To be specific, why do they ignore girls they like? I'm not trying to be bitter; this is something I was honestly wondering. It was a question that came up in my mind while listening to one of my favorite songs:
Sometimes I ignore you so I feel in control
Cause really, I adore you, and I can't leave you alone

I know that this line is right on the money for girls. If we can't get attention from someone we want attention from we'll ignore them and pretend we don't want it; reverse physiology.
Do boys do this too? I always thought they ignored girls because they wanted them to leave them alone, but if girls do it for other reasons boys do too, right?
I can give an example if that would help.
