The Royal Palace was once meant to be an actual Kingdom all on it's own. The Castle's size was easily enough to compensate a small villages worth of people for rooms, area, and so on. It is a fortress, located within a fortress. It's said that the Valour Family has lived within the confines of said Castle for well over ten thousand years. However the records belonging to the Castle, were long but destroyed. Its rumored that the Castle had been in place even before the Royal Family had claimed it as their own.

Gaining entry to the Castle is no easy task unless permitted entry. A thin, easily and heavily defended pathway is the only way up to the Castle's main gate. There are no other ways of entry beyond that of one that requires wings. Even then, there are constant aerial patrols by various Dragon born. Those that lack the ability to fly, either took up learning to cast Magic, or the skill of a bow and arrow. Trying to gain entry through the sky, is harder then fighting your way up the small pathway... Needless to say, simply flying into the Royal Castle is a task, set impossible. It's said that the tower standing off to the far side of the Castle, that is simply linked by a bridge like passage, is where the King resides when he wishes not to be bothered. There are no guards, however when some form of aerial form tries to enter, they seem to vanish all together, before finding themselves standing at the North gate to the Capital, at which point in time, the Guards are well informed to execute anyone who is seen at said location, due to the strange teleportation spell cast on the Tower.
