothes, and, and sleeping... at the same time." She frowned, unsure if that had even made sense. "Maybe... do you wanna head back to the apartments and change? I'll go with you- I mean, not into the apartment or anything cause- Well, not that that would be weird becau- I mean, it wouldn't mainly due to-... I just mean we can head back to the hot springs place... together... if you want. You should definitely, er, probably get changed, and I'm pretty much done ah... enjoying, so... so yeah." She sighed. Obviously, having a british accent didn't actually mean you had any sort of mastery of the english language. It was always like this with new people.

Terra glanced down at herself. Yeah, she was soaked, but she was wearing a swimsuit. They're supposed to be wet. Why should she change? "I'm here cause I was almost drowned for accidentally getting some immortal's book wet, and I couldn't fight underwater so I got mad and left." she said conversationally. It really was kind of a funny story when she thought about it from a different perspective. Terra stretched and stood up, looking around again. "It really is beautiful here, I can see why you would want to come enjoy it," she said happily, completely oblivious to any emotional trauma going on around her. Although she was a little concerned about Penelope's faltering speech. That girl really needed to relax.

Now that she was awake, she wouldn't mind having a companion somewhere. A companion not out to kill her or call her names, although those types of companions could be rather fun sometimes. "Sure, we can go - wait, where do you want to go again? The apartments or the hot springs? It wouldn't be weird for you to be in the girls apartments, by the way. You are female right now." Terra basically ignored the part about needing to change, as she didn't feel it necessary, especially not if they were going to the hot springs. Although a towel would be nice if they decided to stop by the apartments.

There was a point in time where someone telling her that sort of thing would have caused her undue stress, but after having several different people recount similar stories to her, Penelope had sort of realized that there really wasn't any point to getting worked up about anything, after all, they weren't. "Yeah well, you know how immortals get about their books." She shrugged. "You're okay though right? I mean, you're the second person I've met who almost drowned today, though she..." She trailed off, blushing slightly. "Ah... well, that's not important. Drowning sucks doesn't it? Yeah."

She stood, rocking back on her heels and brushing herself off. "Well we- er, yes I, I know." She shoved her hands in her pockets. "I don't have any problems going into the apartments, I just thought... that you might." She looked at her shoes. "I-I don't really care where we go. I mean, you're obviously dressed for the hot springs, but... Well, I'd have to grab my er... swimwear, from my room for that, but that's... well, in the men's apartments. She fidgeted slightly. "And well, you can see the problem with that... I mean, I'm still down to do... to do whatever. We can go wherever you want really. I don't mind."

Terra grinned at Penelope's comment about immortals. I think that's the first time I ever heard her make a joke. She paused doubtfully At least I think it was a joke... "Yes, I'm fine, and yes, it would have sucked to actually drown," she said with a laugh. Terra was curious as to this other near-drowned experience, but decided not to ask. If the other person's experience was anything like hers - which was doubtful - he or she probably wouldn't want it spread around.

Why would I mind if Penelope came into the apartments? Terra thought, confused. "I honestly don't care what we do either. Would you like some help turning back into a guy? So you can get to your stuff and all. Maybe I could distract a guy after you do whatever it is you gotta do, so he won't see you change?" Terra offered, not really sure if it would work. She still wasn't sure how the whole thing worked, but it seemed pretty simple. Maybe she had to see a guy and then spin around or something? That's basically what had happened with her earlier, right? But either way Terra was pretty sure this girl was shy about her shifting. Pretty sure... If Penelope didn't want to change back, they could just head into town or something.

Penelope smiled, Terra seemed like a pretty laid back person, which was nice. Laid back people were always the best, as they didn't tend to overreact as much. She provided more than enough overreaction for any group she was with. "Ah, it really doesn't work that way." She said uncomfortably. "I... They have to see me er, "Change"... literally. When I swap se.... well, my "condition" kicks in whenever I look someone of the opposite gender in the eye... that's why... why I switched when you walked up in the Zen Gardens. I really should've been being more careful, but I was caught off guard. I-it's fine though. I really don't mind being either a boy, o-or a girl. I mean, when I actually change it's sort of... not fun... I just have a lot more experience being a boy, well at least till I started going to rosentale. There's been a lot of me being a girl at that school..." She shifted her weight uncomfortably from foot to foot. Whenever she got going about her condition, she had a hard time stopping. "Er... if you want to go to the hotsprings, I could always go find someone to help me switch so I can get my... my stuff, and then I can meet you there. It's really no big deal. I mean, that way, you don't have to be waiting on me to... Or if you're not set on hotsprings we could do something else... if you want."

Well that was unfortunate. It would be a devil to hang out with her as a guy, if you couldn't even look her in the eye. "That sucks, I'm sorry. Well if you don't want to change we could, I dunno, wanna go into town? Or we could see if there's something to do back there," Terra offered, jerking her head towards the building. Well, she hoped it was the building - she really had no idea where they were at the moment, but it felt like the right direction. Terra wasn't entirely sure what to do about her clothes though. She didn't mind walking around in just her swimsuit, but it probably wasn't the best idea. Most likely there was some kind of dress code she would violate if she walked back into the house like this. Then again, if that idiot underwater sorcerer guy was still right near where her clothes were... Blast.

Penelope shrugged. "Er... I've just gotten used to it I guess, but I don't mind... I mean, if you're not set on the hot springs it would certainly... well, make things easier. For me I mean. I'll have to ah, to change back eventually, but I'm fine with... whatever you want to do. Really." She shifted her weight onto her other foot and gestured off in the same direction Terra had. "Ah, though if we go into the town... Well, you should probably get some clothes or... or something, for that. Not that you necessarily need them, but you might end up being a little more comfortable's all..."

She stuffed her hand into her pocket. Well, unless one of them picked something, they were gonna be stuck standing around talking about where they wanted to go forever. It reminded her of when she went to visit her extended family, who spent more time attempting to figure out where they wanted to go eat than actually going and eating. "You know what? Why don't we go ah... get you at least like, a towel or something, and then we can figure out if or... or where we're going after that. Never want to go anywhere without a wonderfully spectacular towel right?"

Terra laughed. True enough. "Sounds good to me. My clothes are by the river though, it would probably be good if I got those sooner rather than later." If the all-mighty loon was still there, she would just ignore him. Just walk over, take her clothes, and leave. Simple as that. Right. Nodding, Terra set off in the direction she thought was the right one. WAIT, no. Penelope had talked about the town when she gestured this way. Dang it. "Oh, sorry. I could've sworn this was the way back," Terra grimaced as she turned around. Idiot. Heading the opposite way from the town, she decided it would probably be better to let Penelope lead. She hung back a little so she could walk a half step behind. After all, Penelope was observing scenery, whereas Terra had been raging through unknown territory. Without her towel, of all things.

-Terra exits to River-

Penelope blinked. "Er... The river... I was just there... I think it's thataway yes?" She started walking. "You... just left your clothes there? The ah... the immortal guy must've really ah, really gotten to you huh? Well, I suppose if he... o-or she, had tried to drown me for some reason like getting a book wet... though it might depend on the book actually." She shook her head. "If it was say, a first edition of the hobbit or something... No, that's really beside the point. I can see why you left them there, sorry. I actually took a swim a... a little earlier, though I was fully clothed unfortunately. Had to go and change after that, and then of course I thought: stressful situation, might as well go to the zen gardens to relax, but that's where I met you so that didn't really work out... work out too well." She smirked. "ahem... so yeah! I think the river is this way."

[exit to river]

(eh, probably, but I don't foresee it being too big of a problem ninja )
