The Fire Field: A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

Diana had spent far too much time arguing with her new and decidedly huffy growlithe about this battle. Her parents had seen fit to send her Gormlaith citing that the pokemon was a show mutt but she was free to do whatever she wished with Gormlaith. Hence she was going to see if the growlithe was any good in battle. Looking around the stadium she let out a breath and shrugged out of her jacket and waited to see who she would be facing.
Stepping daintily after her trainer, Gormlaith sniffed looking out across the stadium as they entered. The warmth from the lava pool felt wonderful but Gormlaith knew she wasn't going to be allowed to enjoy it. Diana wanted her to battle like some common mutt! Huffing and looking up at her trainer as she set her furry butt down not going out onto the field yet.

Pandii pulled open the stadium doors to be greeted by gush of hot air.
"Ugh, why is it so hot?" She wondered out loud. "After you, Tsukiya!" She smiled at her Umbreon.
The Umbreon glared back, reluctant to enter the doors.
"Hey-ey, you're the one who wanted to get stronger, remember? This is the only way." The trainer gestured towards the door again.
Tsukiya gave a low growl, as if angry at himself for making that decision, but agreed to go on with the battle.
Once inside, Pandii gave a quick wave to her opponent. "I'm Pandii, and this is..." She looked around, but her Umbreon had disappeared. "Well, Tsukiya, my Umbreon, but I don't know where he went. Anyway, good luck to you!" She hoped Tsukiya was in the field, and had not run away.
Tsukiya, indeed, was exploring the field. It was in no way advantageous to him at all, and he did not like it. He mapped out various escape routes, and areas that were particularly treacherous looking that he should avoid. The rocks beneath his feet burned, adding to his annoyance with this battle.

Flashing a smile and wave to her opponent, Diana nudge Gormlaith away from the trainer's booth and to the field. "I'm Diana! And good luck to you too Pandii!" she called across the field dancing away from the puff of fire from her irate growlithe.
Growling at her trainer, Gormlaith picked her way to a perch on one of the pillars. She had no desire to roam and explore this place, she just wanted to get what she'd been hauled here to do done. Staring out across the field ruefully at the opposing pokemon, Gormlaith's fluffy tail swayed as she shifted from spot to spot to avoid burning her delicate paws.

Finally, Tsukiya spotted his opponent, a growlithe. He slowly made his way over, disapproval clearly on his face. He gave a low growl.

Ears swivering backwards at the growl, Gormlaith's fur was standing on end and her lips curled to expose her fangs. How rude! Drawing on her inner fire, she snapped at the umbreon in equal disapproval of his behaviour, fire coating her flashing fangs.

Tsukiya darted around the field, half because the rocks burned every time he stood still, and half because he didn't want to stand round long enough to be an easy target.
Pandii finally spotted her Umbreon. "Oh, there you are! Tsukiya, put out those flames with a sand-attack!" She exclaimed.
The Umbreon pounced into a pile of sand. It was more like small rocks than anything, but hopefully, it will do. He pawed at the rocks, sending them flying towards the growlithe's eyes.

Huffing at the umbreon, Gormlaith made to chase after him tail held high though she's stopped in her tracks by the blast of sand in her eyes. Howling, she dug her claws into the pillar she was standing on, shaking her head violently to clear her eyes.
"Shake it off and hit him with a flamethrower!" Leaning against the rail of the trainer's box, Diana had ceased fanning herself instead focused on the battle.
Shaking her head one more time, Gormlaith bounded onto one of the other pillars, aiming a flamethrower at the offending umbreon.

(( Your growlithe is weak against ground attacks, so sand-attack should have done 150HP damage. Also, don't forget to list Growl's effect (-50ATK) under your HP. ))
Tsukiya pounced, but let out a yelp, as was singed by the growlithe's attack.
"End this quickly with another sand-attack!" Pandii commanded. She was just as uncomfortable with the heat as her opponent.
Tsukiya silently agreed, and swiped another paw full of rocky sand towards the fire pokemon.

Whining unhappily at the second faceful of sand she shook her head. It burned her eyes and dirtied her fur. Neither of which helped improve her mood or morale with this battle.
Puffing at the heat Diana called out another command, "Try another flamethrower, Gormlaith!"
Lets out another gout of flame at the umbreon hoping to do more than clip him this time.

A stream of flames chased Tsukiya. It burned, but he ignored it.
"Find a safe spot to rest!" Pandii was starting to sweat.
The Umbreon jumped from rock tower to rock tower, heading towards the highest one. Once there, he noticed that the rocks didn't burn as badly. Actually, it felt warm, like a sun-bathed boulder. He laid down to rest, and immediately felt his strength returning to him.
