 Sundew; Drosera Slakii is native to South Africa. It forms rosettes that range from to two to four inches in
diameter, and produces pink flowers. It was named in honor of the well-known carnivorous plant grower,
and author, Adrian Slack. These members of the family Droseraceae lure, capture, and
digest insects using stalked mucilaginous glands covering their leaf surface.

Aesthetics:
Age: Thirty
Build: Muscular and strongly built with no single sign of fat.
Skin Color: Dark, reddish tan
Hair Style & Color: Long red dreadlocks mimicking almost like the rosettes of the flower. He has some slender green leaves stuck in there. Hair reference and inspiration
Eye Color: Bright orange with some gold tones.
Body Markings: He has black tribal tattoos from his face to torso and down to his feet and miscellaneous scars (doesn't matter to me where they're drawn).
Costume Style: Kato's overall appearance theme is a Polynesian warrior; much more like the Maori. His torso is very much bare to reveal is strong muscular form and tattoos except for a cloak made of plant leaves that mimics like the sundew's tentacles on the leaves. Across his chest though he has a leather belt from over the right shoulder down across to the left side of his body where he holds his weapons and pouches. It could have some design on the belt like stitching or beading like in the cloak pic. He has leather sturdy leather gloves that covers his forearms that has some beading detail like you see from the first pic to represent the dew of the plant. His pants rested on the hips and are fitted that reaches down just below the knees with cut outs on the thighs that has the same beading around the cut outs. Glimpses of his tattoo are also shown through the cut outs of the pants. His belt is the same like his cloak that fringe outwards. Kato has an animal bone and bead necklace around his neck, mostly bones of large cats like teeth. He wears black sandals.
Mask: A fierce looking lion's mask colored in deep red like the flower and yellow tribal stripes. His mouth is visible.
Horns/Antlers: His horns is of like the Addax with the twisted horn style. But not that long of course > .>
**Note! I'm very much open minded to what the artist has in mind about the character design so feel free for creative design <3

Aspirations: To become a stronger warrior is all that he ask for so he can defend others.
Fears: He fears for his life just like any warrior. He's not foolish to think that he'll be alive if he charges in headstrong. But what Kato fears the most is probably failing at his given task
Personality:

In the face of danger, Kato stands his ground and poised for an attack. He puts his life on the line in order to defend his village and the people who lives there for as long as he could remember. It is his job after all as a Sentinel. Kato stands up for others regardless of their beliefs and different backgrounds for it's something that's embedded into his skin and that is it. There's no other meaning to it to those outsiders. He feels fear though. It's foolish to ignore those feelings when meeting danger, but have mastered it, and do not allow it to motivate his choices or decisions. However he can be impulsive and react emotionally to what's happening around them when pausing to think of the best course of action is what is really needed. The druid feeds on the adrenalin of the fight that beats through his heart. It'll be hard to make him stop.

Occupation: Sentinel – Protector and warrior of the Druid village and disposes the intruders who travels too close to the border.
Battle Style/Magic: Kato relies on his own strength more than his magic in combat. But living among the land that life barely made a spark; Kato is adept in growing and controlling carnivorous plants that thrived on the barren lands. These ‘plant beasts’ as he calls them helped him in trapping his foes by the use of the dewy mucilage like glue and then devours them when Kato demands it both on land and water if the fiends try to be sneaky through the lakes. He does have some healing skills with the use of herbs and magic but it’s something that he is so skilled of in comparison to others for he’s meant to fight and not to heal. I would like to give him some animalism skills in relation to felines because his mask totem is a lion. Perhaps the ability to see in the night, better reflexes, or something like that. Just to put it out there.

The reason he left the village is to better know the outside world and its inhabitants. And that includes the warriors. Kato would like to meet them and study of how they are, fighting style, and if they really are good people or just monsters that will bring harm to his village.

Bringing a tall wild man out from the forest to the city can create a whole lot of trouble. So he needs someone who can lead him along in the cities and towns to teach him how to be . . . normal I guess, or close to it, and curb his curiosity along the way. The dos and not to dos, how to be proper, and not anything that moves is an enemy. Be careful though, he can be a bit destructive.

He does like to teach others how to fight for the sake of defending themselves and what's important to them. Before teaching, Kato would even ask those questions on why they want to fight or improve their fighting before starting the training.
