xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxpicture taken from GoogleImages He came to them in a dream, as a golden ray of light, as a feeling of comfort and reassurance. That feeling, that light, surrounded Alessandro Alamonte and Alexandra Kane, enveloping them in a warm, loving embrace. The light spread throughout their bodies and touched their hearts, changing it ever so slightly. It was a strange feeling; they knew who He was, though He never said, and they trusted him completely. It wasn't something they'd felt in quite a while.
Then, slowly, the light withdrew from their bodies, yet lingered, as if to reassure them that He had not left them, that He would never leave them. They realized then that they were floating in a sky filled with fluffy clouds tinted a pale gold. They felt like they were clouds themselves, they felt so light and free. They should have been scared, but they weren't; whatever happened, they knew, He would be there. He would protect them, would not let them fall.
There was a bright flash in front of them. It was pure white in color, then slowly turned to a soft luminescent gold. It faded away, and in its place was a man. He was tall, muscular, yet slender at the same time. He had smooth, creme-colored skin, and wore a long white robe. Long locks of golden hair tumbled down his head, falling just below his shoulders, framing an angular face with perfect angular features. He was the most beautiful man Alessandro and Alexandra had ever seen, yet it wasn't his face that drew their attention - it was his wings. They were as tall as the angel himself in height, perhaps just a bit taller, and double his arm span when stretched to their full length. They were made of pure white feathers, each one delicately shaped, and they looked as soft as the clouds around them.
The angel had been looking down when he appeared; now, slowly, he raised his head, clear blue eyes meeting Alessandro's/Alexandra's own. A pure, high, ringing melody echoed in their minds, and they realized it was his voice. It was like a cool breeze, or a soprano's final note.
"I am Raguel, an angel of God.
"You, Alessandro Russo Alemonte/Alexandra Kane, have been chosen to be a part of something extraordinary. You have been blessed with a special gift from He himself; look inside yourself to find out what exactly it is. This is sudden, but this is not random. You have been blessed for a reason. Time is limited. I do not have enough now, but I shall explain to you everything soon. When you wake, there will be an address on a slip of paper, on your bedside table. Once you finish your school day, go immediately to that address. We shall wait for you there.
"This is not just a dream. Our situation is truly dire, and I say this with the utmost sincerity:
"We need your help."

The slip of paper led Alessandro Alamonte and Alexandra Kane to a run-down coffee shop on the outskirts of the city. Upon walking inside, they found it was quaint, small without being cramped, and though plain, had a nice atmosphere. There were just a few customers there, lounging in either normal chairs or bean bag chairs, who, unbeknownst to the two humans, weren't as they appeared. Behind the counter, a familiar face looked up and smiled at them, quickly abandoning whatever he was working on. He approached them, a surreal fluidness to his stride. His speech wasn't in their minds this time, but it was just as melodic and pure. "Thank you so much for believing me. This way, if you will."
With a nod to the customers, who replied with the same gesture, he walked up to a bookcase sitting limply in the corner. Raguel rummaged in one of the shelves, then stood back just in time as there was a barely audible click! and the bookcase slid to the side to reveal a hidden door. Behind it, the lights turned on, illuminating a large, well-stocked room. On the other side of the room was another door. Beside it was a large screen, like those used for presentations and the like. To the side were several bean bag chairs, apparently waiting in storage until they were brought out into the coffee shop. In the center sat a long wooden table, with three chairs on each side and one in the front. Raguel took his place at the front of the table and waited until the two humans were seated before he began to speak.
"I shall get straight to the point. Despite what humans think, you are not the only sentient species on the planet. What you might have previously thought were just myths are, in fact, very real. God is real, and so are angels. As are vampires, werewolves, and faeries. And as are demons, monsters, and Lucifer.
"Lucifer has long been plotting to take over the Earth, replace the humans with his own ghastly allies from Hell, and dethrone Him and his angels from their places in Heaven. About a century ago, He formed a team made up of four magical creatures to fight Lucifer's forces. However, Lucifer has been growing ever stronger, and his army has become too strong for four people to handle. That is where you two come in. He has chosen you to join this team and together - fight to defeat Lucifer and his demons."
