The room was almost silent, if it were not for the clicks of a girl with blue lock's shoes, clicking against the marble floor as she slid the door to the lab open, not finding what she'd expect from a lab. Instead of cold and professional, she found it had emitted a certain warmth. The bottles stacked were piled neatly in an orderly fashion that she was sure that anyone practicing some formulas would be able to find the solutions and chemicals which were required as easily as folding a piece of A4 paper. Her strapless black dress clung to her body as her long hair touched the ground, despite the fact that she had tied them into high ponytails. Upon her head as a clip that appeared to be a miniature top hat with a red ribbon circling and bringing the black hat to life.
Though her clothing exposed much of her luminous, peachy pale skin, she felt fine even with the gazes full of perversion she had earned from the way she dressed. Sapphire's ocean blue eyes seemed to gaze upon every nook and cranny of which made up the lab. Grabbing a white lab coat and a pair of safety glasses, she proceeded with finding the adequate materials, grabbing a few test tubes, chemicals, beakers and flasks, she placed them on the table and began her experiment, watching as she began to create new poison. Pouring a bit of it into what looked like a dummy to test the danger of the liquid, Sapphire seemed amused when it had reached such a high frequency of dangerous. Pressing down upon a button to expel the liquid into a conical flask she dropped a bit into a tray where she began to formulate an antidote for the poison.
From the dummy, it had told her of the effects it could have to a Meister's and even a weapon's body if it were to be breathed in through gas, drunken and injected into the body. Though it wouldn't be fatal to a witch, it would take effect on her until her magic had expelled the poison from her body, leaving her healthy once again. It was all written neatly in a shimmering baby blue book in the neatest, writing in blue pen. It explained how to make it, which chemicals would be used, the effects on the bodies and then on the page next to it, would be the antidote for the deadly poison that she had created, though she had a few failures. Washing it all away she made sure to leave no trace of it, before writing the rest of her notes into the blue book. Immersed in her discovery, she wouldn't of noticed if anyone had walked in. Only a life lived Kazuo walked into the lab and smiled a bit once he noticed the room was dead quiet. 'Perfect,' He thought to himself. His smile disappeared after he saw a girl with long ocean blue hair in a black strapless dress. Kazuo rolled his eyes and grabbed a pair of goggles, a lab coat, and a science book. Being a stereotypical loner he is, he instantly chose a seat that was closest to the wall and away from the blue-headed girl. The boy doesn't have anything against this girl, it's just that he hates being around people. Though, he might have to get used to ONE person since he needs a partner to become a Death Scythe. Kazuo sighed as he put on his coat and goggles.
The boy rested his cheek on his left hand while he just aimlessly browse through the book, trying to think of little experiment to do. Everything in the book was boring, old experiments he did in elementary and middle school. Ones he didn't do were "safe" and mundane ones. 'Something father would make me do...' Kazuo pondered. Out of frustration, he groaned and slammed the book with his fist. Idiotically, he placed the book on the edge of the desk, so it fell. Kazuo sighed once more and went to pick up the book. The boy placed the book back on his desk and read the page it fell to. It had shown a walk through on how to set metals on fire without melting it for a long period. With nothing else to do, he got up and went to go get some supplies from the shelves.
As soon as he got all the supplies he needed, Kazuo quickly went back to seat, in hopes that the girl wouldn't notice him. He measured each ingredient precisely with great caution and slowly poured them together. Looking back at the book to see it was the same color mixture, he was quite satisfied with himself. To test it out, he got a small metal rod, poured a bit of the mixture on it, and pulled a lighter to set it aflame. He placed back the bar back down on the board and sat back, relaxed, and watched it burn. The metal bar burned for 5 minutes, then 10, and so on. It seemed like it wasn't going stop anytime soon. Kazuo smiled and mumbled lightly, "This could be useful in battles." He grabbed a tiny bottle, placed the liquid inside of it, and corked it. The black-haired boy sighed of relief and thought of trying it on himself. Smiling devilishly, he turned his left arm into a blade and accidentally, knocked over a beaker. Kazuo looked over the edge of his desk and shrugged. "I'll clean it up after," Kazuo responded before pouring the liquid on his left arm. for others is worth living

