Cetalese stayed quiet as Ca'mil questioned D'lin's decision and came to a stop near Ca'mil. D'lin's answer was what she had expected from him, so that at least was no surprise. His sudden snap of temper was a surprise, however, and Cetalese's eyes widened very slightly for a moment before her face settled back into its usual expression.

Halith, like Velath, jerked when D'lin suddenly grabbed Eliza and her wings flared half-open instinctively. What was Plexith's doing?!

Cetalesemi--

It's all right. The calm Cetalese was projecting to her dragon soothed the Green into just shifting uneasily on her feet and making a tiny sound of distress. Cetalese watched D'lin's shouting, unmoving, much as Ca'mil was doing nearby. Eliza wasn't a member of their wing, but D'lin knew her as well as any of his wingriders thanks to their early association. It made sense that he would have been concerned for her, even beyond the care a Wingleader should take for any member of the weyr.

When the shouting was done, Cetalese turned and watched D'lin go. Inside, her own emotions were roiling as badly as D'lin's, only she had no outlet for her anger. She didn't lose control the way most did, and she couldn't confront Eliza-- or D'lin. Both of them had thrown her into a panic, and now that the fight was over, Cetalese's body and mind were reminding her of it. Cetalese glanced out of the corner of her eye at Eliza, but Ca'mil was already seeing to her wounds. Cetalese walked past the pair of women, reaching out to squeeze Ca'mil's shoulder as she passed. She slowed her steps as she reached D'lin, not concerned about Plexith's earlier display of dominance toward Velath. Halith had kept her distance, and Cetalese found that she didn't even question whether or not Plexith would object to her being there. If he disliked it, it wouldn't be enough for him to make the displeasure known. And D'lin...

Cetalese stepped up beside D'lin, but gave him his personal space, studying what she could see of the side of his face. She was aware that Eliza and Ca'mil were both present, though for the moment their presence wouldn't hinder her in anything other than being able to express her own distress.

"D'lin." Ceta's voice was soft, her tone demanding nothing and passing no judgement.

Plexith eye's whirling with the emotional turmoil of both the fight and his rider's outburst regarded Ceta as she approached but did not react other then to subtly shift his wings in acceptance. Turning his attention instead to the other dragons, all of them were wounded - except perhaps for Cheryth whom had arrived late. 'Can you both fly? any serious wounds?' He asked both the green's. Now that the reprimand had been given Plexith was willing to let things go as far as all that went.

D'lin was not aware that Ceta was approaching - since Plexith apparently had not felt the need to inform him...thanks Plex, until the sound of his name caught his attention, wiping his face against a sleeve he sighed slightly, braced himself and turned to face her "Yes Ceta?" He answered in a tired voice.

She was probably going to yell at him for shaking Eliza like that - which in retrospect he probably shouldn't have done but well..in the heat of the moment it had seemed like a fine thing to do. Or perhaps she didn't agree with letting the handlers go. Well let her yell or quietly fume then - they'd come out of the fight alive and that was all D'lin really cared about in this precise moment.

Velath having recovered from the bronze's reprimand and her keening only for her riders distress ducked her head slightly and answered 'I can fly...most of the wounds are not deep' She assured the bronze 'Halith I think is worse off'

Ca'mil watched as Ceta approached D'lin and his angry bronze - well she was a braver women then Ca'mil was, D'lin was not typically an angry sort of person but it was clear that the stress of this who experience was bothering him and she herself was going to give him a bit of space while she helped Eliza. "I don't think any bones are broken..but your going to have to rest for a good while" Advice which Eliza took with a small nod.

The nickname only sent another vibration into the ball of panic twisting in her stomach, one only her professionalism prevented her from showing. There was still work to be done, and that meant no time for reflecting.

"There was no 'right' decision for this situation." Her voice was still soft, keeping the conversation relatively private. "I think you chose the one that resulted in the best outcome we could have hoped for in the moment."

Ceta glanced at Ca'mil and Eliza. She dropped her eyes for a moment, and then took a breath that never quiet made it into the sigh it would have become. She hated offering her opinion when it wasn't asked for, although she was much better about her hesitancy these days than she had been before Halith. "Eliza never thinks first, you know that as well as I do. She'll regret her actions now that things have passed. I... understand that it's difficult to watch your friends throw themselves in harm's way, and more difficult to sit idly by, not knowing if they're going to be all right." She studied his eyes, seeing how weary he was. "A Wingleader has to protect the riders of their wing and weyr, as much as they have to protect themselves."

While the conversation between Cetalese and D'lin went on, Halith turned her attention to Plexith. She was startled when she heard Velath's reply and showed it quite openly. I can fly as well as Velath! Halith protested with a bugle, her wings again flaring open. I can still fight. I will not leave you to fight without me. Cetalesemine, tell them I can still fight!