The door behind Raguel slid open, and four people walked in. At the rear was a petite woman with soft, pale blonde hair and deathly pale skin. Her eyes showed complete disinterest, and the tip of her mouth quirked up in a knowing, mysterious smirk. Beside her was a lanky young man with messy brown hair. His eyes were two different colors, an icy blue and an earthy green, and they were constantly looking anywhere and everywhere aside from the two humans. He moved in an sudden, twitchy manner, and had an animal-like, untamed air to him. The second woman was also a bit on the small side, but curvier and fuller. She practically oozed sensuality, what with her sharp cheekbones, silky dark hair, and full sensual lips. At the lead was a tall, muscular man with the same angular features as Raguel. His chestnut brown hair was neatly combed, and he was equally as handsome as Raguel. He had 'the looks of an angel' -- literally. Though where Raguel's eyes showed kindness and understanding, his were harsh and unwelcoming.
"These are the four you shall be working with from now on. This-" Raguel gestured to the man in the front, "- is a fellow angel of mine, who goes by Xander. Beside him is Valery Mosinn, a Faerie. Behind them are Johnikliathen Sherledismithrhett, a shape-shifter, and Lenora Fulbright, a vampire who has proved herself loyal to our cause more than enough times. These four will provide you with more information and get you settled. I will take my leave now.
"Again, I thank you both. I am confident we have not chosen the wrong people for this task."
Raguel stood and walked out the same door the four non-humans had come in. A gold-white flash soon followed, signaling the angel's exit, leaving the two humans alone with their new team members.

X A N D E R и ɒ н q ɒ x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxthe former Angel of Invention Xander was skeptical, to say the least, that two humans would be able to handle being a part of the team. He wasn't even sure that they wouldn't break down upon being told that humans weren't the only sentient species on the planet, and that they now had to risk their lives everyday to save the human race. It was a lot to take in, and humans were so susceptible to their foolish emotions, their mind and bodies so fragile. If this ... experiment ... turned out to be a failure, Xander would be the first one to say, "I told you so."
The angel could hear Raguel and the two humans right now, conversing in the main meeting room. Raguel had told them to wait outside in the hall until he called for them, so that they could introduce themselves and then help the humans get settled in. As if I'd really play welcome wagon, Xander thought with a scowl. Though as much as he didn't want to, he had to; obedience was part of the deal if he wanted to get back with his fellow angels again. He could always find loopholes, though, avoid doing what he was asked. Sure, he'd go with the others to "welcome" the new team members, but actually "welcoming" them was never in mind, and his nonchalant manner as they waited in the hall, with his arms crossed defiantly over his chest and one feet resting against the wall, portrayed exactly that to the other three team members.
"They look like a pair of ninnies," he growled in a low voice, despite not having even met them yet. "Sound like them, too."
"... and together - fight to defeat Lucifer and his army of demons."
"That's our cue," he muttered, adjusting his leather jacket. He stood in front of the door, and when the other three had gathered either beside or behind him, the automatic doors slid open, and Xander caught his first glimpse at the new team members. They were sitting at the long table, looking small in the large business chairs, unintentionally looking wide-eyed and baffled. Raguel stood at the head of the table. The angel paused for a moment to allow the four to walk in, then introduced each of the team members one by one.
Xander assumed an air of nonchalance, hands stuffed into his jean pockets, a look of pure boredom on his face. Raguel quickly finished up and left, glancing meaningfully at Xander as he passed by them. Raguel turned a corner, and a bright golden flash soon followed, signalling the angel's exit. Xander then glanced at the two newbies, his bored expression now mixed with disdain, his gaze scrutinizing the two humans. Finally, he sighed, first to break the tense silence. "Well. You two don't look as much like ninnies as I thought."
He plopped himself down onto one of the bean bag chairs on the side. "Even though our dear angel already did so, I'll introduce myself again. I'm Xander, resident ex-Angel of the team, to you humans. I used to be Xaphan, but I don't go by that anymore, and don't you ever call me that either." If the two humans showed any sign of recognition when he spoke his angel's name, he didn't see it. "By that same notion, don't pray to me either, or expect me to bless you or your family. I can't, that's why I'm 'fallen,' and also why I haven't left this dump of a planet already." It was a hell of an introduction, but Xander was confident they'd get from it that they do not mess with him, his team, or his only chance of returning home.

