So we all know the tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, and if you don't I'd like to ask what rock you've been hiding under that's alright. You don't need to know the tale for this contest but for the sake of making this post bigger... I'll add the tale right here! ... Once upon a time there were three billy goats, who were to go up to the hillside to make themselves fat, and the name of all three was "Gruff." On the way up was a bridge over a cascading stream they had to cross; and under the bridge lived a great ugly troll , with eyes as big as saucers, and a nose as long as a poker. So first of all came the youngest Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge. "Trip, trap, trip, trap! " went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll . "Oh, it is only I, the tiniest Billy Goat Gruff , and I'm going up to the hillside to make myself fat," said the billy goat, with such a small voice. "Now, I'm coming to gobble you up," said the troll. "Oh, no! pray don't take me. I'm too little, that I am," said the billy goat. "Wait a bit till the second Billy Goat Gruff comes. He's much bigger." "Well, be off with you," said the troll. A little while after came the second Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge. Trip, trap, trip, trap, trip, trap, went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll. "Oh, it's the second Billy Goat Gruff , and I'm going up to the hillside to make myself fat," said the billy goat, who hadn't such a small voice. "Now I'm coming to gobble you up," said the troll. "Oh, no! Don't take me. Wait a little till the big Billy Goat Gruff comes. He's much bigger." "Very well! Be off with you," said the troll. But just then up came the big Billy Goat Gruff . Trip, trap, trip, trap, trip, trap! went the bridge, for the billy goat was so heavy that the bridge creaked and groaned under him. "Who's that tramping over my bridge?" roared the troll. "It's I! The big Billy Goat Gruff ," said the billy goat, who had an ugly hoarse voice of his own. "Now I'm coming to gobble you up," roared the troll.
From here on it's rather gruesome so read at your own risk! For the sake of the story we'll say the big goat knocked the troll into the river and the evil troll was never seen again! Well, come along! I've got two spears, And I'll poke your eyeballs out at your ears; I've got besides two curling-stones, And I'll crush you to bits, body and bones.
That was what the big billy goat said. And then he flew at the troll, and poked his eyes out with his horns, and crushed him to bits, body and bones, and tossed him out into the cascade, and after that he went up to the hillside. There the billy goats got so fat they were scarcely able to walk home again. And if the fat hasn't fallen off them, why, they're still fat; and so,
Snip, snap, snout. This tale's told out.

As we just saw... the goats triumphed over evil and vanquished the troll! ..but was it the troll's greed that was his downfall or was it the goat's teamwork, knowing the biggest goat could defend them all? This is where you come in!
You are competing for these two lovelies~ Agke and I decided to share the love a bit because we both have lots of wishes! Basically how this works is... you rewrite the story! If there were only two billy goats how would this tale end? Would the troll's greed still end in his demise or would the troll triumph and gobble up the billy goats?
Be creative, let your imagination soar and don't be afraid to get too crazy. If the billy goats are aided by sparkle unicorns that's fine, do remember Agke and I are brutes though...
How you post is up to you, if you'd like to retell the entire story, by all means! If you'd like to just post how it ends that's fine too, but kudos to those that retell it.
Winner of this contest will win both ram babies, but they may keep only one. So, you can choose which you'd like and give the other to a friend~
Contest ends... sometime after I get back from Vancouver.
..maybe more?

((So, I made the rams the characters. >_> Just because.))
Once upon a time, there were two billy goats (Ok, so they were rams. But they didn’t know that!) who were heading up to the hillside to snack on the tasty flowers that grew up there, and their names were Guff and Griff Fluff. (Grandpa Kardel vetoed the name Griff. 'Don’t ask,' he says.)
On the way up the hill was a bridge over a cascading stream they had to cross; and under the bridge lived a great ugly (beauty is subjective you know!) troll with eyes as big as saucers and a nose as long as a poker. This bridge was rather narrow, though, so the brothers would have to cross one at a time.
