Yesterday I didn't even want to go out of the house without throwing what felt like extremely short hair (chopped off 10 inches) into a ponytail.
Today my hair looks longer and not so bad lol
The haircut really was overdue. I hadn't cut my hair in like 15 months.

Sometime in grade school, I made a vow that I would not cut my hair, get any tattoo or piercings, because it would be an insult to the gods to attempt to improve upon the beauty they had already created. Plastic surgery is right out. Hair dye was excluded from this because in all evidence it would fade out in less than three months, and as it was not permanent, it didn't count. I've not been blonde since high school and I'm now aware how permanent hair dye can be, but bleaching it back would only make it worse. I'll admit it, personal religion is sometimes weird.

@Kitty: Is there any length at which you might consider cutting your hair?
@Ivy: Ten inches is a lot! surprised I would have a panic attack if I ever cut that much hair off.

...nnnno, is there a part of "I have vowed never to cut my hair" that you find confusing?

I was just curious, like if you were in a "what if-" scenario where hair grows forever and ever at a steady pace until death. Looking up the actual subject I now realize that's not possible, but I kinda thought it was when I posted earlier. *I feel stupid pokerface*

It's alright, it's just sort of a silly question. And I have trimmed split ends, but it's only alright if I do it individually and can see the split end, because then it's a health thing.

@Kitty: I see! Sometimes I can't contain my dumber questions, but I'd be a dumber person if I never asked! : D
I guess I need to answer the poll, my last haircut was in February. Made the bold choice not to shorten my hair up a few inches, and now I'm breaking personal records! My hair is down to the end of my ribcage, it's kinda crazy and makes me look like a blogwhore whenever I polish up. (laugh)

I keep frying my hair so I'm lucky to get it past my shoulders, but I never cut it shorter than right at my shoulders.
Oh and my last haircut was about two weeks ago, I cut it myself since most stylists don't understand "just trim the ends."
