So I'm trying to get a cosplay together, but I haven't decided who to cosplay as yet. My current ideas are:
Femme!Gamzee
Femme!Sollux
Terezi
Kanaya
Calliope
Mindfang
or Redglare?
Unfortunately, I'm very indecisive. And even if I pick one, I don't know where to start when getting a cosplay together. >~<

Well, usually things depend on budget as well!
I'm being John, and that alone has cost me like $45 for a binder (for le boobs, I personally dislike cosplaying genderbends) like $25 for a wig and $22 for his shirt, which is in the mail. Also if you count the Breath hoodie that's like $36 dollars I think?? (Plus the troll makeup I've bought!!)
Yeah. Cosplaying is so expensive, but addicting and fun.
ANYWAY!

Depending on whether you want a easy or a hard cosplay, trolls and cherubs are gonna be harder?
Unless you're being Troll!Calliope, of course.
If you're leaning towards being a troll, I'd check the upcoming links. Sometimes it's better to test makeup s**t out on your own, but Ben Nye is still p much the best thing to use.

x Bonus Gamzee makeup video?? Hell yeah

x A place to get troll/kid shirts
(UNLESS YOU WANNA MAKE YOUR OWN WHICH WOULD BE CHEAPER I GUESS?)

Annnnd, if you have a printer that can make iron-on prints:
x Lowblood Symbols
x Highblood Symbols
And then you can get the t-shirts from pretty much anywhere!

I've cosplayed Rainbow Drinker!Kanaya, so if you decide on her, I'm here to help!
But no matter what you do, make your own shirt, I've made tons and if you use the freezer paper method, your shirt will look amazing! I've had people ask me if I bought my shirt, seriously.

That entire blog is good for your homestuck crafting needs.
And I'll echo spacialHistorian, cosplaying a troll/cherub is going to be a lot of work. I'm not sure how experienced you are, but if you are meticulous and do your research, you can definitely make whatever cosplay you want!

I am planning on using these for her horns(not going to use those teeth). because I can't even paper mache for crap, even with all the good tutorials for it. XPP
Does anyone know any good ways to repaint those, or what paints to use? Also, should I try to scrape the paint off them before repainting? I saw something about that from the person giving Aradia cosplay tips and posting this link!
