Nathaniel's limo pulled up to the warehouse district in the near dead of night. No one would know they were ever there, mainly because he owned the facility and ordered everyone to vacate the premises for a set time period so that he could have absolute privacy with the good doctor. The limo's headlights found the doctor and shined down upon him, and the limo driver, who didn't seem to be a limo driver at all, but a holographic auto-driver, disappeared. The back door opened, and out stepped the always immaculately dressed Nathaniel Kelvin, standing tall and observing the doctor from a distance, reading his body language, the environment, everything, determining if it was safe to approach. He deemed it so, and he shut the door hard, stepping purposefully towards his head scientist who stood next to one of his warehouses. His steely eyes gazed upon the doctor, almost looking through him, always analyzing his men, even if he had known them for years.
"What do you have?"

  Viktoria knew she should be happy- grateful, even- that the boy she'd been sent to kill had made it to safety but the happiness she should have felt was overcome by the dread of being recognized by the younger Kelvin. She had taken on a different form when she assumed the role of his almost assassin but would he be as perceptive as Alicia had been and recognize her, even though she was back in her natural state? Viktoria groaned as she buried her face in her hands and shook her head in reaction to the news Alicia had given her. What about all the other mutants that she'd brought safely to the doors of the Jean Grey School? Viktoria should be happy to see her kind in such safe hands as the X-Men but she didn't know which would be thankful for the deliverance or which would hold deep-seated anger for nearly being killed or having to watch those she couldn't save die at her hands, not understanding what her intentions were. She exhaled sharply after a moment or two before she met her friend's gaze, knowing that Alicia would want to know why this upset her so.
"This is not good. No, not at all. Alicia, what if he recognizes me? Of course you noticed me; we grow up together but I have no way of knowing if he'll pick me out of a crowd so easily. Out of all those that I have saved and delivered into the safekeeping of this institution, Nick has the power to follow through with what his father started. I...I don't know. Alicia, I'm scared."

"Viktoria..." Alicia struggled with the right words. She knew Nick was a wild-card, but after what happened today, for some reason, she couldn't help but trust him, even if her brain told her not to.
"I know you, you know, he's an ex-Purifier...but he saved our lives today, and we saved his. He's lived his whole life to try and eradicate mutants, and now, his life has been turned upside down. He risked his life to save ours, even if it was just a means to an end to make sure that psychopath was off the streets. He didn't have to, but he did. I'm thinking...if you explain things to him the best you can, if you tell him you got burned by his father the same as he did...we might be able to work together like a team, and there doesn't have to be any hostility."

"I'll try, Alicia, but..."
Viktoria knew exactly how pathetic she sounded remaining in doubt about Nick despite all her friend's efforts to convince her to the contrary. In any other situation, she might believe what her friend was telling her because she trusted her but this was different. Viktoria had come within inches of death only hours before and her brain was still rattled from having to fight off her almost assassins then fleeing for her life so her rationale was almost to be expected. She let out a sigh as she shook her head, trying to prepare herself for what she would say next.
"I don't want to be alone when I confront him. You saw what he did to those people in Times Square. I just can't take a chance. He may have redeemed himself in your eyes but I still don't trust him."

Alicia smiled because she got what she wanted, even if she had to make a bargain. She leaned in and hugged Viktoria.
"Don't worry, i'll be there with you. I think he trusts me, I won't let him freak out if things don't go well. You may not trust him, but you need to trust me. If he's going to stay here long term like I hope he will, and if you're going to be here since your cover was blown, we need to work together. The only way we can do that, is if you two trust each other and don't kill each other in the field."

"I trust you, Alicia. Do you really think I would've agreed to this if anyone else had asked?"
Viktoria had reluctantly allowed Alicia to hug her after their compromise to confront Nick about what had happened after his outing as a mutant at the rally in Times Square, squirming a little at the discomfort caused by the slight pressure on her left shoulder. Thank God for pain meds or that would've felt much worse, she thought to herself as she reclined on her bed, letting silence permeate the room again. Viktoria ran through some of the possible ways the confrontation could go in her head before deciding it wasn't worth the headache.
"So I guess I'm stuck here, right?"

Alicia nodded, and she grabbed a datapad tablet, sending a message away.
"It would seem so, unless you want to go back to the Brotherhood. I just sent of your enrollment form, with my personal recommendation. Once it's accepted, it'll ping back with your room information and enrollment information. You can lay low here for as long as you want, but we could really use you to stay around now that the Purifiers seem to be upping their activity. You know them better than most, better than Nick most likely. You could be a real asset."

"If you need me, then I'll stay. Seems a bit reckless to go anywhere else right now."
Viktoria let out a sigh after she'd finished her sentence, letting the reality that she couldn't go home sink in. Doctor Strange had made her promise to stay and now Alicia had done the same, both claiming that it was in her best interests. What was her best interests, though? Viktoria knew that she'd be safe from the elder Kelvin when he finally discovered she'd slipped through his guard's fingers but that came at the cost of being isolated from her true family and too close to the enemy's progeny for comfort for an indefinite period of time. She frowned a little as she watched Alicia's datapad tablet, waiting for the ping that would seal her status as a Jean Grey student for good. Viktoria remembered the last time she'd found herself within these walls, which was right after the death of her mother, and she squirmed at the thought of how lonely she'd been within these walls. She had been overcome by the great shift from troupe life to life within an institution and ran away to her grandmother and the Brotherhood, a couple months shy of her seventh birthday. It was there Viktoria had found her second home, her second family, and Alicia, and there she had been trained. It all meant so much to her that she wanted nothing more than to go back but Alicia had made her promise and that promise meant she had to stay.
"They probably have my old files so it shouldn't take them long, right? Either way, I guess it's settled, Alicia. I just hope it's different this time."

Alicia nodded sympathetically to her long time friend, her sorority sister in a sense. She wanted only good things for her, and wished that her life wasn't so full of turmoil and sadness.
"The results should be here within the hour, in the mean time, I sort of made a promise to Nick to show him around the school and help him get accustomed to the University. Are you okay here? Or do you need me to stay?"

"I'll be fine, Alicia. I need the rest anyway."
Viktoria wouldn't have minded the company but since Alicia had promised Nick that she'd give him the grand tour, she couldn't bring herself to ask her friend to break her promise. She truly did need the rest after how much she had exerted herself earlier while injured. Viktoria did her best to smile to show her friend it was okay because she could tell by her expression that she was a little worried.
"I guess I'll catch up with you later, right?"

While Headmaster Logan was busy repaying Spider-Man's practical joke with one of his own, Ben headed into the mansion to find his dorm room and start unpacking before orientation. Once he found his assigned quarters, the youngest member of the Parker family tossed his bags down onto his bed and began flipping through the welcome packet he received, although he soon found himself scratching his head in puzzlement about one particular note in the section titled "New Student Survival Tips"...the last tip read simply, "Beware of Bamfs".
After pondering that statement for a few moments, Benjy detected a distinct sulfuric odor which was paired with the sound of mischievous giggling, which prompted him to look up...just in time to notice a small, blue creature with a spade tail digging through his suitcase and making off with his iPod!
"What the..." Ben started to inquire, speaking to no one in particular since the room was occupied solely by himself and the Bamf at the time, although his thought was quickly cut off as the extra-dimensional creature took off running and issuing a rather rude hand gesture! "Did I just get jacked by a smurf?"
Needless to say, the Scarlet Spider promptly gave chase through the halls of the mansion, shouting all the way (much to the amusement of several of the older students, who got a chuckle at the newbie's first encounter with the little blue imps). "HEY! THAT'S MINE! GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE @#$&!!!"