 Valery Mosinn
Seductive Siren Valery leaned against the wall as Xander did his usual bad-tempered act. She rolled her eyes at his bitching and briefly contemplated weaving a song of contentment so that he would stop being so grumpy, but decided against it. If the humans couldn't handle Xander, they certainly wouldn't be able to take on the hoards of enemies that they would inevitably face.
She heard Raguel's cue and moved over to stand next to Xander on his left. The others moved into place also, and together, they filed in. Raguel made introductions as they did, and Valery looked over the two humans with interest. She sat down at the table without saying anything, though her eyes stayed firmly fixed on the humans. They looked like mere children to her, but she refrained from commenting on that. They had been chosen for a reason, whatever it might be
Xander introduced himself again, and she glanced sideways at his thinly veiled rudeness.
"Good lord, Xander, you sound like you woke up with a porcupine for a bedmate this morning. Are you capable of even pretending to be polite?"
It was a comment meant to antagonize the former Angel, and she didn't wait for a response. Instead, she put her elbows up on the table and leaned forward, saying "Raguel made an overgeneralization about me when he introduced me as a Faerie. It's a bit like having you two walk in and saying 'Ah, look, two humans!' To be more precise, I'm Va'laria'lutgur'lian to Moshi'ngor'nal, and I'm a Siren."
Her name rolled off her tongue with impossible ease, and she got a kick out of seeing the two newcomer's faces when she said it. Only a Siren could manage the proper pronunciation. Even Raguel hadn't bothered to make the attempt, though he'd managed John's name just fine.
"Of course, I don't expect you to be able to even spell that, so it's alright if you call me Valery or Val."
She smiled at the boy and girl, and wondered just what was so special about these two.

yours t r u l y -- x3 Lenora { c н α я ι т ץ } Lenora was leaning casually against the wall in the hallway across from John, beside Xander. She smirked at his observation, knowing that even if the huamns were the most capable beings, Xander would still be skeptical of them. Xander's emotions always felt the strongest to her, despite the fact that he was the oldest and should have been the most world-weary of them. His bitterness and his resentment was familiar to her now. "Xander, you silly thing, don't call them ninnies until we've met them. If they get themselves killed, then we can call them ninnies." Lenora's voice, when she spoke, was playful for the typically sharp-tongued vampire, but she meant what she said. Getting themselves killed was a very real possibility for all of them, and much more so for two fragile humans. Lenora questioned Raguel's decision to give them two humans to work with. She thought a few more supernatural beings would have been much more useful. Those of the supernatural realm were just more hardy than these humans who could have been made of paper. But now Raguel was signalling their entrance and Xander was walking in. Lenora hung back, entering the room last so that she could taste the atmosphere once everyone was settled.
The four walked in and seated themselves around the table. Lenora nodded good-bye to Raguel as he left, grateful to him for vouching for her. Many people were afraid of vampires, and those who weren't were thoroughly skeptical of one who wanted to fight on His side. It was a situation that Lenora had had to deal with more than a few times before. She had gotten used to the doubt and the mistrust and the fear. But she was a vampire and that wasn't going to change. At least she was trying to do some good.
Xander, of course, introduced himself first. He was brusque and obviously wanting to be finished with the whole business. Valery spoke next and Lenora suppressed the urge to roll her eyes. It was in Valery's nature to beguile and bedazzle and she did both things very successfully, her lovely Fae name flowing smoothly from her tongue. Lenora introduced herself next, knowing that John would likely prefer more time to analyze and assimilate to the new recruits. "As he said, my name is Lenora. The others will occasionally call me Nora, for short, but until you are more familiar with me and with us, I'd rather you refer to me by my full title." She smiled dangerously, purposefully revealing two wicked fangs, not even at their full length. "I'm the vampire. And yes, we do exist. But don't worry your pretty little heads, I gave up human blood 275 years ago."
