Ganodorf would be good to remake, giving him that big-a** sword that he's supposed to have. And you could make Ganon one of the secret bosses like Giga Bowser.

rockozer oh yeah from Metriod Samus, Ridley, a metriod, a space pirate, and an ing, mabey I see a Metroid being more of an item, ex: you hit it once to stun it, then pick it up and throw it at an opponent, and it latches on, and slowly drains their life for like 15 seconds.

I was also thinking a Metroid, but never said anything because I couldnt figure out any good moves for it. I didnt think of it being an item.
Might be an interesting feature if you could make your own character? Like...in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games...only...SSMB-like characters...and you could like....unlock character traits through playing to make them stronger? I dunno, just a thought.

eh...that'd be cool but it would be hard to do good and remain Smash Bros....know what i mean? i can't really think of how that would work in a fighting game that's supposed to be between Nintendo (or gaming or whatever) classics.

I don't know why everyone bashes Pichu...I love the little guy, he's so cute and I LOVE pissing off my friends when I beat them with it because my skillz are so 1337 that I can beat my friends with basically any character in the game 4laugh
As for bonuses...I REALLY like the Metroid idea. It could be basically like that Flower thing that you can hit people with that gives them a flower on their head. 3nodding
As for new characters...
Intelligent Systems- Best Second-Party developer EVAR crying heart
They should probably include either Ephraim (From the upcoming Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones for GBA), or Ike (From the upcoming GCN FE title, Traces of the Blue Flame)... either of those guys would rock. Hector would be nice too, actually. 3nodding Lyn would probably be like Marth but more eye candy-ish and have the extra ability of bows like Link's.
I agree with previous posts, all of the carbon copy characters should get their own moves, save for maybe Pichu and Doc. Mario.
Online's obviously a must, people would pay like $15 (Canadian) to play it online even though Nintendo's making the Revolution's online free...
Other new characters...I can't think of any, actually. I was really satisfied with SSB:M's character options.
Oh, and they should make Yoshi better like he was in SSB. He was really high-tier in that game, but now he's like, middle tier... crying

Gaughan Ragnarok Ninja X I dont know if anyone said, but Mallow. He can do A as a normal stretch punch, and B as a charged stretch punch, and so on. His focus will be punches. I think Square Enix owns him sweatdrop (He's the one from SMRpg?) No, Nintendo bought the rights to Mallow, Squeenix still owns Geno. I think these would be prime characters: -Captain Olimar -Mallow -Wolf O'Donnel (StarFox, just don't clone him from Fox) -Koopa -Jack (Harvest Moon)

There's still one thing that's probably the biggest problem with all these characters that you guys are coming up with is that you can't give them moves. For things like Captain Olimar, the Advance Wars characters, Jack, and all of those Fire Emblem characters, what moves would they have? RNX is the only person who has actually mentioned solving this problem because he mentioned Mallow focusing on punches. That's the reason that Falco and Ganondorf are carbon copys, they couldn't come up with a full set of moves for them by the time the game needed to be published. I think that its more about what you can do that should be altered instead of who you can do it with for the next SSB (they MUST make one for the Revolutions!!!). A few different characters would do well, but its no good if they keep Classic/Adventure/All-Star/Event mode the same, then its not going to sell since a carbon copy of a game is worse than one of a character.

A lot of the time, this is one of the biggest causes of arguments for me in the SSBM thread in the FGF.
I hate it when people suggest MegaMan, Terry Bogard, Sonic, or whomever for the game, when they should know full well that Nintendo only uses their own brand-name characters for these games. Really, I think many of the characters would be fine if they just reworked them.
Examples to come.

OK, so I'll see to finding some moves for some of the mentioned characters in this. Lyndis: More agile strokes than the current Roy and Marth. The A button can focus on quick slashes, unlike Roy and Marth, which I find to be kinda slow. B attacks can include the Bow (due to upgrades), and for a recovery move, something like a swordsmaster. Actually, her whole arsenal of attacks should be swordsmaster-y. Because, Marth isn't exactly what I call fast, and Roy isn't any better. King Dedede: A attacks are mainly hammer. Actually, this guy could be all original, I really don't see anyone he could clone without defying the laws of... weaponry. 3nodding I mean, hammers don't work like swords, and he can't clone the Ice Climbers, or else there'd be two of them... Ganondorf (remake): A attacks should focus mostly on short range magic attacks. Either that, or give him a big'ol sword and let him go to town. The sword would be bulkier, making way for newer attacks. B attacks should focus on either short but powerful attacks, or very long reaching magical attacks. Of course, obviously, he wouldn't be a clone of Zelda. That would be scary. That's even worse than being a clone of C.Falcon, which I find extremely strange why they chose C.Falcon to clone him off of, seeing that C.Falcon has almost no moves even somewhat related to Ganondorf, and vice versa. I'll think of more later.
