As soon as he touched her hand, he felt the soft warmth of hers against the sharp cold of his, and almost jumped. With a quick shake, he returned his hand to his pocket, avoiding eye contact all the while. Amai kind of rolled her eyes at this, typical Hitoshi and his boyish awkwardness towards girls. "Hitoshi," she said kindly, "It's getting late. You should probably head on home." Surprised, Hitoshi looked at his watch, "Oh yeah, it is late! I've got to jet." He got up, "Well it was nice seeing you two," he gave them both a small smile and wave before heading for the door, "I might drop by again in a few days, don't wait up." Hitoshi left the house, and walked out in the darkening night to his own apartment.