Let them chew on that, Lenora thought, settling back to be a spectator. Lenora liked to watch from the background and taste the atmosphere. She was slow to act now, after centuries of life, and she knew the value of patience. She looked over at John, oddly fond of the awkward shape-shifter. He often looked uncomfortable in his own body and Lenora liked to help him along, if he needed it.

'I don't think I've ever had a dream as vivid as that one' thought Alessandro restlessly, rising from his bed, trying to comprehend what had just happened. His palms pulled at the sheets, fingers curved. No, this kind of dream has never happened before. Usually filled with events that strung him from beach to mountainside, he had never felt the kind of sensation that this particular dream had. Weightless, floating above the earth like that of a bird. But that was not what boggled his mind, it was rather the man who was in that dream. That handsome, elegant being of an- wait a second, he said something, didn't he? 'I am an angel of God', God, really? Alessandro's brows furrowed, trying to make sense as if there were any to begin with. He looked down at his blanket and mustered a sort of surprised, yet knowing smile, "an angel of God himself visited me last night in a dream", as if stating it would make all his doubt disappear. And, funny as it may have been, actually did do the trick.
Even though he wasn't in that beautiful dream, he still felt like he was on air, one might have called him 'twinkle toes' just for the fun of it. He ran through the dream one more time, just to make sure he hadn't spent too much time reading testimonials or something. Alessandro had an ability? Chosen for something...extraordinary. Blessed with a special gift? So many questions, yet it happened in one dream. Just as the mysterious angel had said, there was a sheet of clean white printing paper with an address neatly written onto it. He needed help...and Alessandro could actually do something about it this time! Everything he had been told in the past was real! God was an actual omnipotent being actually sending an angel to him! Alessandro got up from his bed and walked towards his closet, knowing that he didn't have much time to waddle away thinking about the dream although it did amaze him a whole lot.
Putting on a white blouse and hiding it with a pea coat along with a blue scarf to greet the harsh cold morning was what Alessandro had liked in his clothing. It was tough, durable yet surprisingly 'fab' as he recalled one girl saying while he walked past. Some nice ironed slacks would do nice with brown Italian loafers. Oh no, what was he thinking!? He shook his head in shame and ran towards the bathroom, brushing his teeth as furiously as he could, brushing his bedhead at the same time. As soon as he felt his mouth was as cold and fresh as the mountain's peak he spat out the remaining bubble of the toothpaste and rinsed his face with cold water. His hair was nice now, even though his routine hair gel and mousse made it all the more worthy, he just didn't have the time.
Now to clothing! Pulling on a new set of boxer briefs and then his clean black socks, he managed to slide his black slacks up against his tanned calves and soon notched a belt closed and sighed with relief. The white blouse came next, the style reminded him of a farmer's attire on the acres of land, a V-Neck down from a straight line of fabric. After the blouse was on his upper body he pulled the pea coat from his bed and put it on as well, creating a very styled and elegant design. He pushed the scarf into the coat as well, feeling the soft woolen fabric against his covered chest and then slipping on his brown loafers. He stole the sheet with the imprinted address and stuffed it into his coat pocket. Grabbing his bag he was out the door in a manner of minutes feeling as fresh as the Winter's dew.
School was bland, as any other day was. The all too familiar periods running from class to class, avoiding cliques gathering in the hallways and trying to keep himself awake from even the most monotonous instructor. But soon the day came to an end and Alessandro was all too eager to go to the address and see what 'help' was needed. It's not like an opportunity came every day for people like Alessandro, and it was going to be fun he felt. If not anything, it peaked his interest to see if he was going to meet the same man he saw in his dream, that would be more than extraordinary for him.
He approached the coffee shop with some hesitation, unsure of what to make of this. 'The angel told me to get this paper, and this address listed doesn't seem...all what I have expected.' Alessandro pouted in slight confusion, raising his palm to the dirtied glass and peering inside to see that- people? Alessandro's brows seemed to furrow again with his jaw open in shock. Who would come here?! With apprehensive steps, he pushed the door open, a ear wrenching squeak coming from the hinges of the door frame, it was obvious this place was taken care of once in a century. A swallow of saliva went down Alessandro's throat as he made his way up to the counter to ask if this indeed, was the place he was looking for.
