Shedrawn was busy oiling his dragon after his feeding when a startled squawk from his largest firelizard caught his attention. The mini bronzes eyes were whirling swiftly and he seemed quite focused on a place not far from where they were in the weyr bowl. The two greens however were laughably ignoring his antics and were busy sliding down Skewth's back in the guise of helping oil him. Skewth said that the worst it did was tickle so Shedrawn allowed it. It was worth the odd chuckle anyway. A shimmering flash of gold caught the sunlight and the brownrider groaned. "Not again!" It had been bad enough the first time when it had been two of this firelizard's together. But this was a gold ...he didn't have a gold. In fact it looked like Morning Light. A few other brown's in the weyr perked up. But it seemed Isdrayon was the only bronze around. Oh dear. Skewth rumbled his bemusement at his rider's uncomfortableness. The firelizard was just counting his lucky stars that he had a good chance at this female.

The crewling of her gold came a bit unexpectedly. Wykla hadn't realized the gold was quite so close to rising. Quickly she commanded Boreal to take the other girls away until the flight was over. He cheeped sadly, but did as she asked. Without any other females to worry about she headed outside to watch Morning Light. Wykla rested a hand on her hip as the gold blooded a couple small critters. The predictable boys gathering.
She blinked as the sole bronze waiting looked somewhat familiar. Could that indeed be Cheer and Boreal's baby? Wykla grinned and looked around for Shedrawn.
Morning Light was ready. She hissed and taunted the males. Flaunting her wings and bloody muzzle. With a flash of bright gold, the flit took to the sky. Dissing the powers of the males with shrill cries. They could never catch her!

Isdrayon creeled loudly with his usual joy and exuberance and rose after the female. Leaving Shedrawn reeling on the ground. Ugh. Flit flights had to be the most discombobulating things.. well cept dragon flights but Skewth wasnt ready for that yet thank goodness. Sassy devil.
"Wykla? Is that you? I was sure that was your darling little gold going all angsty on the boys. Oh dear." Shedrawn blushed furiously. "Sorry." He then giggled a little bit. Darn that over happy flit messing with his emotions. Up on high a brown tried to nibble at Isdrayons tail. Issy flicked it at him angrily. And snarled something but tried to keep his cool and chase the golden enchantress up ahead. Her teasing calls making his firelizardy blood boil.

"Course its me. Yeah its Morning." Wykla glanced at the flits at they took off. "I hadn't realized she was quite so close." She chuckled. "Don't worry. Had to send all the others away. Poor Boreal missed out on this one. Looks like your boy has a good chance."
"Greetings Skewth. You're looking well today." She greeted the brown dragon.
Morning Light beat her strong wings. After a moment she looked back to see who thought they might be good enough. Several browns and a bronze were tailing her. Well they'd have to impress her if they even wanted a chance. The gold called to the boys. She did several loops to show them just how awesome she was.

Skewth purr/hummed and rubbed his head gently and happily on Wykla. He really enojoyed her and didn't see why his was such a chicken. And acting all embarrassed, it was just flits not dragons at all. He snorted as if in agreement with himself.
"Ah well yes. I of course hadn't noticed she was starting to glow either. It even took Isdrayon by surprise a little and he is usually so on top of things."
Isdrayon hissed happily at his compitition as he overtook one of the smaller browns who was lagging. He was catching up in this wheeling diving race and that was cause for much happiness and excitement, yes.
