✖Biography: Growing up in New Bark Town of the Johto region, Tekay was always fascinated with pokemon. He got his first pokemon, an eevee, when he was seven years old. By the age of ten, he set out on a journey, like any other aspiring pokemon trainer. Tekay managed to collect all the badges in the Johto region, but failed to gain any progress afterward. After numerous failed attempts at beating the Elite Four, Tekay returned home, gave his badges to his mom, and stopped training all-together. Only a few days after he turned 14, something strange happened. He was taking a walk through a small forest nearby when an explosion caught his attention. Running to see what it was, he came across the devastation of what seemed to be a laboratory. Surveying the area, Tekay found only one person, a boy that looked to be around his age. This boy put off a substantial amount of heat when nearby, and he wore a jacket with a collar resembling a plume of fire like that of a typhlosion. When the boy woke up, he did something else that surprised Tekay, he spewed a burst of fire at him, telling him to back off. Eventually though, this gijinka known as Cynder came to trust and befriend Tekay. With his new friend, Tekay started training again, and they became a team. Recently, they found out about the National Academy, and decided to enroll in order to grow stronger.

✖Personality: While a little rash and hotheaded sometimes, he’s not actually a bad guy. Cynder tends to be kind of like Tekay at times, very caring and thoughtful, however, he also has a bit of an issue with ‘keeping his cool’ when being taunted or teased. If he loses it, he starts to go out of control, lighting things on fire by accident.
✖Biography: When he was little, Cynder was just your average cyndaquil, living peacefully with his family. He trained hard to keep his home and family safe. One day, however, when he was a quilava, some strange humans showed up in the middle of training and captured him and his family, dragging them to a laboratory in the middle of a forest far from their home. The cruel humans tortured and experimented on them, and Cynder was the only one to survive. They were trying to make a pokemon that could shift from being what it was to being a gijinka, and back again at will, and they partially succeeded. Unfortunately, Cynder couldn’t choose when to change, it always happened when he grew angry enough. And to the dismay of the scientists, he grew very, very angry upon their ‘success’. He was forced back into his pokemon form, and attacked. Evolving into a typhlosion soon after escaping the experimentation room, he completely lost control of his new powers, causing a large explosion that destroyed the lab and everyone in it. But he miraculously survived, ending up unconscious and becoming a gijinka once more. He woke up in a strange place with a strange human watching him. Wary of this human, Cynder launched a Fire Blast attack at him, but not getting anywhere by doing so. With no other clear choice, he decided to give this ‘Tekay’ a chance, letting himself be led back to a town, where he lived with Tekay and his family as a sort of adopted sibling. He later followed his new friend on a journey around the world, which didn’t really make it more than a few days before they enrolled in the National Academy to hone their skills. In a tough situation, Cynder will act as a sixth pokemon for Tekay.
