BATGIRL ( Cassandra ) :: Current Location: Surrounding Areas of Gotham
Status:: Deceased: Tortured and killed by Joker.

Cassandra first met and teamed up with Sapphire Spider in Gotham. Not long after, they ran into the Joker, who was hanging out with his new acquaintance, Deadpool. The confrontation quickly turned into a fight, which left Cassandra reeling from Joker's hand buzzer, and pinned to the ground. Joker proceeded to torture her with the buzzer, and took advantage of her paralysis by unmasking her. It was only when Deadpool stepped in that Joker left Cassandra alone. With Sapphire's help, she tried to take care of the Joker, and his new “friends” Deadpool and Rhino.

The two were split up to try and take out Deadpool and Rhino, and Cassandra managed to talk Deadpool out of fighting them. When she went back for Joker, she fell into a trap and was stuck inside the building with his Joker venom. Sapphire pulled her out of the gas, and a Bat-cycle pulled up to them. Batman ordered the two to leave the scene and get back to the cave at once.

After a chewing-out from Batman, and a fight with Greed, the group left for the JLA satellite. Cassandra stayed on watch there for quite some time.

After that she became....inactive. She reappeared in Gotham for a bit, before she again vanished from sight. Rather than being kidnapped by the being that had taken so many of the other heroes...Cassandra fell victim to someone much worse.

Cassandra was last seen by the Crime Doctor as Joker showed him to the fresh bodies he was to be given as partial payment for his services. Her mask and costume were intact despite several large cuts, lacerations, and burns from the torture Joker had put her through. Another cut in her costume suggesting that she had subjected to...other tortures. Joker told the Doctor that she and the other body were smiling, and their systems still filled with the Joker venom. But...Joker wanted a molding of their faces when the Doctor took them to practice on.

Status: Held captive

Steph has been seen in both her spoiler attire, as well as her old Robin costume. The majority of her time has been with and chasing after Terry-Batman. She took him into her hideout when he was injured, and spent a bit of time with him then. She also secretly followed after him when he went to Joker's hide-out both times. The first time she went down, she used invisibility to sneak around. She put one of the Rosie clones to sleep after the girl had knocked out Terry. The second time she followed him to Joker's hide-out was when he was trying to rescue Shadow Spider. She used herself as a distraction to allow Terry more time to escape. Unfortunately this caused her to become captured by Joker and Deathstroke. The group took her with them to Lex Corp.

She was left there for quite some time. She managed to free herself, and had set about trying to sabotage the computers. When Gossamer returned and caught her, she tried to reason with the witch. Joker unfortunately returned before she could get very far. The clown was just about to torture her with his joy buzzer when the JLA (minus Batman) arrived. Gossamer still had Steph in a telekinetic hold, and was threatening to squeeze the life out of her. J'hon managed to force Gossamer to let Steph go, and kept her close to him.

Deathstroke was then revealed to be Batman in disguise, and he let them all know that he had more than enough evidence to put them all behind bars for quite some time. A moment later, Gossamer vanished from the room in a cloud of black smoke. Joker then went into a rage and lept out the window of the skyscraper to escape. Batman tried to catch him, but received a call that made him drop everything and leave.

Step tried to tell everyone that she knew where Gossamer probably was, and that they should look for her daughter Rosie. The group left Lex Corp, taking Lex to prison.

Not much was seen of any of the JLA after that asside from Superman. It's believed that they had been kidnapped around that time.

Stephanie resurfaced in the tunnel of an abandoned subway. Locked up to a table in a make-shift torture room. How she got herself into that position was never revealed. Though it was revealed that her captor and torturer was the Joker.

She was last seen by the Crime Doctor in Joker's hide-out. She was strapped down to a chair in a room behind Jason and Cassandra's remains. She had apparently been left alive to listen to the others screaming to loosen her up, and was now taking her turn. She had been tortured some, and allowed to sleep just for the nightmares sleep brought her.

Joker promised the Crime Doctor that he could have her body once he finally killed her, and possibly even let him have a turn at torturing her one day.

She remains trapped inside Joker's extremely secured room.