So, Gruff, being the youngest, moved to cross first. Trip, scuff, trip, scuff! went the bridge. (Two hooves, two paws!) “Who’s that tripping over my bridge?” roared the troll. “Oh, it is only I, the tiniest billy goat brother, Gruff. I am going up the hillside to make myself fat,” said the ram, with a small shaky voice. “Now I’m coming to gobble you up!” said the troll. “Oh, no! Pray don’t take me! I’m too little, that I am,” said the ram. “Wait a bit till my brother, Fluff, comes! He’s much bigger.” Gruff said this very loudly, to make sure that his brother heard. “Well, be off with you,” said the troll. (A bird in the hand, Mr. Troll, a bird in the hand…tsk tsk.)
As Gruff stepped onto the hillside, Fluff stepped onto the bridge. Trip, scuff, trip, scuff! went the bridge. “Who’s that tripping over my bridge?” roared the troll. “Oh, it is I, the second billy goat brother, Fluff, and I’m going up the hillside for lunch,” said the ram. “Now I’m coming to gobble you up!” said the troll. “Oh, no! Don’t take me! Wait a little till my other brother comes! He’s much bigger than me!” “Very well! Be off with you,” said the troll.
Fluff was grinning as he stepped off of the bridge. “I can’t believe that worked!” “Nor can I,” said Gruff. “I thought I was dead for sure. But he totally just let us both waltz on pass. Haha!” The rams laughed and crowed all the way up the hill.
The troll waited.
As the sun began to sink lower in the sky, the rams found their bellies were full, and they were indeed fat. They practically had to roll themselves down that hill. Lazily, they did so. Slowly, Gruff moved onto the bridge. Triiip, scruuuuf, triiip, scruuuf. went the bridge. The troll didn’t even say anything. Suddenly, he jumped onto the bridge, showing his saucer eyes and poker long nose glowing like fire in the light of the setting sun. “Your brother never showed up!” roared the troll. “Y-ye-yes he did!” squealed the ram. He’d completely forgotten about the troll. “I’m Gruff! Fluff came right after me!”
The troll scrutinized the ram. “I suppose…either way! I shall gobble you up now, you fat little ram!” “Oh, no! Don’t eat me! Just wait! My brother is coming right behind me, and is much fatter than me!” “Hmm…Very well then. Be off with you!” said the troll, stepping aside to let the ram pass.
Nervously, Fluff stepped onto the bridge. Triiip, scruuuuf, triiip, scruuuf. went the bridge. Again, the troll leaped up onto the bridge, his features looking like fire. “Your brother never showed up! I shall be eating you now!” “Oh, no! I don’t know what happened! Please don’t eat me! I will go and get my brother! I assure you, he is much much fatter than I!” “He didn’t eat on the hill all day,” scowled the troll. “He doesn’t need to!” answered Fluff. “He is much fatter than this! Too fat to go up the hill, I assure you! Let me pass, and I shall go fetch him. I promise!” The troll thought. The goat before him was quite fat, and he was rather hungry. But a fatter goat would be much better. “Very well then. Go and fetch your brother. And don’t you come back without him!”
The troll climbed back under the bridge, and Fluff scurried off of it. Once he had met back up with Gruff, the brothers ran off towards home as fast as their fat bodies would let them. The further away from the bridge they got, the louder their giggles became. (A few days later, Fluff asked Gruff, "What would you have done if he'd eaten me?" "Well....>_> He didn't so...." )
The troll waited. As far as I know, he is still waiting. He is also quite angry. And swears daily he will never trust a goat again.

After crossing a bridge with a particularly nasty troll guarding it, the biggest billy goat was unfortunately lost. The troll swept him into the water and left the two younger billy goats without their trump card for crossing bridges. More than that, the biggest billy goat was the heart of the group the only glue keeping the two smaller, contentious goats from arguing non stop. So once upon a time, when the two goats were going up the hill to make themselves fat, they ran across yet another troll bridge. They were at an impasse, with no one big enough to kill the troll they knew one would have to be sacrificed. Neither was willing to risk that life for the other, and instead of buckling down and figuring out a cohesive plan the two wily goats made up their own plans, each thinking their plan would end up letting them live.
