No one knows what went wrong on that day. They were so sure that their machine would work, all their calculations pointed to success. However when they turned it on everything went wrong. They were trying to look into the past; instead they threw people into the past. They have no idea what is happening now and what will happen as the machine runs, and they don’t want to risk turning it off yet. They don’t want to alter the past, and they hope that they can pull the people that got pulled into the past back to the present.
