___Aminia continued to live, for a little while longer, in peace. Watching both of her creations flourish. Soon, the Kyresue caught the attention of a sinister being called Ferren. He was consumed by jealousy and desire for the unfathomable power that the Kyresue contained. He sought to devour their life-force and attain their magic for himself.
___Once Aminia learned of Ferren's intent she knew she had to do something to protect her creation. So in her haste, she cast a spell over the Kyresue, turning them all into balls of magical fire and contained them in lanterns. This way, they could hide from Ferren. However, this was a sort of half life for the Kyresue and the light from the fires quickly began to dwindle. Aminia, fearing for the life of her creations, summoned the guardian spirit Idiris and sent her amongst the Humes to find one suitable of caring for the Kyresue. She gifted the guardian with an enchanted mask in the shape of a fox. She deemed that each Kyresue, upon emerging from their lanterns, should be gifted with one, a divine protection from Ferren's insatiable quest for power.
