Biography: Ichirou was born in Karakura Town where he lived an adequately normal life. At the age of sixteen, both his parents disappeared, leaving him to believe that they were both killed. It wasn't until a Soul Society crisis, did he find out the truth about himself and his parents. Several Shinigami had come to his house to ask for Ichigo's assistance in the coming battles. After a long explanation on both sides, Ichirou was brought to the Soul Society where his powers were unlocked. However, he opted out of the Shino Academy and decided to train on his own experiences, just like his father. Travelling the worlds, he picked up different styles and learning experiences that eventually helped him in the long run. He was known to have completely disappeared in a training espionage and has only recently reappeared on the Shinigami radar. After proving himself to the Head Captain, he was granted the position of the Zero Division Captain whereas he strove to work undercover in protecting the Royal Family.

Shikai Abilities:
- Shingetsu (新月: New Moon) - Twirling the scythe in a complete counterclockwise circle, a white circle will appear in front of the palm of the user's free hand. The circle can shoot out white beams of reiatsu that can change direction at the user's will twice, before going on a straight path once more. Though the beams can be fired in rapid succession, the white circle itself is known to be very fragile. A direct hit from a level one Hadō would be enough to shatter it. Gengetsu (弦月: Crescent Moon) - Swinging the scythe rapidly, black and silver reiatsu waves launch from the blade towards the opponent. They are able to curve in midair, depending on the scythe's swing path. For example, if the wave was launched from the scythe in and upwards slash, the launched wave would curve upwards in the same motion path. [5 post grace]
Hangetsu (半月: Half Moon) - Striking an object with the scythe, the object is subject to the manipulation of gravity at the user's will. However, this only works on non-living objects and the user can only control one type of object at a time. [10 post last, 5 post grace]
Mangetsu (満月: Full Moon) - Twirling the scythe in a complete clockwise circle, a black void will appear in front of the user and will seem to "spit" out duplicates of itself in random directions. The voids act as portals and can be used for transportation. It can redirect moderate attacks, but anything stronger than that will simply rip past the void and continue moving on its original path. If the voids are closed as a user is inside the voided space, a simple above-moderate attack is enough to rip open a void back to the original world. [10 post last, 10 post grace]
Sekigetsu (赤月: Red Moon) - Swinging the scythe, the tip of the blade unleashes an invisible sound wave in the shape of a bullet. When landing on a target, the opponent will suffer an x-shaped cut wherever the attack has landed. Though the sound wave is invisible, it is completely possible to dodge it by sensing shifts in the air pressure or by a very sharp sense of hearing. [3 post grace]

Bankai Abilities:
- Kagetsu (花月: Moon Flower) - Jabbing the tip of the scythe into the ground, the sky turns dark with a full moon in the sky. Moonflower buds begin to form as a thin white vines wrap around the user's arm and scythe. As the flowers bloom, they begin to absorb the reiatsu from the moonlight and channel it through the vine to supply the user with reiatsu. [10 post last, 20 post grace]
Kyōgetsu (鏡月: Mirrored Moon) - Glowing white lines zigzag across the ground in a thirty feet radius. When the lines finish forming, they will turn black and hundreds of quick, invisible slashes will lacerate anything inside the column. The slashes appear inside the circle and extend in an indefinite column towards the sky. Though the slashes are invisible, they can be seen warping the air in a mirror-like fashion. [10 post grace]
Jigoku No Kagetsu (地獄の牙月: Moon Fangs of Hell) - This ability can only be used while "Kagetsu" is in effect. When this ability is used, it disables the effects of "Kagetsu" as the moonflowers turn black and disperse into the air as falling petals. The user's scythe duplicates itself into a total of six scythes which float around the user and can be used in combat, both physically and mentally.
