On another Earth...what if...
An asteroid hurtles towards a prehistoric world ruled by dinosaurs. Large and violent creatures rule the air, land, and sea but their rule is about to change. The asteroid devastates the planet, causing mass extinctions of the rulers of Earth.
But what if not all of those creatures died? On another Earth, the prehistoric monsters that stalked the seas survived. Megalodons, kronosaurs, and other prehistoric animals prevented mankind from creating fleets of ocean-going vessels. How would humans learn to travel to far away lands? What could they do?
The answer came when they looked to the sky. After many centuries of inventing various flying machines that never got off the ground, mankind created steam-based airships. Humans spread out from their home and discovered new lands. In one such land, a fight for freedom was about to begin.
In 1776...
The American colonies had enough of the British and rebelled against the Empire that ruled their homes. At first, the Americans rebels won a string of fantastic victories against a small and poorly supplied British army. But soon, the British Royal Air Fleet arrived and the tide of the war changed.
The American airships were no match for their British counterparts and the rebels were pushed westward. With their supply lines pushed to the brink, the British let the rebels flee into the wilds, effectively ending the American Revolution.
The British Empire tightened their hold over the colonies and increased the presence of the Royal Air Fleet in the New World to prevent another uprising. Meanwhile, the American rebels settled with their families along the eastern bank of a mighty river that they named the Mississippi. The Americans began to build cities and improve their own airships so they once again could challenge the British for control of the continent.
It is now 1812...
Rumors of war in the American colonies has once again began to swirl. For years, border clashes and raids between the American rebels and the British Empire had persisted but nothing more. To make matters more confusing, air pirates have taken control of the lands south of the British colony of Georgia. The air pirates used the chaos of the raids between the two factions to prey on shipping and towns up and down the Borderlands.
It is the eve of the Second American Revolution. Will the British Empire finally crush the American rebels underfoot? Will the rebels sweep the Redcoats from the continent and claim their independence? Will the air pirates take a side or continue their plundering ways? Only time would tell....

Three factions rule the continent of North America. The British Empire- Ruling from the country of England across the Atlantic ocean, the British Empire is THE superpower in this part of the world. They have the most powerful fleet of airships, the most advanced technology, and the best trained military in the land. The British are highly organized but their adherence to rules and customs was also a weakness. They control all thirteen of the colonies and are not beyond terrorizing the populace to get what they want. And what they want is to destroy the dirty American Rebs so they can expand into the West. The American Rebels- Many Americans fled to the West at the end of American Revolution. The Americans were only loosely organized and quarreled for several year before a ruling government could be created. But since then, the Rebels had concentrated building cities and a fleet of airships. The Rebels lack the manpower and technology of their British enemies but they make up for in passion and knowledge of the Disputed Border. Nothing will stand in their way of sweeping the British Imperials from their homes. Air pirates- Pirate Florida...never has their been a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. The air pirates have no government and want no government. Only the strong or wily are able to survive these lands. Their ships and technology are plundered from their enemies so it's always a crapshoot on what you will face when an air pirate ship is bearing down on you. The best way to survive an air pirate attack is to surrender immediately and have plenty of rum on hand. God help you if the rum is gone...

Information of the New World
After the failed American Revolution, several places were renamed. The British thought that this would tie the loyal colonists closer to England.
Maine became New Cumbria Connecticut became New Devon Massachusetts became New Somerset Vermont became Cornwallis(in honor of the British general who led the British to victory in the colonies.) Rhode Island became Edwards Island(in honor of the Duke of Kent and King George's son.)
Philadelphia was named the capital of the Imperial British Colonies and renamed New London. New Amsterdam never adopted the name New York City.
Airship info 1 knot is one nautical mile per hour.
Sloop of War/Royal Sloop- Small, fast, and maneuverable, the War Sloop is a popular pirate ship. It carries a max crew of 125 and a max of 20 cannons.
Brig- Brigs are larger, sturdier, and better armed than a sloop but they lack the smaller ships speed and maneuverability. Max crew of 200 and max cannons of 32. These ships are favored by pirate hunters.
Merchantman- These are common mid-sized trading vessels. Sturdy but slow, they are lightly armed(16 cannons max) and lightly manned(125 souls.) These are easy prey for pirates or enemy forces if unescorted.
Frigates- No pirate has captured an intact frigate of any size. American and British captains scuttle these ships if they ever in danger of being taken, which is not often. Frigates are the warships of choice for the Americans and the British. Due to their massive size, frigates boast the highest top speeds, the best armor. the most cannons, and most crew in either fleet. Their weaknesses are their maneuverability and slow acceleration. There are three types of frigates:
Frigate- The smallest frigate can hold a max crew of 200 and 32 cannons, War Frigate- The larger frigates can hold a max crew of 250 and 40 cannons. Ship of the Line- These are the most powerful airships. Absolute monsters, they sport a crew of 300 and a whooping 48 cannons.