After a brief discussion the larger of the two goats gruff convinced the smaller that there was a better chance of survival if he went first. "Maybe he'll see that you are not big at all and let us both go!" Exclaimed the larger. The little one knew that things would not work out quite so smoothly- and that the larger had no intention of things working out smoothly, but having plans of his own he acquiesced.
So first of all came the middle billy goat gruff to cross the bridge. "Trip, trap, trip, trap! " went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll . Confident in his plan the middle goat said " Oh, it is only I, the middle billy goat gruff! and I am going up the hillside to make myself fat!" "Now, I'm coming to gobble you up," said the troll. "Oh, no! Pray don't take me, I am far to little. You see, our smallest goat died , and now I am the one to go first, but if you wait a bit, the biggest goat gruff will cross and you will see he is much bigger than I!" Well, be off with you," said the troll. The middle goat chuckled to him self as he made it to the other side, and then trotted off, not wanting to be anywhere near the messy scene that was sure to take place.
So next came the youngest Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge. "Trip, trap, trip, trap! " went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll . "Oh, it is only I, the tiniest Billy Goat Gruff , and I'm going up to the hillside to make myself fat!" He called, doing his best to make himself as small as possible. The troll looked at this small goat, confused. This goat was not bigger than the one before, it was in fact quite a bit smaller! "What?" He roared. "You are not the big goat I was promised!" He paused and then continued. "Oh well, I'll eat you anyways, and get that lying goat when he comes back!" "Wait!" The small goat cried, dancing away from the meaty hand reaching to grab him."I will do nothing to fill you up! And I know that goat has no intention of coming back! If you spare me I will bring that trickster back to you!" The troll considered, but then nodded his head. "Fine, but you may not leave this bridge. I will be eating one of you today." The little goat trotted to the edge and called out "Oh look, Gruff! Our biggest brother is coming back, look how he makes his way across the bridge." Not being the brightest (Though he considers himself so) the middle goat trotted excitedly back to the bridge, and as soon as he stepped one foot on it, the troll reached up and pulled him down. "Lying goat!" Both the troll and the middle goat called at the same time as the goat was devoured. The smallest goat didn't stay to watch, as soon as the middle goat had stepped foot he ran off and started on his attempt to make himself fat. Pleased with is own ingenuity, the goat ate all of the grass this side of the bridge. When he got to the next troll bridge, however. He realized that he was all alone and had no way to get across. The end

The first two manage to pass the big ugly troll with the promise that he'd be able to eat the biggest brother who was coming up next. The biggest billy goat triumphed over evil and vanquished the troll! The three goats went up the hillside and got fat.
When the gruff brothers returned home, they told the story of how they vanquished the big ugly troll but what they didn't know is that the troll had a child. Unknowing that there was any trouble left at the bridge....
The next morning there were two tiny rams, who wanted to go up to the hillside to make themselves fat like the other goats. On the way up was a bridge over a cascading stream they had to cross; and under the bridge lived an angry small troll , with eyes filled with rage, and a nose as long as a poker. The two sisters smiled as they started to cross the bridge together. "Tip, toe, tip, toe! " went the bridge. "Who's that tiptoeing over my bridge?" roared the troll . "Oh, it is only us, the tiniest rams, Isha and Catahecssa , and we thought that you were dead," said the tiny rams, with such a small voice. "Now, I'm coming to gobble you both up," yelled the troll. "Oh, no! Don't eat us," said the tiny rams. "We have come here to show you how to watch the bridge." "Very well," said the troll. The tiny ram Isha then pointed to a spot on the edge of the bridge, "You have to stand there if you REALLY want to scare us." said tiny ram Isha. The angry small troll looked to the spot before walking over to stand on it. The other tiny ram Catahecassa, quietly crawled behind the troll as her sister distracted the troll. The angry small troll stared the tiny ram Isha down and roared, "Now, I'm going to gobble you up!" The tiny ram Isha scrapped the ground with her paw and charged at the troll, tripping it over her sister. The troll fell off the bridge and cracked it's head on a giant boulder in the water. His body tumbled over the boulder and washed away. The two tiny rams ran up to the hillside to eat the grass and get fat. Getting fat is what happened indeed and they both had horrible stomach aches from eating too much grass and puked the rest of the day.

