I'm on my second period this month.

1 week on period.
2 week off
BACK ON AGAIN!

The nice thing about them is they aren't mondo heavy or painful. I guess there's always a bright side.

And the doctor wanted me to try Mirena? Psh. You are my proof that I made the right decision.

I don't have Mirena. I have Paragard, which is simply a polyethelyne frame and copper wire.

Mirena contains a cylindar that releases progestogen directly into the uterus and is known to lighten and eliminate periods, which I did not want, which is why I chose paragard. I wanted hormone free. I have never been comfortable with the idea of introducing extra hormones to my body.

I do agree that Paragard would rip your uterus to shreds. It is definitely not for women with endo problems.

tl;dr I chose paragard because it's more brutal and has metals.

Paraguard was never an option. But you are so damn hard core. I love it.
