Sitting on the beach alone by herself, Seina, stared out at the ocean with a distant stare as if she was thinking or possibly daydreaming about something. The Northern Territories, though still vastly unexplored and currently being pioneered was Seina's favorite place in Other World. The sea, the forests, the mountains...Everything about this area was paradise for her. She laid back in the warm sand, digging her hands in, feeling the rough yet soft texture glide through her fingers as she lifted up her hand. This made her smile, but she quickly frowned, missing the view of the ocean. With this Seina quickly sat up to continue staring out at the ocean. It made her feel strangely peaceful hearing the waves crash on the shore and seeing how it seemed to go on and on in the distance. "This place is paradise..." she whispered softly to herself a smiling gracing her somewhat dark features.

Kennis Fionavar kept still in the cool shadow of the trees, looking around the glade for the source of the succulent smell; there, just beyond her reach in the sunlight was a reddish-brown fox. She sighed, knowing there was nothing she could do about it. It had been weeks since she fed and she was starting to feel reckless. Sitting heavily in the damp ground, she began to brood, plucking blades of the deep green grass as she thought.
Just then, a sudden breeze brought another scent to her; it was one she had not encountered before in her short life. It frightened her, but at the same time peaked her curiosity. Deciding it was important to learn its source, she jumped up and sprinted for the cliffs.
It took her the better part of an hour to follow the trail. Kennis found herself on a shaded cliff looking out at the beach... and there in the distance was a strange creature - a woman, she realized. But she was not like any woman Kennis had ever seen.
She is beautiful, she decided, observing her small, delicate features. With a sudden jolt, she realized that the woman before her had great, dark wings. Tilting her head to the side, she came to the conclusion that this woman was potentially dangerous. I shall make her love me, she thought simply with logic befitting her age, If she loves me, then she will not kill me... and then I will have a friend.

It wasn't long before the warm weather, ocean breezes and the sound of waves began to relax Seina to the point of drowsiness. Once again she laid back on the warm sand as it crunched under her weight. Her eyes wandered up toward to the cliffs above her then toward, what looked like a small child peering down at her. Seina's heart jumped at the sudden sight and her eyes immediately locked with the girl's. Raising up and twisting her body so she could see the child better. "Who is this child?" she spoke her head tilted and eyes filling with interest. Where did this child come from? Was she lost? Did she belong to someone? "I'll find out..." she decided standing to her feet and flapping her wings. She flew toward the cliffs at the child her eyes still locked with hers. Stopping mere feet away and landing, Seina turned to the little girl standing before her. "Who... are you?" she asked in a soft curious tone as she stared over at her, eyes glowing greatly with interest.

Kennis jumped behind a nearby tree and peeked out cautiously. "Kennis," she said quietly, observing the strange woman. "Kennis Fionavar." She was tempted to ask what the woman was, but she decided it might be rude and instead asked, "Who are you? I've not seen you here before, and I know who everyone is..."
Now that she's close, something tells me that I should be afraid. I hope she doesn't come any nearer... I'll just wait until she sleeps to feed on her dreams. If I try to put her into a trance now, I'm sure it wouldn't work... She peeked out from behind the tree a little further, her eyes widening slightly at the woman's intimidating stature.

Seina stood gazing at the child waiting for a reply but, was surprised when she saw the girl dart behind a tree. 'Is she scared of me?' she wondered to herself as a smile formed on her face. Seina had to admit to being somewhat amused by her. Perhaps she could play with this child if she warmed up to her later on. That would be nice. Seina liked to play. Hearing the girl's name made Seina's smile widen. The girl's name was a nice name to her. It suited the girl. "My name is Seina." she replied to Kennis's question. With this Seina walked toward the tree, copying the way the girl was hiding. She was growing curious as to why the girl was hiding. Seina had no intentions of hurting this girl so, why was she so afraid? "Why are you hiding Ms. Kennis?" she asked in her usual soft tone her eyes filling with curiousity.

Kennis's eyes widened as Siena came close, looking around the other side of the tree. Kennis forced a sweet smile on her face. "Mama said not to talk to strangers," she replied quietly. She eyed Siena's wings with a mixure of awe and fright.
I wish mama was here... She smoothed down the front of her shirt. "Where do you come from? Where is your family," she asked curiously.

Seina let out a quiet laugh at the girl's response to her question. She could have expected as much. A young girl, always doing what her mother told her to do. Typical child. Though once she asked her question Seina's gaze glazed away from her before slowly closing as she moved from the tree. Seemingly almost bothered or perhaps the girl's questions were a bit too hard for Seina to answer nonetheless she looked to the girl a smile on her face though it was rather a weak one at that. "I come from nowhere and I have no family." she responded in an almost whisper like tone. "For as long as I can remember... I've been alone. Lost. Aimlessly wandering through this world. Though, you are just a child. You could not understand what it's like to feel so alone if you tried to."

"I understand better than you think," she said, her eyes turning black and her face craking like a broken mirror; the next moment, her eyes regained their normal appearance and her face was once more smooth like porcelain. Kennis looked swiftly at the ground, exhaling sharply. Returning her gaze to the woman, she resolved to keep an eye on her.
She might be lying to me. There might be hundreds of her kind waiting to take over, just like those vampires that came flooding in at the start of the war. Kennis let out a long sigh. "Why are you here," she asked slowly in careful, calculating tones.
