The secret meeting place of the village ANBU is situated in a secluded area a little off from the village itself in a small, sound-proof hut. As for why it's a hut in the first place and why there wasn't more effort to make the cabin at least a bit more comfortable...only the Senju clan whom chose the location and - quite literally - grew the cabin knew the reason "why". Some of the black ops members claim it was a joke. There had even been some rumors flying around of trying to get the Senju clan to come and renovate this place (or hopefully build a more decent headquarters instead) but unfortunately, they happen to like the hut as it is...
Once in a while (if unfortunate), the little shack may suffer a significant population boost of insects in the surrounding land, as characteristic of spring, grasshoppers singing away noisily into the nights in late summer, or a torrential flood of leaves in mid-autumn. That is only the kinder portion of their ordeal too: which also includes warding off the hornets, wasps, bees, mosquitoes, field rats...yep, you name it. If fortune is especially bad, thanks to the lovely positioning of the place, the cabin may become radically endangered - notably first in line - for one of Konoha's rare (but can become exceptionally violent) torrential rains. Hey, it is a rain forest after all.
But that's fine. After all, that's what ANBU training is for, right? ;D All their sufferings noble ventures are ultimately for the village's name and glory - and there's no better way to get along with nature than living side-along with it.
All terrain types are scattered about the area, forested area primarily in the northeast, lakes on the southeast, rocky terrain on the northwest, and sand dunes in the southwest. In the very center is the plain field with the hut.
Usually the hut is where they meet to discuss any mission plans or to work on individual or group training. A bit surprisingly (or perhaps not?), those in the black ops generally preferred to train near their headquarters, away from the prying eyes of the Genins and Chuunins in the village training fields.
