"Are they ever going to stop eating?" Hugo muttered as they continued swarming around the kitchen. The refridgerator had been opened and the food was all over the floor as they engulfed it. They were not neat eaters.
Oblivion sighed, his tail twitching. They had eaten everything in there and now were trying to eat their way thru the door. He backed away as the hole became large enough that they pushed into his room. This was so not good. He suddenly wondered if he could train any as a minion.
Picking up a pillow from the bed, he wiggled it in front of one as if baiting it. *Be a good little minion and eat the pillow. Be nice and I'll give you more.* Hugo might not like this but if he could tame one then he could others.

When they finished with the fridge, they began eating the floor and walls. They moved toward the dining room where Hugo was as they worked their way around the kitchen.
"No!" he said, shaking his head. "You cannot come in here! No!"
The creatures simply stared at him, began laughing their maniacal laughter and slipped past him into the room. It was a dare to them.
Obli's lips twitched upwards when the one came toward him, seeming to sniff the pillow. Then its jaws unhinged and it engulfed the soft fabric nearly taking Obli's hand with it.
*Watch it!* the fiend snapped, checking his fingers to make sure they were intact. Picking up another pillow, he watched the creature to see if he still had its attention.

Obli had its attention. It was eyeing the pillow hungrily. Well, Hugo could buy more, no? The fiend offered it to the creature but stopped to admonish it first.
*Not my fingers,* he said. *Understand?*
It gibbered at him and then opened its jaws, but then hesitated before taking the bite. It looked at him, then his hand and pulled back slightly. Biting the pillow in half, it looked almost pleased with itself. Oblivion laughed somewhat wickedly. This thing might be trainable.
Hugo sighed as they began moving around the dining room. The curtains on the windows were pulled down and eaten as they began to swing from the rods. He backed up towards the door. What else could he do? If he squished them, they would multiply. Of course, they did that anyhow. He just did not know what to do to stop them.

Hugo was eyeing them as they suddenly began to stretch and shake around again. "No! No! No! Not again!" He moved his back against he wall. In only a moment, there were thirty two of the creatures running around the dining room.
blivion would have smiled if he could. This was fun. His eyes narrowed suddenly as the creature he had been feeding began to shiver and shake and stretch. Soon there were two of them and both turned to run to the group, grabbing whatever they could stuff into their mouths.
*No! Come back here!* Oblivion growled in sudden frustration. Now he would have to start over.
"Obli are yours splitting again?" Hugo called.
*Yes. There are... I'm not sure, Hugo. I think 32?*
"Damn.. 64.... " Hugo muttered.

Hugo sighed as he moved to Oblivion's door. They had eaten the table and nearly everything in the dining room. Now they had moved into the living room. So far they had not noticed his study because the door was closed. He had not heard anything in there either so maybe his books were safe at least.
He opened Oblivion's door to stare as the things crawled all over his room, eating everything in sight.
*They have eaten my entire closet, Hugo. We will have to go shopping again,* Oblivion's voice made sure that Hugo understood that they would. *I tried to stop them, but I don't know how. I'm not even sure what they are. I tried to coax one thinking that if I could talk to him then he could stop the others. (Not true, but Hugo did not need to know that.) * Oblivion said, *I won't have a bed left before long.* The bed collapsed suddenly, the critters laughing again. *We need help.*

"We do need help. Let's work our way to the front door slowly. Maybe we can keep them trapped here. I think we need Athan to look at this." Hugo stepped carefully trying not to squish any.
Oblivion watched them closely. Too bad he had not been able to train them. But maybe with more information from Athan, he might be able to figure it out. He could do with a minion or two or three. Someone the he could make do what he wanted. That could be interesting and his eyes looked very amused as he followed Hugo to the front door. Glancing back at them, he saw some sit down where they stood. Some began snoring. It figured.
