Well, here's another update. Not sure if anyone's even reading this anymore....so...it might be the last update I do.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Erin, how is this good?” Aurora asked.
“She’s breathing!” Ama’Leia yelled.
A soft glow fell from the flowers, looking closely they could see her chest rise up then down, very slowly. The flowers and vines seem to be keeping her alive. Erin tried to touch her sister; she snapped her hand back in pain. Alexandra was safe for now.
They all stood in silence; no one knew what to do. Karu walked around the other beds, stopping at one covered in flames with a single bigger flame in the middle of each side. He touched the stone for second then walked back to the group.
“Well, now what?” Amadeus asked, felling a bit uncomfortable.
Everyone stared at Alexandra. Unsure of what they were seeing, unsure of what to do. High Priestess Su’Ki broke the silence. She ordered everyone out of the room and back to their homes. She had some research to do and asked them to be patient.
“But High Priestess Su’Ki, this is our sister! We can't just abandon her” Iza’Byl cried out.
“She will be safe here. Tomorrow after lessons you may return. Only you, Erin, and your parents may enter the room.” She held up her hand to silence more protesting. “That is enough. Everyone must leave now. You all need your rest and you are not spending the night in this cold crypt. Enough. No more arguing.”
Erin nodded and left the room first. ‘Alie is alive’ she turned back at the door, “She is right. Alie will be safe. She would want us to get a good night’s sleep so we can figure out how to get her back.”
“Right.” Re’Aven agreed and followed her out.
One by one the rest exited the room; the parents said one last goodbye. High Priestess Su’Ki closed and locked the doors.
She watched as they made their ways home, the few that lived in the city shared a carriage ride. Once they were all out of eyesight the High Priestess retired to the library. In the corner lay a forgotten trunk covered with deep red matt. Hesitantly, she opened the trunk and pulled out the only object. An old tattered book covered in dust. A symbol, two diamonds merged into a cross shape with different colors in each of the sections, and two rings, one in the center and one on the outer edge.
Wiping away the dust revealed bright colors within the symbol. She slowly opened the book afraid it would break in her hands. The ancient text has long been forgotten, only the High Ones were taught the words. It was a legend passed down from High One to High One, each one hoping they would see it come to fruition. Only High Priestess Su’Ki never wanted to see it. Death, sadness, a possible end to everything. It was not something she wished to pass. However, Destiny and Fate seem to have other plans.
She curled up into a sand chair and began to read.
‘This book is protected from space and time. No matter the time. No matter the space. This book will live to tell the tale of a broken destiny.
In the day when Demons and Angels lived on the same plane Asha was enveloped in constant war. Neither the Demons nor Angels wanted to recede, for whoever won the war gained a land filled with magic and untapped powers. The Angels wanted to protect the Ashans, the Demons wanted to enslave them. Destiny and Fate knew the Ashans would be wiped out if the war continued. Destiny loved the Ashans, Fate loved Destiny. Together they pleaded with the Gods to create warriors to fight on the behalf of the Ashans.
The Gods denied them. The death toll raised. Again the pleaded. Again they were denied. Soon after, the war had breached the royal court. One Demon clan, who only wished for peace, meet with the King of the Guardian Angels. King Blazer of the Blazer Demon Race signed a peace treaty promising to protect the Ashans against other Demon Races’. It was that night, King Blazer and Lyla, daughter of the King of Guardian Angels, fell in love. Months after they abandoned their throne and hid on Asha.
After the signing yet before the young lovers fled, the God’s finally agreed to make warriors. Several ideas came up, several were shot down. It was Destiny who told them the best path. Warriors made from each element with Guardians protect them, only they would travel the path of success. The Gods agreed. The first to be created. Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. From the greenest trees and plants came Avani and Peta. From the hottest volcano came Pyr and Brimstone. From the cleanest water came Nysaia and Crysta. From the whitest cloud and purest air came Zaru and Helios.
Together they fought against the Demons. It would appear these warriors could win the war and bring peace to the lands. However, a new enemy was awakening on the Astral Plains. A parentless child, adopted by a criminal sentenced to spend eternity in the hellish Astral Plains. He was given the name Maje. Together with his brother Nor, they cracked the barrier separating the Astral Plain and Asha and slipped through. Maje, who called himself a Lord, gained the trust of the Demons promising them power if they helped him defeat the Queen of Asha. The Element Warriors were no match for Lord Maje and his horde of Demons.
