Forever in my mind You're my golden sunshine
Bobbing to his own beat, the golden maned lion roamed the land of rogues. He had a new home now, yes, but he still enjoyed traveling among prideless like the good old days every now and again. And, to be honest, even though Prometheus was now a Pridelander, he still felt like he was part of the Simbafu. Nothing could change that, it was his birthplace.
Continuing onward, his intent now was to get that good ol' rush he used to experience when meeting others. He would collect their ideas, their knowledge and lock it inside his own mind to access at a later time. Knowledge was the key to keeping him and his family safe and also a way to impress others into talking to him. Hah, such a powerful weapon.
Taking a deep breath in, Prometheus caught the scent of another. Someone close, someone new. Just what he needed. Perking his ears and glancing about he finally spotted someone out in the distance, and called out.
"Hello!!"

Mihkokwan had been just dawdling along, tail stretched out and swishing away behind her, ears perked as she hummed a little tune to herself. She of course had nowhere to go, nowhere to be, so it was another one of those 'let's wander and see what kind of fun we can fnid' sorta days. At least the rust-colored female was good at finding the fun in just about everything. So she wasn't often bored, despite the fact that she spent a lot of time by herself. She was sort of skipping every second step, and would occasionally pounce or prance, or spin in a little circle. Mihko didn't care if others watched her while she was being silly, she was perfectly happy with herself and wasn't generally too bothered by what others thought of her.
Distracted from her little tune and her thoughts, Mihko heard the voice of another creature calling to...was it calling to her? It had said hello...where did it come from?! The muscular young lioness glanced about, looking for the source of this greeting, when her gaze crossed a bulky form of a lion, obviously male. She smiled from ear to ear and began moving in his direction instead. "Hello!" She called back excitedly, her eyes lit up in anticipation of meeting this creature. It only made sense to her that he would call out if he was friendly and just looking to make company for a short while, and that made Mihko happy. She had run into some creatures that hadn't seemed too fond of her lately, and she much preferred to make friends.

A wide grin spread over the maw of the paunchy lion, his eyes glittering with anticipation. Not only was this new character a lioness, she seemed rather excited to see him too! It was always easier to learn from a character that wasn't hostile, and even better when they were in good spirits.
As he waited for the lioness to come to him, Prometheus shifted his body to a less intimidating posture. However, for someone to find him scary would be a feat in and of itself. He had gained a bit of weight since finding his new home. He hadn't needed to hunt hard, nor travel far... Nor did he have to truly impress the ladies anymore. Kishi was all he had to care for now.
Sighing happily at the mere thought of her, Prometheus began to daydream. She would be such a good mother when they were ready...
Smiling, almost awkwardly, Prometheus continued to stand there... forgetting about the lioness coming his way.... and even the rogue lands he was currently traveling.

Mihko found it odd how he would call out and then not say anything when he was answered, but nonetheless, she continued on toward him to within a couple yards, which was as close as she wanted to get right now. Though he was smiling and actually seemed completely harmless, Mihko at least knew about personal space. "Hi there." She grinned too, flicking her tail and reclining to her haunches before him. He was sitting, she figured she may as well too. "Are you looking for someone? ....or...anyone?" the rust-colored female giggled, thinking her question to be sort of crafty as it sounded like she was asking the same thing, when really in fact she was not.
The young lioness wiggled a little in place and flicked her ears forward and back and forward again. It was nice to see someone so happy to see her, it had been a while and her last couple of encounters weren't particularly memorable. She shrugged a little to herself, hoping that the male didn't take it as directed at him. He was a nice-looking male, with neat, almost fiery markings, and a very fluffy mane. Sometimes Mihko got jealous of males' manes, as all she had was a little tuft atop her skull. The end of her tail was fairly fluffy and nice though, so it was good compromise, she supposed. He was a little on the bigger side, but that never really mattered too much to someone like her. "You have very neat markings, mister. Yes, you do." She added in a bubbly tone, tilting her head to look at them differently.

Prometheus was in another world, not even realizing the lioness was now just a few feet away from him. He was allowing himself to completely be seized by the daydream. That is, until she commented on his markings. Flicking limeade colored eyes in the direction of the voice, he was met with one strangely contorted rust-colored lioness.
Cocking his own head to the side, Prometheus just stared at the other. She was younger, this he could tell. Her small build and eccentric nature cluing him into this. However...
Scanning the area around him and her, he found no one else. She wasn't travelling with anyone else. Generally younger lioness would... that is, unless they had no one to travel with.
"Thank you... But, are you alone?"

If Mihko hadn't been of such kind-nature, this question of whether she was alone may have struck a nerve. As it was, however, it didn't bother her. She wasn't often met with surprise at being along out here in the grasslands, but it was always possible that this male also belonged to a pride, with a mate and a family. She had been running into a lot of family-bound creatures lately it seemed. "I'm always alone." She said, smiling at him and flicking her tail. It didn't really hurt as much as it used to- that she was alone. Mihko had gotten used to it, and she got by. A creature she had met not long ago had told her as long as she was alive she was doing fine, and the rust-colored lioness made a point to remember this, as it made plenty of good sense.
"I haven't a mate or a family or anything of that sort. Actually, I haven't even a pride." She added. This male seemed nice, so she didn't mind telling him. It didn't seem as if he had asked because he may corner and attack her or anything like that, so Mihko didn't worry about answering him. Bright blue eyes continued to examine his interesting markings. She hadn't seen many other creatures with such intricate markings.