McPowell was exiled to the American colonies and given the task to hunt down air pirates. Upon reaching New London(formerly known as Philadelphia), McPowell received a commission in the Royal Air Fleet and was assigned a sleek war sloop. After gathering a crew, McPowell renamed the ship after his love, Clarice Ferguson. The Purple Lady would chase the air pirates from the skies of the Borderlands.

Characer name: Jackson "Jack" Horner Sex: Male Age: 31 Faction: American Rebels Appearance: First off, his hair. It's incredible. The longest, most luscious locks you've ever seen. He brushes that shiz until it shines like gold, and most people would agree it's more valuable. In fact, everyone agrees. And if you don't agree, you're a total moron. His eyes are two things chicks really dig, and they spend hours staring into them. Which is cool as long as they're undressing while they do it. He's super muscley, like BAM here I am all ripped and ready to be awesome in your presence. He's probably 6' tall, weighs 170, but he'll be damned if that's not all muscle. He's such a good looking guy it hurts.Personality: Only the best personality around. Suave, charming, did he say intelligent? Well, smart...ish. Kind of. Whatever, not like brains matter when you're this good looking. Besides, he's really lucky, and luck will take you anywhere. Pretty much everything is coming up Jack, and he's ok with that. Because everything should come up Jack. He's super important and if you don't get that, you're an idiot. Career: Captain of the S.S. HECK YEAH AMERICA Backstory: Ok, so these British people suck. All they do is talk in their hoity toity voices and drink tea. They're all proper, and they don't know how to party. And they're all about their King, which is stupid. Why would anyone want to worship that lardass? Have you seen him? His hair is receding, and he's all out of shape. Seriously, America doesn't need some pussnut King telling it who is Boss. So when some of the Americans were like, "Peace out bro!", Jack took his fancy airship and said, "EAT IT LIMEYS!" and he peaced out too. BOO YAH BRITAIN. PREPARE FOR JACK, THE EPIC HERO OF AMERICA.

Character name: Quentaine
Sex: Male
Age: 30
Faction: British RAF, retired
Appearance(desc or pic): The literal redheaded stepson, Quentaine has shock-red hair that tends to stick up on its own if it's not strictly greased back. He has dark brown eyes that betray a more Native American ancestry. Never seeming to be wanting for money, he dresses as a gentleman of the British colonies would be expected to dress.
Personality: Since his return to British society, Quentaine is notorious as a merry drunkard who travels from social to social, drinking and making merry with his former RAF colleagues.
And then, when darkness falls and the parties disperse, he puts on a disguise and robs them blind. Quentaine is the mask now; his true identity is the notorious outlaw the Black Wolf.
Career: 11 years service with the RAF. Retired 6 years ago. 5 years spent in American Prison. One year unaffiliated since.
Backstory: Quentaine ran away from a provincial farm family at the age of 13 and, lying about his age, enlisted in the RAF training facility known as the Blue Scale Academy. They discovered that he had one talent they could take advantage of - perfect recall, an eidatic memory. Quentaine was enrolled in a private training program to become part of the RAF's Secret Force...a tight-knit group of highly trained operatives whose primary mission was spying, infiltration and espionage of the American forces.
Six years ago, Quentaine attempted to retire from the RAF following an incident known only as "Milwaukee Falls." He was coerced to go on one final mission by his five closest teammates; a mission to smuggle something unknown away from the American forces to the British side. In the course of that escapade, Quentaine was abandoned by his team to the mercies of American prison, where he sat for five years, never able to forget. Since then, he has been plotting his revenge against anyone he feels has wronged him in his life...wrongs he can never get past.