Sapphire's head darted from her head as she stared over at a boy she hadn't even notice enter the room, a beaker falling from the table and onto the ground with a smash as the liquid had begun to pour out from it's shattered remains. Sapphire tucked her original formulations for poisons and antidotes into her bag watching as the boy neglected to pick up it's remains and wipe it up, telling himself he'd clean it up later. For when the fact of the matter was, when someone said, later, they didn't really mean it. Still in the lab coat and safety glasses Sapphire walked over to the broom and dust pan, walking back over to the table where he was standing. Dropping to the shattered remains of the beaker as she placed the dust pan on the ground before sweeping the contents on the floor into the pan, dropping it into the trash can.
Taking a cloth she wiped up the mess and smiled at herself before glancing at the weapon, or that was what she assumed he was was him being able to change his arm into a blade. "You know for a weapon, you should know better than to leave sharp glass on the ground for people to step on," she huffed, puffing her cheeks as her blue eyes stared at him. Crossing her sleek arms under her well developed bosom, her dress showed as the lab coat wasn't quite buttoned up, or buttoned at all. Raising a brow she stared at him. When the teachers told me to wait here for my partner, I hadn't expected some random to show up and pour things on his arm.. she thought to herself, brushing a bit of hair from her face.
"I think it'd be mean to call you a weapon, but, my name is Sapphire Kierkegaard, your's is?" she questioned. Seeing as he hadn't approached her to say hello before continuing with his experiment. Sapphire had assumed he was the time who preferred solitude and quiet, though Sapphire enjoyed the same thing, she was a bit more rebellious due to her upbringing. Especially since she knew that sooner or later one of her relatives or more would come into DWMA and attempt to woo in her order to gain her hand in marriage. Honestly, Sapphire thought it was disgusting to marry into their own bloodline, but it had kept the bloodline pure and as strong as ever. Blood manipulation and poison was the trait of my family. Those of the Kierkegaard were nobles and didn't accept commoners, Sapphire did though. She was everything a Kierkegaard wasn't. [Mana Points: 200 // 200 ] [ Overload of Cuteness: ]

Only a life lived Kazuo rolled his eyes and ignored the girl after she had scolded him and introduced her self. He grabbed the lighter and lit his blade on fire. The boy, then, put his cheek onto his right hand this time and watched it burn. Kazuo didn't want to answer her but there was nothing else to do other than to watch his arm burn. "I was going to clean it up afterwards," The black-haired boy retorted quietly, "It wasn't your business to do so." He looked back at his arm to see it was still burning. Not wanting to be around Sapphire that much longer, he walked over to the sink and extinguished the flames.
Kazuo went back to his desk to clean up and mumbled, "My name isn't your concern either..." In a rush to get away from Sapphire, he knocked over more beakers. "Cai deo gi day!" He yelled in Vietnamese. The boy groaned and said quietly, "Sorry. I'll clean it up." before crouching down to pick up the glass and wipe up the excess liquid. Because Kazuo was smart as a whip, he picked up the broken glass without any gloves and cut his finger. "s**t!" Kazuo exclaimed. 'Why, Shinigami? Why did you have to do this to me?' He thought.

Sapphire watched as the boy had completely ignored her warning and sighed as he seemed to speak back at her with a slight irritation in his low, alluring voice of his. Staring into his glowing blue eyes, she then watched as he had begun to pick up the pieces of shattered glass with no gloves on him hands. Sapphire would reach for his hand, taking it in her's as she dabbed it with her handkerchief before placing some bandages around it and securing it safely around his finger, making sure it was thin enough so that he could move his finger around freely whilst thick enough to be able to stop the blood from dripping out and showing up. Placing his fingers to her soft lips she pressed them to his finger as a way to ensure that it'd heal as quickly as it could, though it was nothing more than a mere kiss.
Seconds later, a teacher would walk in, staring at both Sapphire and Kazuo with a wide smirk upon his lips, his vibrant green eyes gleaming with mischief behind his frames as he would walk into the room, arms crossing as his eyes would glance over to Sapphire, then to Kazuo with a smirk upon his lips. "Have you two met before? Good? Because you know what? I picked both your names from a hat and now you're both stuck with each other," the Teacher would say, pushing up his frames as they would glint in the sunlight, staring into his students eyes with expectation and mischief. For some reason, this suggested to Sapphire that she wasn't the first pair to be picked out of a hat. [Mana Points: 200 // 200 ] [ Overload of Cuteness: Sorry for the lateness! Meister/Partner: Sapphire Keirkegaard Only a life lived Before he could say or do anything, Sapphire had wrapped his finger in a bandage and kissed it. Kazuo's face turned as red as a beet. He quickly stood up, careful not to touch the broken glass again, and backed a step away from her. Thankfully, a teacher came in to help avoid the awkward moments. The boy was distraught when the teacher was actually the bearer of bad news. 'Shinigami! Why do you hate me so?!' Kazuo thought to himself. Apparently at this school, they would pick your name out of a hat along with someone else's name and you two would be partner, of course if you already picked your partner beforehand, you wouldn't have to go through this process.
"So we're basically stuck with each other until we graduate?!" Kazuo exclaimed. He sighed and face palmed in frustration. "I can't believe this..." The boy muttered quietly. Kazuo looked back at his new partner. It couldn't be any more cliche that a pretty girl with long, blue hair that touch the ground wearing revealing clothing is paired up with a loner like him. Still complaining, the boy rolled his eyes and looked back at the teacher. "Whatever... I'm out of here..." Kazuo replied while picking up his backpack and leaving the lab. Sapphire gasped as Kazuo had walked off, running after him she was stopped on the way by the Teacher. "Sapphire, Kazuo's a little distant, it might be hard to get him to open up to you.." he spoke, Sapphire sighed and looked up at him with her ocean blue orbs staring at him with a slight hint of irritation. "It doesn't matter, I'll do whatever it takes, I'm his partner after all," she stated firmly, tugging her arm from his grasps and walked from the Lab and into the Hallways to follow Kazuo.