Prometheus watched every twitch the young lioness made while she answered him. He didn't want to ignore her untold feelings like he used to. As she smiled, Prometheus smiled as well, but shook his head at her.
"You are wrong. You are not always alone, after all, would you call this meeting being alone?" Limeaid eyes looked to the sky, catching sight of a pair of birds. "... and look there. Those two are also watching..." Looking back to the lioness, Prometheus smiled again. "So never say you are always alone."
Lifting himself into a standing position, Prometheus twitched his tail. He didn't enjoy hearing that at all. He knew the hurt of loosing a family, and a pride. But never having one... That was something he couldn't even fathom. Even as a seeker for his old pride, he had a goal and a home to come back to. To wander aimlessly....
"Would you like to come with me to my pride then? If only for a week or two. Meet more, learn more and rest. I too used to wander the lands of the rogue before I found the Pride Lands with my mate." Looking to the ground suddenly, Prometheus held his tears back.
"Not everything is honey and sunshine here. I assume you know this much. However, unless you have a goal or someone to travel with, right now is not a good time to be moving around. The hyenas have been vicious as of late."
Shifting again, he awaited the younger lioness' reply. He wasn't going to force her, however... Kishi and him could help her... and it was true about the hyenas. They have been attempting to kill anything in their path as of late. He had passed a poor cubs carcass, mauled. It reminded him that death was truly relentless it it's pursuits.

Mihko was slightly surprised by what seemed like a sudden influx in emotions with this male. She, in turn, watched his reactions and facial expression as well. Her tail flicked behind her as she listened intently to his words...to his offer. It made her kind of sad, what he was saying about not being alone, but at the same time it brought a comforting warmth to her heart to think about it. He was right, there was always other creatures around, even if she was by herself at the time. "You're right." She said, smiling a little, her eyes lighting up at this.
As he offered for her to come back to his lands with him, Mihko saw that he had tears in his eyes, but she made a point of trying to act like she hadn't noticed as he looked down at the ground. "Really...?" She questioned quietly. The rust-colored lioness had never been invited to be cared for and become part of something before, she was having a hard time believing it. Although she knew that he meant it in earnest, it didn't seem a willy-nilly offer. "I...I think that would be nice. I've never been around families before...I've never really seen pride lands." She shuffled her paws and looked down at the ground herself. This was a huge thing to consider, but how could she say no?
Mihko knew all about hyenas, too. She had had her own run-ins with them throughout her life, and not all of them had been nice or pleased to meet her. Considering the fact that she didn't have a real idea of exactly where she was this seemed valid information, and again- young Mihko was being offered protection. "Yes...I would love to. Thank you..." She trailed off, tears coming to her own eyes. "I'm sure you have a lovely home and family" Blue eyes smiled just as bright as the soft smile she offered the other lion.

Prometheus could feel his heart skip a beat at her acceptance of his proposal, and as it sunk in, his heart steadied. If anything, she could learn to be stronger, make friends in the pride and have something to eat. It would be good for the young lioness, he was almost one hundred perfect certain of it.
"I promise you, you will not come to regret your decision. If anything, this will help you grow." His voice was calm as he stood there watching the younger lioness. He had already taken a liking to her and probably would come to think of her as an adoptive daughter if she did stay for a long period of time.
Moving closer suddenly to the rust colored lioness, Prometheus pulled the younger girl into a soft embrace and smiled. He couldn't bear to see her cry, even if it was partially his fault for doing so as well.
"Are you ready?"Sarei Stargazer Tag, we could end it with her going with, or I could end it after your post. :]

Mihko sobbed only a few moments longer as her mind cycled through so many thoughts and emotions. She hadn't meant to cry, really- Mihko was such a positive creature most of the time, but she had been overwhelmed by this outreach of what moments ago was a perfect stranger, but who now felt definitely like a friend. Maybe family...but Mihko had never had a family, so she couldn't really know.
When he embraced her, she leaned into him, her tears damping his fur from her cheek pressed to his shoulder. The rust-colored lioness heaved a heavy sigh, her breath faltering midway, and pulled away from him. She smiled and blinked a few remaining tears from her eyes. "Yes. Thank you." Mihko said quietly, nodding at him and sniffling a little bit. The slight young lioness lifted a paw and wiped her muzzle with it, then shuffled her paws and flicked her tail. "So are you gonna tell me all about it on the way there, or am I just gonna have to wait and find out?" The orange-furred female chuckled softly, looking over at him, her eyes bright again.

Holding still as the lioness cried, Prometheus closed his eyes. He had to stay strong for this young one. Everyone needed someone to cry on on occasion, and he was fine with being that person for her now.
As she heaved a heavy breath, lemonade colored eyes looked down at her. Studying her face, making sure things were alright, and as she pulled away he smiled again, sad, yet happy. She still had tears in her eyes, even after she wiped most of them away, lifting a paw her softly moved the rest away.
"There we are, you look better when you are shining brightly." Smirking, he waited for her to speak. The excitement now showing her on features.
"Well, I think I will keep it a secret." A joking tone in his voice as he picked himself up. Winking he started moving. "Or.... maybe we can talk about it on the way there. You are just going to have to catch me first!" Suddenly the lion lurched forward, a playful expression on his face as his youth bled back into his personality.