There came a day, one sunny day, when two little sister goats came to a bridge. They had never actually seen a bridge before, being the young little goats they were; but that is what they presumed it was from learning’s they had been taught. “Sister of mine” The brown goat turned to the black “Do you know what momma says bridges are for?” Smiling at the one standing next to her. The black goat turned to smile at her sister “Oh, I know, sister. Bridges are for crossing!” The last sentence bubbled out of her as she giggled. “Yes, dearest sister” Replied the brown little goat. “Bridges are for crossing.” Turning to look at the bridge, she continued “And we wouldn’t want to make the bridge feel out of place, so we might as well use it.” The little black goat nodded her agreement as the brown goat stepped onto the bridge.
As soon as her back foot clopped onto the hard wood, she paused, eyes going wide with surprise and slight wonder. “Sister! Sister!” Quickly turning her head to see the black one waiting behind her, eyes on the foot that had made the sound. They grinned broadly at each other, and at the same time “Dance contest!” Giggling at the same time as well. The black little goat continued on as her sister looked at her “The one who makes the prettiest sound and the best rhythm, will win.” The little brown goat liked the rules and nodded, glee already dancing in her eyes. “I will go first, since I am already on the bridge.”
And so she started, her front paws padding gracefully as her back hoofs clopped and scrapped in a joyful little rhythm. She was half way across the bridge when a not so small face scrunched under the bridge. A troll had been sleeping the day away, and had been woken by the noise of the dancing across his bridge. Wincing with every beat, he roared. “WHO IS THAT BEATING ON MY BRIDGE?!” And jumped up onto the bridge. His rage had narrowed his vision into only seeing the little brown goat that was now across his bridge. Both little goats squeaked their surprise as they saw the troll standing between them. His ears filled with his own roar could not notice that the squeak had come from two different places.
“Why are you making so much noise on my bridge?!” He glared at her. The little brown goat stuck her nose into the air in defense “Hmph! It wasn’t noise, it was dancing!” The little black goat could only stand and stare as her sister conversed with this troll. It wasn’t much bigger than them, only louder. She listened quietly as the troll started talking again, hoping her sister would give her a clue as to some sort of sign. “Well, I do not like your ‘dancing’! If it will make you stop making noise, I will eat you up!” The little brown goat scrunched her nose at that. “You wouldn’t like me, I’m lean and my muscles are tough with use. But if you could squeeze some time into your busy schedule, I can find someone in ten minutes.” The troll shook his head with impatience “Too long, I want something NOW!”
The little black goat’s ears perked as she heard what her sister had said. This was the message she had been waiting for. She wanted her to charge at the troll and ram him, squeezing him between the two of them, and to do it in ten seconds. She made eye contact with her sister and nodded, showing she understood her plan. The little brown goat smiled almost wickedly at the troll, “Too bad!” and started to charge at the troll as her sister charged as well.
They met the troll at the same time, squeezing him between their hard heads. When they met, his skeleton danced right out of his body to land in the water. The water tickling over his ribs to make a zylaphone effect. The little brown goat smiled at her sister as the troll skin laid in a puddle between them. “I don’t know dear sister, I think he wins the dance contest.” The little black goat frowned at this “Awww, but I didn’t even get to go!” The little brown goat shrugged and walked across the bridge again, trotting happily, making sure her hooves made joyful ‘clip-clop’ across the way. “I’m hungry, lets go eat that grass a-top the hill. I think we’ve made this bridge feel needed today.” A sigh escaped the little black goats throat as she smiled. “Okay, I’m hungry too.” And raced to join her sister a-top the hill, filling their bellies with rich green grass.
And so the bridge was later named The Dancing Bridge. For to this day, you can still hear music raised from the bones in the river to dance across to the lush grass beyond.
I hope its not to long, and that you enjoy reading it sweatdrop . It was fun to write<3.