Destiny cried to the Gods again. Without new warriors the Ashans would perish. New, stronger warriors were needed. The God agreed, for they now held all their belief in Destiny’s word. This time, the Gods created two from each element, Light, Dark, Energy, and Time and Space. From the sun’s purest rays, came Alena and Heru with their Guardians Mia and Rane. From the darkest void came Anyu and Manari with their Guardians’ Rave and Nyx. From a violent thunder storm came Tempest and Tamo with their guardians Kai and Mitsu. Out of the Space Time continuum came Try and his Guardian Zuriel, and Astraea and her Guardian Lilith.
These twelve Warriors and twelve Guardians fought against Lord Maje for ages, neither side giving way. The Warriors begged the Gods for another Warrior, one infused with all their powers and abilities, one strong enough to defeat Lord Maje. The Gods agreed. One last time they gathered their powers and created another Warrior, this time however, the Warrior would need time to grow. One that was connected to the planet, one who was born of the Asha, not created by the Gods. The Gods gave them a seed of white rose and instructed the Warriors to plant the seed in fertile land. Each Warrior is to shed their blood over the seed and everyday one Warrior must water the seed until it is full grown.
Everyone, including the Gods were expecting a male Warrior. When the petal receded a young woman sat in middle. The Queen stepped forth and gave her a name. The name of the first Queen. Thus Erin stepped free of the rose and greeted each of the Warriors. A young man, ashen faced, stood in the back. The Queen ushered him forward. She told the new Warrior that this young man would be her Guardian until time itself crumbled. His name is Snowblazer. Prince to the Blazer Demon Race. Prince to the Guardian Angels. Son of Lyla and Blazer.
High Priestess Su’Ki closed the book. “Could it really be true?” It was just a legend after all. Passed down through out the ages. She couldn’t stand the thought of one of her townspeople going though the trauma required to fulfill their destiny. If Alexandra was the Warrior of Earth, then it is possible that one if not all of her friends are the other Warriors. High Priestess Su’Ki suddenly remembered a conversation between her and little Alexandra, days before her succession ceremony. The day she finished reading this book.
“Don’t worry Su’Ki. Everything will be okay.”
“What do you mean Alexandra?”
Alexandra touched the book, “She’ll be okay. She’s strong enough to overcome it. She can defeat Destiny and Fate. She’ll carve our path. She’ll save them. All of them.” She smiled her all knowing smile then ran out the door.
“She knew!” High Priestess Su’Ki yelled.
“Knew what?”
She jumped and spun around.“High Priest Naja! You scared me.” She held her chest, her heart felt like it would jump out.
“My apologies High Priestess Su’Ki, I am merely curious as to why you are reading that book.” He pointed with his cane.
“Am I not allowed to read it more than once?” She dared him to answer, High Priestess Su’Ki was the only one not afraid of High Priest Naja, then again he did teach her everything she knew.
“Of course you may read it as many times as you wish. However, with the death of a child one would think your mind would be on solving it. Not reading.” He smirked. He loved rattling her cage.
“High Priest Naja. Why are you here?”
“The High Council has called us here. It seems your favorite story might be more than that.”
“Us? Is this really a matter for all the High Temples?”
“It would seem your villain, what was his name again?”
“Lord Maje.” She huffed. “Will you answer the question?”
“Your village was not the only one that was attacked, High Priestess Su’Ki. However, yours was the only one with death.”
“What?” shock washed over her face and she sunk to the chair.
“We belive it was a warning.”
New begining!!!
Lips moved with silent voices screaming in the darkness. She smiled with tears in her eyes. She took a step back, dust billowing around her feet. They ran towards her mouths agape. He reached out, she fell back, his fingers grasped air. He started going over; another grabbed his shirt. They watched her disappear into the void.
Alexandra wiped the tears from her eyes. The vision hadn’t changed. No matter what she says to Erin, the vision stays the same. Peta tilted his head. “It’s alright Peta. I’m fine,” he cooed softly, “It’s time. Will you tell the others?” He bowed then took flight. She watched him disappear, silently contemplating their future. There’s still time to change it. She hasn’t made up her mind yet. Right? She took a deep breath then slowly walked back to the house, never looking back.
I think between chapter two and your update on the top of this page is a perfect place to zone into another world or after chapter two and have another world/village attacked. Anyways I like your story, really good.