Cetalese glanced briefly to the side in Halith's direction, then returned her eyes to D'lin. She gratefully slipped into the new topic her Green had so inadvertently offered her. Hopefully the change and D'lin's usual obliviousness would work to distract him from continuing the conversation, before Cetalese ran of out of things to say-- or, rather, gave something away that would do more than just hint at Cetalese's own conflicting emotions regarding D'lin's decisions. He didn't need her stress to add to his, not now. Not ever, if nothing came along to prompt the discussion.

"With the handlers out of the way, all of the dragons need medical attention, except for Cheryth."

Halith's wings drooped, as did her head. Cetalesemine!

With S'kor commanding his own group, D'lin was without a Wingsecond, which generally meant he was without someone to help shoulder the burden. Cetalese instinctively stepped in to fill the spot, though she was just a Greenrider and would never have any practical experience with the actual post. "We don't have anything to clean up here, thanks to your solution, nor anyone to drive to the beach. Plexith is a strong lad, but the Greens should have some numbweed placed on their wounds, even if we can't find adequate bandages. Will you let us see to the dragons before we find other revolutionaries to drive to the beach?"

No there was nothing right about this - in fact this entire situation was so far from right that D'lin wasn't even sure how to word it. It was so absurd that he hadn't even considered it possible until it had happened, but it had..and now he had to deal with it.

How much easier fighting thread was, gather his wing, put them in formation and follow the tried and true methods of destroying your enemy..but this..this was utter madness and no one had prepared them for this sort of thing at all. Listening to Cetalese he narrowed his eyes slightly, not in anger at the offering of her opinion but more because he was internally trying to figure out if that was what she really thought or if she was just trying to humor him because he was her Wingleader, he had a feeling that there were some hidden thoughts behind her sentences...but he wasn't sure he had the energy to try and puzzle them out at the moment.

"She would have been torn apart...how could I have forgiven myself, how would yo..." And he let the sentence trail off as the dragons interrupted his train of thought.

'She's right..everyone needs to get looked at..Dragon and human alike" He agreed, speaking loudly so that everyone could hear, almost thankful for the change of topic - though he was pretty sure that this wasn't going to be the end of it. The drive to the beach hadn't gone as planned - what had lately? But at least they had cleared out more of the Wher's and Handlers. Every little bit helped right? He was going to cling to that thought for a while.

"We're going back to get everyone looked at, once we've rested we'll reevaluate where to strike next" There wasn't the option to stop fighting, though he rather wished he could tell them they could all go home and rest and sleep and forget about it all.

Cetalese nodded. "As you say, Wingleader."

Halith.

As she called her dragon, Cetalese went over to Eliza and smiled faintly. "Do you need a hand?" She gestured at Velath, not sure if Eliza had the strength to get a-dragonback on her own.

Halith walked over, making something of a show of being able to do so without showing any injury. She wasn't going to be left behind for a few scratches!

D'lin pursed his lips slightly as she resorted to formality and walked away. There were times he wanted to strangle formality. 'I don't know why it bothers you - it's your rank, you should be called by it' Plexith stated, exasperated as always by his riders desire to keep such things at bay.

'I know that Plexith, it's become very apparent this last little while if it wasn't already' D'lin responded with a slight sigh as she mounted his dragon - a bit slower then normal thanks to his various injuries and waited for the others so that he could lead them back to...camp he supposed.

Eliza glanced up gratefully as Ceta approached, glad that her friend at least seemed to have gotten through the fight without to many new injures. "I think I can hold on..but I'm not sure I can get on" She admitted to her friend as Ca'mil helped her to stand before heading off to mount Cheryth.

"Thank you, Ca'mil," Cetalese said as Ca'mil walked by, smiling briefly at her as well.

Cetalese shook her head when Eliza replied, and began inspecting her fellow Greenrider for her least injured body parts. "Only you, Eliza. Come on, I'll help you up. Velath, could you lower yourself as far to the ground as possible, please? We're going to need to hoist her on, and for that she needs to reach her straps."

"No problem" Ca'mil responded before retreating so that the friend's could have some time. She was reasonably certain that they would be able to handle things on their own. Tucking the club securely into a strap on Cheryth's riding harness she climbed up on her crimson and waited.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Velath warbled in worry and did as asked, flattening herself on the ground as best she could to help her rider. 'Elizamine are you going to be okay?' Her's had taken a good bit of hits from the last fight and she had not been able to do anything about it.

'I'll be fine Velath..just need some rest' Eliza assured her dragon even as she sighed at Ceta "I know..I know..it seemed like a good idea at the time. With Ceta's help and a little bit of shoving Eliza managed to mount her dragon and gritting her teeth she made sure to strap herself in securely, patting Velath on the next "Alright I'm good"

Ceta patted Velath on the side and then jogged back over to Halith, climbing back up to her own seat on Halith's back. She waved quickly to D'lin to let him know she ready and began strapping herself in swiftly.

They could journey back to tend their dragons, but they had to make this quick. The other groups would be driving their revolutionaries to the beach and they would have to make it there to support them.

Halith, please ask Plexith to remind D'lin that this has to be a quick stop, unless he's already told the other groups to abandon the original plan.

Halith did so as they followed the Bronze into the sky and winked between.