Being so scared and confused Alessandro hadn't really looked at the any of the customers lounging around, just stood, as before with sweat beading off his eyebrows now, what if this was just a scam, what if they beat him up in a dark alley! There were certainly enough people to do that, for sure! He felt his saliva going down the back of his throat as he stood unsure. But after a voice called out to him, his spine sent up a shock of adrenaline, paralyzed and too scared to move, but his voice reassured him- that same harmonious and kind soprano. He...thanked him. The Angel of God, or informally known as Raguel thanked Alessandro. he had never heard words like this come from such a divine being, the closest thing he ever came to having something so pure thank him was the thankful bark of a dog he found lost in the woods and brought back to its 5-year old owner with tears. The dog, thrashing happily about in its owner's arms whined in thanks and even stared Alessandro in the eye for a straight second before going back to lick its crying owner with its large pink, yet rose-like tongue. Alessandro had been thanked by the girl and parents dozens of times before leaving the property, but the only thing that meant anything was just that full-forced stare of that big almond colored eye that belonged to the small Corgi. This man, Raguel had that same sort of thankfulness, he just wasn't a four-legged dog. Following Raguel like (oh the repetitiveness) a puppy, not noticing the blonde woman so close to him- if he would have caught that she was going the same place as he - meaning that she, too was following Raguel he would have made a nice gesture of greeting and would have introduced himself.
He waited. Nothing happened but Raguel's shuffling books around in the shelf, then stopped. Alessandro was about to protest when the wall moved, or rather...the bookcase moved. Alessandro was baffled to say in the least, it's not like this happens in everyday life but more so in movies with all those secret entrances. And just like all those movies, lights turned on. Not just the standard lamps in homes, but like LED lights stuck in the wall. It made a nice touch. Raguel was moving now, and Alessandro had a hard time figuring where he was going, but after a second's notice he sat down on the left side of the table, nearest to the edge if he needed a quicker getaway. Raguel's voice was now firmer, stronger and yet eloquent as he informed the two about the previous belief of mythical beings just being...mythical, such was not the case. He then spoke of Angels and Demons, and Alessandro began to reflect on all those childhood movies, myths, legends, rumors of haunted house and monster wandering the streets late at night, devouring children as they went along. Raguel went on about his and the apparent blonde's duty, Alessandro felt obligated to be quite proud of himself and shared a small smile to himself.
The 'Team' seemed normal at first glance, but if you stared long enough, and knew what exactly was going on, these people seemed more than exceptional to be in said team. He first glanced at the male, the one with the bi-colored eyes, he was as fidgety as a young puppy exploring a new home or park. Alessandro liked him, maybe they might become friends. Next was the buxom silky-haired mistress, short but had a fairly visible curve factor. The other Blonde, the one who seemed so dis-attached and bored, and had very pale skin. He didn't think he had much chance of bonding with this lady. Now the last man, the one who loathed every second of this 'welcome mat' of a preliminary meeting looked the most easiest to be more of a lone wolf type. Raguel was speaking again, giving these males and females an introduction! 'Finally, a name to a face' Alessandro thought thankfully. The man who seemed prone to seizures was John-something or other, the buxom female was Valery-long name with a long last name, the Blonde zombie was Lenora, apparently. The name had less of an effect however, leading no spark of imagination, a bland name to fit a seemingly bland woman. The man who was leaning as before, the one who didn't like anything- Xander. Xander was such a posh name, but yet fairly over-marked as a great name rather than something so...dull.
