This was written in a book called 'The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter (a treasury of myths, legends and fascinating facts'.) Since the book was published in 2001, it's not up to date with the last HP books.

"It's amusing to note that although Galahad finds the Grail in the Arthur stories, most of the legends focus on a character named Perceval. Born into a peasant family, Perceval eventually proves his virtue and becomes a Knight of the Round Table. Whether Percy Weasley will show the qualities exhibited by his namesake remains to be seen."

It's odd reading this now when we know Percy did come back to help defend Hogwarts.

That is interesting. Although I have to say, it is almost more interesting to find that someone else reads books that are on Harry, not about Harry. 3nodding

Anyways, I was actually thinking about Dumbledore when I read that about the knight, Percival. Since Dumbledore has Perceval for one of his many middle names. But being born into a peasant family and becoming a knight was actually something really rare back in medieval times, wasn't it? Although, I suppose that could also work for Percy too, now wouldn't it? I guess I was just thinking of Dumbledore overcoming his dad's reputation for being a muggle-hater. But then, Percy also has that sort of chivalrous aspect to his personality too. Although it tends to come off as pompous.

Interesting.... Interesting.... 3nodding

It is interesting xd , or as the book says: 'fascinating'.

The author also poked at a prediction that Harry would become an animagus. I don't see how that would be handy when the Ministry was infiltrated, and he would have had to report his animagus abilities to them. Ah well, the author couldn't have known, but I think Harry would have been a stag, as creative as that seems. ><

no...I think if he did become anything at the end there he would have learned and changed into an owl after Headwig...(just an idea)

He could also be a snake, what with his connections with Voldemort and his Parseltongue abilities. (another idea)

I'm fairly certain the Weasley's oldest boy is named Percy in honor of Albus Percival
Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. (And I'd imagine he's named that since his parents are close
friends with Dumbledore as well as original members of the Order of the Phoenix.) mrgreen

Harry would probably be a stag since his father was (knowing JKR's enjoyment in
linking people that way). However, I think it'd be cooler if he was a dog like Sirius
because of his closeness with his godfather. whee Though the idea of him being an owl
(especially with his owl-ish look in those distinct round glasses) is awesome too. heart

oh thats a good point. I wonder if the change is up to the wizard. I don't think they mention it in to much detail.

Harry becoming an owl would be awesome, though he's not that wise. I also like the thought of a physical manifestation of his relationship with sirius.
