Goodbye my love. See you around, for I am dying and I won't be coming back.
Ok so this is a fun game I used to do for Nano, it's called Character Potato. Like hot potato where you throw the potato to your neighbor as fast as you can, character potato works sorta the same way.
This game is to help see other sides of your character that may or may not show up in your story. Knowing what they will do in random situations may just help you out of your writer's block.
What you do is the person who starts (me) will give a situation and the second person will have one of their character react to the situation, then the second person will give a new situation, so for example:
Person1:
Situation: Your character finds a stray cat.
Person 2:
Character: Joe is surprised to see a cat in this town. He quickly picks it up.
Situation (for next person): blahd blah blah
Sound like fun? Make sure your situations are very general. I know we write in many different genres so try to keep the situations to work in all sorts of things. However, if you want, you can list what your genre is in your post so that others can come up with more specific situations for you.
For me my genre for the story I'm working on is non-magical fantasy.
Ok so I shall go first.
Situation: Your character hears someone or something crying. The noise isn't too loud but surely anyone could hear it. What do they do?