As Raguel was leaving, Alessandro turned in his chair and broadly spoke out a thank you before turning back towards the table, he hadn't noticed the flash of golden leading to Raguel's exit, as he was more interested in talking to these unique people who possessed amazing strengths. Alessandro was beaming with new-found interest to speak to these men and women, learn their history as he had done with various guards in Italy as a child. The man whom Raguel had named Xander spoke, changing his mind on his previous impression on the two. "Well, grazi Xander, you don't look like a ninny either" Alessandro said with a coy grin. Xander began to speak. apparently he was an Angel in the 'past life', he didn't look it though. Xander had made it very sure that he wasn't a shrine to pray to, a being to be regarded as holy or divine, or heck even a nice person. As he was finishing, the woman who was Valery spoke up, Alessandro quietly thanking her for her behavior check towards Xander. Now Valery leaned in towards the two, correcting the whole 'faerie' business. Apparently she was a Siren, and to Alessandro's opinion, it sounded much more cooler than 'faerie'. "It's a pleasure to meet you Valery," said Alessandro with a thanking nod. Clearing his throat Alessandro began to speak, "I am Alessandro Altomonte, I would say it's a hard name to deal with, somewhat like yours, but it's nothing like it. I don't think you can even create a nickname to go with my heavily Italian name, sadly, but call me what you will, anything will suit me." The deathly pale female spoke next, as if this was some sort of conference, but it was not so- more of a 'get to know you' type of thing, like in Elementary school. Lenora spoke about herself, not giving the slightest tinge of insecurity to Alessandro, her face was much more scarier with those teeth than her actual devouring human blood was. But she said she was off of it, so somewhat...it relieved him. he didn't say anything but a few almost verbal nods as she spoke, and one after she was finished.
He had waited for the bi-colored male to say something, give a greeting or at least a raise of the arm to gesture peace or something, but I guess Alessandro would have to wait.

derp✧Johnikliathen "JOHN" Sherledismithrhett✧derp shape-changer || awkward || 387 || intelligent || current mood:: NERVOUS ⊗⊗⊗⊗
⇨John was in the hallway, his bi colored eyes studying the ceiling. His adams' apple bobbed as he nervously swallowed, caught in a little whirlwind of worst case scenarios. What if the puma comes out? No wait, a lion. Or a grizzly bear, What if.... or... A million crisises ran through his head, each one worst than the last. He blocked out the others chatter, as he leaned on the wall and slowly let himself fall towards the floor. As he landed, he sighed. He was probably the most anxious, as it was when meeting new people. He mentally chastised himself, though he knew it didn't help his frantic mind. He didn't know how he would react to the others. The hardest person to adjust to was Xander by far, the easiest probably Charity.
He nervously tossed a bright red apple in his hand, catching it fluently. He was practically constantly eating. It's hard to feed over 5,000 animals within you. The repetitive sound of him catching the apple kind of helped him, though the scenarios still whirled around with volatile speeds. He was only truly snapped out of it when the door opened, he jumped a bit, going from sitting to standing in less than a second. He calmed down when he just saw that it was the door sliding, the light flooding in. AGH... the smell of unfamiliar humans always set him more on edge, if even possible. He walked in toward the back, by Charity. He glanced around, taking in the humans. He walked over to the closest bean-bag chair to the door, and farthest from the humans.
He listened as everyone made their introductions, though he paid no attention. His mismatched gaze traveled between the humans, the scenarios, curiosity, nervousness, and anticipation swirled through his head at top speed. He didn't notice until the room was silent, and he realized it was kind of his turn. John coughed a bit, and started out slow. He had an untraceable accent, sort of British, though with a bit of Russian thrown in. "Hullo, I'm... John. Well, Johnikliathen Sherledismithrhett. But John is fine. I'm, uhm, a shape... changer... kind of. I can't change into other beings, or like a lamp or something. I can change into animals, from anything to a grizzly bear to... uh... an ant. An ant is kind of useless, though. So, i don't know... why... -- Anyway, yes, there is, kind of, a pretty good-ish chance that I might, maybe, turn into some sort of weird animal hybrid thing.... and attempt to, ah... kill you all... well that chance.. is kind of like 15.67824 out of, uh, 41.49186... well that's a bit dismal..... but there IS a good chance i won't, too, so, uh, that's... good. " He said this all a bit haltingly, obviously doing the math in his head. He trailed off, the tips of his ears turning a bit red. John was rather horrible at introductions. He cleared his throat a bit, and sunk into the bean bag chair, the apple forgotten in his hand.
John mentally face palmed, though he knew he had had much worse introductions.
