I'm curious; what's the stance on characters owning Daedric artifacts?

XxWild-Eyed_JokersxX I'm curious; what's the stance on characters owning Daedric artifacts? You'll have to ask the owner of the role play for that. He's Ring191.

XxWild-Eyed_JokersxX I'm curious; what's the stance on characters owning Daedric artifacts? Depends really, what Daedric artifact do you want to own? If more people request, I'll make a list and cross off the owned ones.

Ring191 Depends really, what Daedric artifact do you want to own? If more people request, I'll make a list and cross off the owned ones. In particular, the Wabbajack. It's for one of two character ideas I had in the back of my mind. Not really sure which I'd rather go with. 1) A wandering conjuror with the Wabbajack. Bit of an eccentric, with no real ambitions aside from enjoying life. I understand the Companions disapprove of magic, but he would point out that lycantrhopy itself is more of a magical curse than an actual disease. I doubt he'd want to join the Companions, but he'd tag along for the ride for kicks. Would be handy for enchanting, maybe. 2) Thieves Guild Enforcer. This member of the guild never truly believed in luck, nor does he view Nocturnal as his patron deity. He trusts only his own strength, and fights for the money the guild rakes in. Unlike his compatriots, he dons heavy armor and a two-handed ax. He has several roles in the guild: Dealing with direct threats to the guild (city guards trying to perform a bust on them, etc). Handling dodgy clients who've hired bodyguards. In this way the guild doesn't waste resources and the welfare of its more 'useful' members. Intimidation and coercion through force. Basically a sledgehammer for situations where finesse goes no where.

Both sound like interesting ideas. I'd love to see the first one in action. You may use the wabbajack. Just make him a lunatic for the hell of it to, please. biggrin

One more question however, How does your character know about the werewolf curse?

As with my own in game character, he'd have a traveling companion named 'Morten the Sweet'. He'd call him Mort or Morty for short. Morten used to be a city guard, upholding the law and promoting peace, but then the Wabbajack turned him into a sweet roll. True story. Hope that'd fit the 'loony' bill, 'cause there's more of that. As for knowing about the curse, it's more of an intellectual observation more than any solid facts he has. He doesn't see any other feasible means for transforming into a beast at will. Such a thing is unprecedented, when you think about it; no other creature has been known to be able to pull off such a drastic change in so little time. A person's anatomical structure just isn't made for something like that by default, even primitive medical research would be able to see that. Then it only affects creatures with high intelligence, (the playable races), so this is a very specific issue. You won't see a werewolf mudcrab, after all. The fact that it can be transferred to one person from another, regardless of their background or place of origin, hints that lycanthropy was specifically created to target people. What else would lycanthropy be, if not some failed (or maybe even successful, opinions willing) magic spell?
